Gorgeous redo of one of the most magical pieces in jazz history. I've listened to Flamenco Sketches on Kind of Blue more times than I can count. That Adderley super low exhaling note at the end of his solo is supernatural.
VERY NICE......Try Joe Bonamassa for some REAL MUSIC...LOL Tried to share it but there is NOT that option available....But do yourself a favor and check out what might be the greatest guitarist ever...
One more thing: You don't need to be an outcast to be a Jazz artist. There is no contradiction in being popular and being a Jazz artist. You self-entitled Jazz experts seem to love to bash artists that become more popular! Get off your imaginary high horses, read a little, learn a little, maybe study some sociology, maybe try to truly learn music and what music is about.
BTW ... since when playing good music in whichever channel is an "example of the collapse of western civilization"??? If you are a Jazz lover, you should be happy to see it spreading everywhere! Let there be Jazz on Pop channels! I can't believe how people can be so small and pompous!
These pour souls . . . all they know how to do is put great artists down! You are simply pitiful! I have a suggestion: get yourself out there and do something productive! Those of you that are so ready to criticize really sign your own testament of stupidity! You know absolutely nothing about music, much less about art. If anything, you are mere people that maybe play an instrument, but that does not make you a musician . . . and for sure not an artist! Botti and Sanborn: Two Greats, period!
@sjmcbrearty Get yourself on youtube, and let's see what you've got. If you can play at a better standard than Botti,I look forward to hearing you play.
Amazing what Sanborn can do with the horn, Botti tone is perfect however he has stated he cannot play jazz and is not a jazz musician he just plays music. I just love music and I appreciate what these guys bring to the table
@spiderpeirce1 Yes... yes I do play the trumpet... and Chris Botti is the Kenny G of the trumpet- he can't play, isn't original and sounds like a bad copy of a good player.
雰囲気に負けそうです💕✨👏👏👏
Botti is class
RIP David Sanborn, a great Artist

They did this justice. Miles Davis woulda gave him the side eye.

EXCELENTE COMBINACION...DE DOS EN M OPINION DE LOS MEJORES.

Miles Davis is a GREAT and should not be compared to any other trumpet player. Much respect to Chtis Botti though, he is a brilliant musician as well.
why is there a mute button for this video?
Chris and David may be smooth jazz players, but they have major straight ahead jazz chops, David especially.
Didn't Bill Evans write this???
That awkward moment when you realize Flamenco Sketches is modal jazz, not smooth jazz.
Oh, yeah !
Wow...I never thought I would enjoy and appreciate a Chris Botti performance.
Just listen and enjoy, will ya quite evaluating everything...

With the benefit of a decade of maturation, I absolutely agree with you. It was a bitter, unnecessary comment from a jazz snob for sure.
