The Roland JV-1080 is actually PCM and uses the same sort of sound engine as the Roland D-70 or very similar to the Roland D-70, by that time Roland were no longer producing synthesizers with LA Synthesis. Anyway I have a Roland JV-1080 that I bought back in 2008 after wathing some videos of one on RUclips and then realizing this was the sound module used on so many pop records and even TV programs like "Who wants to be a millionaire" as well as many small record companies using this module for "sound alike" song covers and Karaoke backing tracks and even some of CYP's producers including Ken Bolam, Steve Allen Jones and Jeff Hammer using this sound module to create music arrangements for nursery rhymes and Christmas carols, Any Clarke also used either a JV-1080 or JV-2080 on many song covers and nursery rhyme backing tracks he produced for CRS Records and also the Music Bank "Children's Party CDs featuring song covers of popular chart and party songs of the early 2000s were largely done with either a JV-1080 or 2080. I did also consider the older JV-880 but I went for the JV-1080 because it has more patches and better stock drums, the stock rhythm sets are actually on midi channel 10. I don't know weather or not you might want to also invest in some of the SRJV expansion boards but the ones I highly reccomend are "Orchestral" and "Bass and drums".

Is there a particular reason why you record the synth´s audio into Audacity and then move it to FL intead of recording it directly into the DAW? I also use FL so maybe it comes handy.
