*NEW* DRS 68004 'Rapid' Storms through Stafford working the 4S44 - Daventry Drs (Malcolm W H) to Coatbridge F.L.T. inermodal on Friday. A sight that i didnt think i personally would see for a while! This time LNER A4 60009 'Union of South Africa' has her turn on 'The Cathedrals Express' 'Highlands & Islands Explorer', her turn being the penultimate day of the week long tour to Scotland from London. She is seen working 1Z80 Durham to London Victoria on the glorious day of the 17/5/14. Enjoy.

Saturday the 17th May 2014 saw the start of the eagerly awaited NVR Deisel Gala. Featuring a whole host of different locos. The weekend was lined up to be a scorcher, and believe me it was! Temperatures hit a baking 24 degrees it sure made for some beautiful sunny scenes! This is my first attempt at lineside shots on the NVR so i apologises in advance for this video. Here we see Deltic D9016 'Gordon Highlander's' last day in traffic at the GCR before it heads back to... well, we'll see. After visiting fo the previous Diesel Gala in March its time to wave her a goodbye. But anyway, a great weekend was had both filming the beast from the lineside and travelling behind her. Much Clag and Thrash to be experienced in this video so I sugest you turn the speakers ...

D1015 Leads the 0Z52 Heritage convoy from Dereham U.K.F. to Washwood Heath Met.Cammel today consiting of Class 52: D1015, Class 37: 37219, Class 40: D306 and Class 50: 50007. We then see The Crew of D1015 take a well earned lunch break at Leicster UDS while awaiting the road. I took the oppertunity of the 45 minute stop to get some close ups of the brilliant machines!

In the Pollution Clouds... GWR Castle Class No. 5043 'Earl Of Mount Edgcumbe' Hammers the 1Z60 'The Great Spaghetti Western' on her first outing of 2014, sporting the Headboard 'The Italian Job'... Brilliant...

A selection of shots from today. West Country Class No. 34046 'Braunton' gallops her way through the leicestershire Countryside with the 1Z67 'The Peak Forester'. Seen first in the typical unphotogenic cloud cover, then seen on the return first steaming into Melton where she pauses for 12 minutes to take on water and gives the fireman a chance to prepare his fire for the harsh climb towards Lan...

Black 5 pairing 45231 44871 are seen sharing the load at Barrow Upon Soar. Seen here accelerating of Syston Junction. We see the pair trying to make up 11 mins on the 1Z71 'The Buxton Spa Express'. 15/3/14

DRS Trio 37402 37409 37218 are seen here gritting their teeth up the harsh climb towards Frisby this morning displaying some fantastic sounds! Then we catch up with them on the return leg where they speed through Melton Mowbray Station.

Here we see a rather lackluster performance from Tyseleys resident GWR Hall Class No. 4965 'Rood Ashton Hall' on the 1Z65 'Valentines Dinner Express' on the evening of the 14/2/14. Seen pushing through the aftermath of a Mid-Atlantic storm on a rather unromantic looking Valentines Day.

Another show stopper was pulled out the bag with days to spare! BR 9F No. 92214 'Cock O' The North' (NYMR) attended and then was Purchased by and is now based at the GCR as of 27/1/14, the news of the purchase just days after the gala took place...
