What year was this? Love old footage like that
1982, we will have more to come, thanks for watching

Gold❤ I was there. Born and raised in T-R. Still live there, still going to the GP. Those were the big years! Brings me goose bumps. Thank you so much for your videos. By the way, L.P Dumoulin lives 2 streets from me. Dumoulins are awesome guys. My son works at the kart track and meets them often.

Hi Little Monaco, My name is Cameron Greenwood Cramp AKA CGC. I'm an Aussie. I'm almost 28 years old. I was born on February 6 1997. I live in Melbourne in Australia AKA the land down under. I am the biggest fan of IMSA and the WEC in the land down under too. I've been into IMSA for 21 years now. And I love it. It's actually my favourite motorsport nowadays along with the World Endurance Championship AKA WEC and MotoGP & the 24 Hours Of Le Mans. Back in the day, I used to be into all motorsports, but not anymore. It's been like that for the last 12 years also. My favourite IMSA season is every single one of them. Dan Marvin 👍🏻
Good vintage racing ❤
Yes it was!
Close racing always in those series 👍🏻
So close!
Thanks for the upload. These guys are nuts. Excellent racing, I love these cars, they're crazy fast.
Yes they are!, happy you like the content
Great, historical footage and unfortunately an ominous sign of things to come three years later.
Little Monaco..what a joke..without money. boats, dream cars dream girls, casino
Did you ever visit the place? The parallel is made because in 1968 the local committee was in invited by the Monaco Grand Prix to visit the F1 Event because in 1967 it was the first time any city in America had held a street racing event. During the weekend event you have cars, boat and beautiful girls and great atmosphere
Allez Trois-Riviere (close to montreal formula race (1h))
Good video, accurate subtitles and the delivery is clear and professional
I'd prefer the 'delivery' to be by a human. RUclips is already awash with crappy AI commentaries, everyone sounds like Stephen Hawkins without the brains or charisma.
Subtitles. Come on. Not that hard.
Hi Peter What do you mean? I thought we had uploaded the best ones this week? Sorry for this
@@thelittlemonaco You're doing an excellent sourcing and selecting the visuals. The video clips are great. I just want to know what the people in them are actually saying.
Yes, we did that last week upload CC. You don't have access to the CC, we have them English and French, We might force the English ones then. thanks for the appreciation
All good for me cheers👍🏆
Great footage. Pity about the narration. Is that an AI produced narrative ? Pretty shambolic and soulless delivery. Ruins the overall presentation. Please fix or redo.
Thanks, Yes we are working for the nxt ones
Inexperienced French commentators that’s before Gilles Villeneuve joining Ferrari so French sportscasters got involved and informed on the sport, so unbelievable that a French Canadian could reach the top of motor sports ( biased and proud French Canadian myself ) your disappointment is right on cheers
Great clip ❤
I'm from Toronto and only made it out to Trois Rivers once. Thankfully it was in 1976. It seems like a lifetime time ago now but some things I remember very clearly. I remember the surprise of learning James Hunt was entered. Also Alan Jones , Vittorio Brambilla were entered all three Formula One drivers. Two of which would become world champions. Yes Gilles did win the race but I assure James did not get thrashed. I clearly remember sitting on the edge of my seat almost every lap , almost praying Gilles was still ahead. They both raced hard and clean and Jones was always near by. Gilles knew the course like the back of his hand, taking the pole and the win. But James kept him honest and would make short work of a mistake. They both had a great showing which must be why James told McLaren of their battle, and the rest is history, all a life time ago. After that I became a bigger fan of your dad. Now that you race, you know how hard it is to run lap after lap without a misstep. I also watched your dad a few times at both Mosport and Watkin's Glen. He was one of the greats and is missed by those who seen him run with best in a golden age of F1. Just saying.
Thanks for that story, This is why we are working hard on having more episodes.
Espectacular sempre Gilles
🏆
Can't wait to see this full documentary.
👍🏻
I was there that weekend it was special
Hope you hone your skills with go cart racing too
It was there that I met your dad, Freddy. He was the most lovely man and I know he’d be very proud of you. Thanks so very much for making this excellent and historical doc. It took me back to a very special time.
Thank you very much Anne Louise, this is just the beginning of all the sorry's to be told. We are very glad you like the little special.
Thank@@thelittlemonaco
So Awesome that you are racing. I loved watching your dad race. I know he is watching you and very proud
After this race, the world would soon discover a legend. ''He was magic'', James on Gilles, may 1982.
❤ very entertaining
Excellent job. 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
Thank you! Glad you like it. Working on more stuff on this historical event.
It was James Hunt who brought Gilles to the attention of Enzo Ferrari!
Ero giovane, che anni meravigliosi
Where you involved at that time?
Very nice...but what did Hunt to Villeneuve anyway?!? All he talks is about how people know that story - but it is never revealed what it is - which is a bit pointless...
You need to watch the full documentary film.... this is just an extract.

Thanks, Will have much more in the full documentary film.
