Please keep this video up. I’ve looked for hours on this exact belt. And I want to say you’re the only source that verifies this is the belt for the alternator-main bearing. Every other time I look I’m always finding a/c serpentine belt. You the man!

Is it possible that the alternator got damaged by a to tight belt? I’ve recently bought a Lancer myself, which got new alternator and belt recently, and sometimes it does a very loud squeaking noise coming from the belt/alternator. Sometimes it goes away, sometimes it keeps on. It gets louder as soon as I drive faster. Now my battery does not charged very well, and I think the alternator broke down. If I measure the voltage while the Lancer is running, it does not get charged.

Fortunately I have the same OBD2 but with different software. I have just spent the last 3 weeks doing test runs and examining sensor responses, no fault codes but failed the UK Lambda emission test. I had both O2 sensor and Catalyst "Not Ready" status showing, somehow I managed to clear both "Not Ready" states and passed the Lambda emission test (only just). I think I need to do some heavy motorway driving to clean up the Cat, but it is good that I can compare my results with yours so thanks for your efforts in making this vdeo.

Happened to me as well while working on a single front wheel. It moved back because the weight of the car wasn't on the parking brake.

I just saw this exact catch can for like $76 and I did see the options which has for my car "2017 Lancer ES" (4B11) its non turbo, and will it work just fine you think?

Thanks for the video, just did mine today. One call out, I also needed to loosen bolt A in order for the tension on B to begin to loosen. Just used a simple 14mm combination wrench.

Powder blue: I think what you are saying use a filter strap wrench? It would work good.

Mine is a 2014 and the owners manual calls for 6.2 qts of oil. I don't think that for the next year they would add that much more oil than what these guys used. Nice idea to make access to the filter, is it possible to make it a door type of entry ?
