Hello! This is the first of hopefully many videos to you will have the displeasure to view on my channel. See what is to come in the coming weeks/months/years. But nerds, hold onto your pocket protectors and twelve-sided dice because Cosmere parodies are coming down the pipeline. Oh yeah , share and subscribe please. That bookshelf won't pay for itself.
Why are some of your videos set as for kids and other not?
this is one of the best video I have watched today. thanks for sharing. subbed and liked ! a fellow creator ,,..,.,.,
I never knew I needed this. Someone send this to Sanderson and record his reaction!
I'm dead 🤣, this is genius.
Fun fact: James S.A. Corey is actually two dudes going under one pen name.
Well how about that. I had no idea. Thanks!
James! This made me cry a little! You're amazing, and I love you, and I miss you!
Thank a lot Becky. Miss you too.
I think its poorly shot. Moiraine is being very friendly and isnt flashing her ring, Marin just notices her ring.
Thanks for sharing! I don't know much about cinematography (my videos give that away) so I can't speak to the quality of the filming. I would be interested to hear why you think that. 👍
@@jwalterharris her attitude from frame before the "ring" shot and after portrays like she just being friendly and asking for place to stay, while framing of the shot seems like she is flashing her ring to assert dominance. I think its meant to mean Marin just notices her ring and shows proper respect while the shot makes it seem she is asserting dominance and wants everyone to know who she is. Its kind of oddly shot scene Its like in war movie soldier walks to a bar to get a drink and the bartender knows military insignia and goes "yes general right away!" Or the general going to the bar showing his insignia to someones face and expecting to get served like a general. Its really minor but it shows different personality type of the character.
Ah, I see. Good point. Thanks for pointing that out!
I started reading this series a few weeks ago because of your videos! So far I’m loving it. So excited for this show.
Standing by the fireplace was quick because she only used it to regain her serenity, after being outed by Marin Al'vere to everyone in the inn, that she is Aes Sedai!!! if you watch again you can see the ring comes into focus for Marin's eyes only , Moiraine used it to make sure her request is not refused cause no one says no to Aes Sedai, but Innkeeper did not get the hint to keep her identity secret and her reaction was to be respectful and that meant addressing Moirane by title ... and sadly outing her to everyone ... So when Moiraine turns around again she is all serenity and calm, scanning room for the possible Dragon reborn she is searching for... but do not forget she can also sense the spark for channeling in women ... nice reaction ! ... Have you seen the latest shadowspawn trailer with Fade and armies of trolocs attacking Emond field, they dropped it a few hours ago, I think it is the far the best footage we got to see!
Oh, good point! If only Mistress Al'vere's discretion was as good as her honeycakes (pretty sure Rand says something about her honeycakes 🤔). And no, I have not seen it! Thanks for the tip!
@@jwalterharris discretion as good as honey cake ... that's fantastic ....made me laugh!

so I see a Cremposter here HAHAHA. Good Work. I really enjoyed it. people may complain if they do not see the fanart creators names. Maybe you could put those names as a comment
Thanks! Cremost is honestly the perfect classification for whatever this is that I created. Hope you'll check out some of my other videos and subscribe! Also, the artists names are in the credits at the end. 👍
Now that I have the first book I’ll need to get around to it before the score starts!
It's a good one!
Interesting observation about the greenery when the first book starts as you point out in a sort of cold drought. I haven’t heard this addressed in the many reactions I have seen. Maybe they are starting further back to establish the normal atmosphere from which our young people start. I’m in the fifth book and very much looking forward to the show.
I had not thought of it that way. Good point!
Its my favorite series, but its not for everyone. Book one is very much a LOTR love letter, but the series really goes a different direction from book two on. The description is a strong point for me, as is the prose in general. The characters are exceptional, and throughout the course of the series you will change your opinion of them significantly. The series also has a interesting magic system that grows and evolves naturally, epic battles, and every other reason under the sun to give it a try. Stay away from spoilers, the story is not what anybody thinks it will be. My nephew depends on plasma transfusions for a immune deficiency Bless you for spreading the word for the need for constant donors. Cheers
The more people talk about the twists and turns gets me so excited.
I am just starting Eye of the World for a 3rd time and I love the trailer, this is one of my top series, enjoy the ride

If you think of what happens to the characters visually, the women go to a magical tower of the most powerful people in the world. There's a good argument to be made about them being a very big focal point. It also allows them to slowly build up the three boys as they should be, rather than immediately setting the expectations high. The audience is sort of in line with the mentality of the boys themselves, neither really expect a ton.
That is a really good point.
I am going to keep making videos about my WOT journey. Like and subscribe for updates!
The first 3 books are basically the prologue for the rest of the series. Book 4 is when the series really starts branching out to become the epic series it is.
Shadow Rising is one of the best fantasy books of all time.
That is one impressive prologue. I am enjoying it as it is so if it only gets better, that bodes very well for my goldfish-length attention span.
@@jwalterharris Think of the first 3 books as RJ introducing the main characters and laying the ground work before the rest of the series kicks your ass, especially books 4, 5 & 6.
😂 I hope that's a good thing.
@@jwalterharris let's just say there are some amazing plotlines, fantastic character developments and epic moments. And I almost guarantee the conclusion of Book 6 will leave you staring into space for a little while after lol

First off good on you for reading the books :) Its a long series and definitely not for every reader, you will know by the end of book 3 if its for you or not, and funny enough there are scenes from books 2 and 3 in the first season so that kind of works out :) Don't worry about not knowing where its headed, you will still feel that way on book 13. As a big fan of the books, I love this trailer, its cosmetically different, but it has the spirit.
Thanks for the insight! Looks like I better read faster and get the first three done so I am all ready for the show.
@@jwalterharris I am pretty sure its just a scene or two :) Read and enjoy is the important thing. That way you can complain when the show does it "wrong" :)
I definitely am enjoying. Please like and subscribe to follow my WOT journey!
I read it all. If I were to list movies that do what wheel of time does I would name: Mission: Impossible, Braveheart, Lord of the Rings, Jessica Jones, Elizabeth (1998), Inception, Akira. Yea imagine a show about the Spanish, French, and British all fighting a war with each other and an evil force. Magic, mystery, poli-ticking, betrayal, spies, love, friendship, and psychological twisted manipulation. It's fun. Coming of age. Bittersweet ending.
I am excited for the journey ahead. Thanks for your comment!
And if you want to see more of my WOT journey, please subscribe!
Very excited for this. Saw the trailer earlier, and while it doesn't look "spot on" as far as following the books, I agree that it looks entertaining and should be fun to watch regardless.
Totally agree! It should be a great time!
Also the bookshelf behind you looks great. Love the Sanderson and Jim Butcher!
Thanks! It is the beginning of what hopefully will become an impressive collection.
Your’re right, it was a crowd pleaser for me and I haven’t even read the books! I put a hold on the audiobook through my library but it’s an 8 week wait 😩
I enjoyed this series. It is such a great world. I obviously have my problems with it, but I don’t understand the hate it get
I love sitting back and just soaking in the vivid descriptions. I also now want to travel from inn to inn and play the flute and juggle to earn a meal and a bed. I'll pass on the Darkfriends though.
Beautiful and hilarious! Thank you for this
Hopefully, the Cosmere Crooner will pop up on Scadrial sometime. I think some nobles booked him for a ball. 🤔
Brandon Sanderson ruin all other books with his brilliance. Don’t read him if you want to enjoy any other books
Perfectly said. 😅
I don't understand this criticism that people have over descriptive passages, in books? What, are these children? Although I did give my sister a book series once to read, a mature fantasy, and she gave up reading it saying the author described things too much. She is a very simplistic person and prefers watching comedy movies to mature dramas. That's how I see these people, as being immature. I think you will enjoy your Wheel of Time journey, it is richly rewarding. I think the main criticism of the series is the pacing, Jordan changes his writing style during the series.
I am definitely enjoying the book. I don't know if I am far enough into the book/series to notice the pacing but I suspect that after a few million words, I'll pick up on it. Or not. I'm oblivious sometimes.
Everybody is different, and few are actually simple if you look hard enough :) some just don't have the patience to wait for the payoffs.
Amazing. Incredible. Touching.
Incredible
Thanks! I really appreciate your efforts to please the algorithm in my behalf with your comments. 😅
Beautifully done. I love the emotion behind it. This is a great song, I’ve always loved it.
Thanks a lot! That's high praise coming from you.
I seriously need to read this. It's been sitting on my shelf for literally as long as I can remember. Maybe one day XD
I've been really enjoying it so far.
Full Disclosure: You also need to read LotR ASAP! (And the last 10% of The Hobbit) Wheel of Time is definitely on my list!
Yeah, I'm a sinner in the fantasy world. I have the new audiobook with Andy Serkis pre-ordered on Audible. I'll start that once it comes out.
The length of these books/series has always intimidated me away from starting them…..but then again I’m a huge Stormlight Archive fan and those books are massive. So maybe I should start this book!
The last few books in Wheel of Time are actually written by Brandon Sanderson! If you are a Stormlight fan then you will likely enjoy WOT, assuming you can maintain enthusiasm over such a long story. Happy reading!
I absolutely loved Project Hail Mary. It was my first of Weir's books, and it did not disappoint. Rocky is amazing XD
EVERYONE should read Branderson
haha this is great. didn't know you have a youtube channel now! that's so cool XD
Sure do! Thanks for watching!
