I think both is a great Idea, but anytime it would fit to play meryl or just to change it up is also good.

According to page 8 of the rules, when you leapfrog an enemy you have to place the alert under the player *after* they complete the move. This game is hard as hell....but I love it!

Definitely a game that is stressing the Stealth part of your Tactical Espionage Action. Absolutely brutal when you get an alert. I almost think you have to show off playing as both, if for no other reason than to see (and i know, its hard enough to keep track of the rules as it is...) how the system behaves/feels with multiple characters moving/making noise/alerting etc.

The rules make it sound like if the active guard Los has the attention token then they will move to it but the others who do not have it in los wont move towards it?

How do you handle a KO'd guard being found by another guard? Does the active guard land on top of or adjacent to the KO'd guard? And when he wakes him where do you place them? Also, is the active guards turn over at that point or does he finish his patrol or go into alert? Thanks to anyone who replies?

12:01 Correct me if I'm wrong. Page 6 of the campaign book says if you are in enemy LOS at the start of a move (not a turn), then the alert token follows Snake to where he ends on that move. So the Alert token should have followed you either one tile over to the left if it was a sneak, or 2 tiles (under snake) if that was a dash. You did make it follow you, but looks like the rules intend it to follow you where you stop even if you broke los

I love the video, but you misplaced the alert, it would go to the corner of where they lost sight of snake. It is easy to miss.

The last cover was indeed a GameCube bundle edition (only in Japan), with the Game and a special silver GameCube with the foxhound logo on top. It was this bundle that came with the Metal Gear GameCube bonus disc, and The Twin Snake game itself came with a Special Grey into Black style cover.

@4:35 MGS4 has a similar quirk when you use nightvision/thermal mode in the solid eye. It's usually too quick to notice but because all player and NPC models have their textures replaced you get a very large FPS boost.

I played the demo over and over until my dad went and got it for me. I dont think he realizes how much that impacted my life.

Can cards be sleeved and stored back in the box and in memory box?

One rule that was mentioned a handful years ago in previews is that the alert token ends up in the first space AROUND the corner because that is logically the place the guard would expect you to be. I.E. he watched you leave the LOS to obviously one space beyond. I don't know if it still applies in this finished version, though. Applogies if this was already figured out.

This was great! I loved seeing the failures and wins, to really feel out the game. I hope you end up doing all the missions AND with different characters too! Part of the fun of this boarf game is playing other people after all.

Great vid! Can’t wait to see more loving all the little touches you’re adding. Just for future reference… Everybody gets the ‘Finding a New Path’ rule wrong in this game. When you end a guards movement on a double arrow space, and there is a space available to the left or right, then you turn the guard to face that direction regardless of what is on the card. You refer to the card direction only when there is a choice of a left and right path. So at 15:11 for example, the guard ended his move on a double arrow and there was a path available to the left so he would have turned left. The same process applies for when a guard reaches a corner, but people intuitively tend to get this part right (e.g. the same guard I just mentioned followed the ‘Find a New Path’ process correctly at 15:00 to get around the corner, instead of following the arrow on the card to do a 180 degree turn). Hope this helps!
