The God father, 1972. Opening scene, featuring the Godfather, Marlon Brando. My all time favorite scene. Simply majestic... Legendary acting skills..!
The Godfather Saga is my all time favorite. We watch often even on networks with ads, altho we have the DVDs. lol
One of my favorite examples of excellent film making. No dramatic suspenseful music, just a man suddenly dying. Brando at his best, and amazing how the kid plays so perfectly as well.
It’s good the other guy didn’t escape. He was too squirrelly and a nervous mess. 100% he would’ve gotten them caught if they did survive.
I was on the submarine who picked them up. We took these three to the Philipines where they became accomplished shoe makers for First Lady Marcos.
They escaped alright, even if they didn't this the most heroic thing I think any human being has ever attempted. Must have had nerves of steel those 3 lads !
Maybe one of the escapees posted a comment here.
1:42 🥱🥱🥱🥱😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I read somewhere that this wasn’t his first assistant attempt and that why he talks the way he does
Amazing
THE TRi0, THEY MADE iT !!! Huu Haa
9:33 the bends Radiohead lol😅
so much life in one scene
As a longtime Bay Area resident, I get scared watching them enter the water knowing how sharks do hang around in the bay. I'll take Andy's escape through the sewer pipe in The Shawshank Redemption over escaping from prison just to get my leg bitten off.
A really great film about a real escape from alcatraz the final scene is great it make you think that they really made it
Fredos such an giant asshole
Anyone else thinking that fence making alot of noise lol
I hope frank and angil brother saw this last scene of the movie it might remind their real exacpe from alcatraz
we miss you marlon brando keep thinking happy thoughts in the hevens above.
Nice job Fredo. Could you at least get some help?😂
In real life, I wager most of us would have reacted much the same way as Fredo if we saw our dad shot in front of us.
No. Just you
I'm agree. Must guys got balls to comment, but they never saw a shooting in real life.
Even if Charly Butts did managed to escape Alcatraz with Frank Morris and the Anglin Brothers by catching up with them on time, the police would have known where to find Butts since he would have gone straight back to his wife as a family reunion, so he'd have gotten recaptured back to Alcatraz for good.
The kid was nailing everything with DDT...it was only a matter of time.
Who came here After Expedition Unknown?
Waiting for loki 😂
The 3d guy didn’t had any fearing problems.. he stopped by piece of metal bar and he can’t passing through the hole.. I don’t know why the movie director changed the real story.. also didn’t understood why they didn’t go during summer to avoid the coldness..
And then Frank got snapped up by the TVA and he became Casey.
Loki
Mesmo sendo bandidos nos cidadaos de bem, estamos torcendo para q eles tenham conseguido escapar kkkk
0:50-0:53 I counted 9 rounds fired. It’s later said by Sollozzo that he was hit 5 times. Honestly, that was pretty accurate shooting by his thugs, as it is extremely hard to hit a target with any accuracy from more than 10 yards, if firing a short barreled handgun, like they were.
Was John Cazale a good actor?
Yes. An excellent actor. He made just 5 films and literally every one was nominated for Best Picture.
Yes he was. It’s unfortunate he passed so early on
HELLO
That character actor who played the 4th guy who gets left behind has so many TV sitcom appearances.
Larry Hankin. Check out his filmography. He’s been in everything lol. I loved him in Breaking Bad
@@jimlahey3919 Home Alone, Trains Planes & Automobiles, and Seinfeld, too!
Do you think Fredo would have felt better about himself down the line if he managed to get a shot off
I absolutely loved this movie ! Just straight to the point. No extra BS drama.
The crossed the border to Mexico 😂
yeah perfect hiding spot for them
It’s kinda creepy how this man looks just like frank
I love the look on English's face when the guard starts blowing his whistle..He has that look of satisfaction knowing that Frank made it.
butts blew his chance :( chickened out

Allan Clayton West is his real name, He was released in 1967, but was later arrested in Florida
We all want that escape will be done succesfully😊
The adrenaline rush they must have had! 😰
English was so glad he made it. 😊😊😊
I felt so bad for Butts.. (if only he would have been a little faster.) 😢😢😢😢

Based on the real life murder of Frank Scalise, underboss of the Gambino family at a produce store. He was killed by two mob assassins dressed identically to confuse witnesses.
The real guys did escaped, and they never found the bodies. In the 1979 (the year this movie came out) the FBI called it quits, after searching for them 15 years after their escape. Although they're still on the wanted list, and there have been sightings on them alive but old, so far the world will never know
if they found them today would they still prosecute them?
@@Kenny-ep2nf maybe but they'll give them a less prison sentence in case if they don't have a lot of time to live
@@michaelvega6646 but I mean what’s the point if it’s been decades since they escaped?
@@Kenny-ep2nf because, they will still let them be in prison till the day they die if they've been found, though some think their dead already
@@michaelvega6646 but why torture them like that after several decades go by?
They had life jackets the raft they made was 14 foot long with paddles interestingly a 150m cord went missing from the dock that night the could have got pulled along by boat to horseshoe bay rest washed up on angel island
Does it get more epic than escaping Alcatraz
Fredo is as useless as tits on a boar
This is the origin story for The Mule
Even though no one knows if they made or not. I honestly don’t see them surviving the cold ass water San Francisco is known for I mean hypothermia. Swimming for that long with little equipment and no way of keeping warm. No way they survived
Vito:Dude wtf I'm bleeding
