Did you miss the part with the new weights?
I've done a few of these windows and I don't see any reason to take the old wood boxing out and replace it with new timber, I screw straight into the original seasoned timber. But good video, by the way whats he spraying on the timber trim before putting on his superglue?

Nice to see someone actually fit a UPVC sash window properly, I have seen way too many installed leaving the original box frame in place, which usually results in too much PVC being visible around the window and just looks wrong and ugly. As well as looking ugly, the original box frame is likely to be already rotten and will only rot more.

Hi Steve, yes the top does move down - it will also tilt in for cleaning.
