It’s not always pretty but I was able to get up high in the mountains of Colorado(13,500 feet-ish) this past September to check off 11 years of skiing at least once a month

2 days at the end of November after an almost 40 inch thanksgiving week cycle. None of the steep terrain is open quite yet so lots of dad turns but certainly a great start to the season.

Thank you for the beta my friend. I Will be there Tuesday and Thursday to check them out! 1 and 4 are the best 👌
Nice Zach. Didn't look too bad!
Very nice!
First
you are crazyy damn
yo zach, where is 1:44 for us n00bs? willys?
Looks like you walked down it lmao
I’d like to get a day back at Steamboat it’s been since I was like 10 years old
Keep an eye on the weather and make it happen. Weekday pow at steamboat is unmatched. Especially if you can get there the night before, stay at gravity Haus Slopeside for $300(Slopeside parking included) and you will not regret it.
Very nice
Thank you!
you should vlog bro
You road this so much harder then any video I seen of the east wall most videos are od people that are riding horrible conditions and have no buisness being up there mad props!
Much respect for surviving all that, but it does not look like fun at all. It's like start-stop constantly just to find enough snow coverage. Maybe the line needs another foot or two of snow.
Skied 60 months in a row in the Cascades... easy to find 'snow' on the old go-to, Mt Rainier (to Camp Muir). Always got a kick out of passing hikers in other places like the day hike up to Snow Lake near Alpental. Me taking my skis for a walk, and them hiking up in shorts and tee's. Finally called it quits after one particularly thin August / September spell. Glad I did it though! Thanks for sharing your story! Tony, now in Carbondale, CO
Just like swimming in a puddle.
Dude, come to Washington- we have skiable snow on our volcanoes year round!
But there is no Global Warming! 🤔🤔🤔😉😉😉🤨🤨🤨🙄🙄🙄XC SKIER here in the Appalachian mountains of Western Maryland! The last time I went XC skiing was Christmas 2017/ Erie ,Pennsylvania . They got over 5 feet of snow!
I absolutely love your top-to-bottom footage-it’s incredible! I run a channel dedicated to showcasing amazing ski and snowboard runs from around the world, and I’d love to collaborate with you. Let’s connect so I can help share your videos and give them the spotlight they deserve! Cheers, Jason
As someone who spends close to half the day lapping pali, I've never seen that line off the tree stump. That was MASSIVE
Love the Pali crew!!! The big air only goes a handful of days a year. Need to wait for spring until the rocks in the landing are filled in. It’s called Plaque Rock, keep an eye out your next ride up pali you can see the plaque on the side of the rock from the lift.
Funny how easy Copper is after skiing Abasin for long time. Nice straight lining it!!
#JSkis looking good!
This is the JSkis Friend ski, most fun floaty pow stick around
Killing it as always! Need more snow!
Thank you!!! We are dreaming of it, hopefully the snow dances work.
Dude knows everyone on the mountain
@@v12tommy you ride the basin you are the family
Where is this?
The Pali lift @arapahoebasin
You make it look so easy! Pali is the best, can't wait to go back.
You know where to find us
nice jumps
Geez, that’s crazy
I need to get better to enjoy this, lovely!
Come ski the basin, it will help you get better real quick!
Suprsing amount of snow there given how little has been falling since early novemeber
This was from last march. Wish it was Current!
I used to work at Copper. Miss it! You got me feeling homesick. Of course A-Basin was more like home to me. Now I'm in the East. It's not the same. Love your videos! I'm a long time subscriber. Check out my original songs. Playlist titled Mountain Man has originals and a handful of covers. Hope you enjoy them! I'd love it if you found one you'd like to use in your vids. ✌❤❄
thanks for saying Hello, ABasin and Copper are absolutely my favorite resorts out here. I love your songs too, you have a lot of talent!
@Zach_Ryan Thanks for checking it out! Keep on rippin', brother!
Nice!

Hey good for you guys. The East Coast is finally looking down the barrel to the start of the season next weekend.
@@Henry_Faulkner looks like Vermont is finally getting it, had some friends skiing decent pow in Killington this weekend.
That’s just SOoooo unfair ! We have nothing in Europe yet! December 1st today and we just have grass everywhere ! :( and a week of sunshine forecast. After watching this I am SO depressed! 😔
@@TJ-mb4qs you can always come visit us in the states!
@@Zach_Ryan I’d love to , that looks so awesome!
Awesome !!! Great skier.
Oh to have young knees again…
This is awesome man, which J skis are you rocking?
7:02 😂
Nice Zach. See you at the Basin soon!
how soon did you notice this was a bad idea?
My hands never sweat so much just by watching a video.
adventure skiing
If you had fallen among those dense "shark's teeth" - how would your would-be rescuers have reached you without extreme high risk to themselves? No way to get a sled down that, so probably a helicopter would have been involved, but even so it would need to get dangerously close to terrain that steep. I get the thrill of accomplishment of successfully skiing challenging terrain, but there comes a point where you put others at unacceptably dangerous risk if you miscalculate your ability to choose and execute a long sequence of challenging, risky moves.
@@TheNcmore “if you miscalculate” I understand your point but I did not miscalculate. I am moving at an extremely slow pace to ensure every calculated move is accomplished successfully. Resorts that have this type of terrain also have ski patrollers that are regularly trained in high angle rescue skills. Most of the ski patrollers here are my friends and close acquaintances and putting them in danger is always at the forefront of my mind when making decisions on whether or not I am capable of skiing any specific piece of terrain
If you're that desperate for steeps, it's time to hit the Backcountry 😂 guessing you were scoping for a freeride comp?
Well done! However, I'm of the opinion that just because you can doesn't mean you should. Steep is steep but too many rocks to enjoy. Imo
Crested butte has some serious runs. Did you hit Body Bag?
Now hear yee, thats a Zach attack in its finest.
