Dio's "heaven" was making sure every single being knows their own fate and from what we see in part 6 its a terrifying concept for me at least it spoils my entire life the good and the bad and not even having the ability to make that choice is a very evil thing. He took his mother's and erina's words and twisted them (clearly based off parts 3,4,5 there is an afterlife and an actual heaven for good people). Does he have a sad past yes it didnt justify all the horrible thing he did to Jonathan in their youth, like he said he realize once meeting him seeing a boy that never had to struggle angered him and his was willing to lose everything just to torment him. While 100% his horrible upbringing turned him into a monster, remember fate in jojos works differently. Dio may of hated his abusive father but he also hated his mother for being caring and giving to others because he thought it was stupid and pointless he was always fated to be an evil person because he was fated to put on that stone mask to become a vampire and beginning the long grueling events that take place in the rest of the story.

@ well to be honest it was his way of life that caused it He was not an ass back in London he only looked at the way of survival because he was the lowest in society he had no money or food he had to fight like a animal to survive while getting beaten up by adults and his father (children of London couldn’t really bully dio because dio is way too strong for them) but in the end he was a mothers boy just a little rude he was always angry and wanted to laugh at his mother because she was way too innocent and pure but he just couldn’t bring himself to do it

Dio was bad be cause he wanted to steal JoJos fortune, Diego on the other hand was just a rival that wanted to win

Good point, I think he mainly lost because he was very arrogant since he had the world stand he thought he couldn’t be defeated and was outsmarted because of that

The reason why I think is the anime cut his backstory, so he has less screen time and occupies a smaller role

Diego isn’t a side villain, he’s a direct rival to Johhny while Valentine is the main villain. So Diego is in a sense more so considered a villain than Rissoto

Risotto is 100% a side villain bro was barely mentioned Cioccolata & Secco had more screen time then him and they were the best of the side villain in part 5. Just a very heavy side plot Diavolo was really the only main villain in part 5 since he was pretty much was always pulling the strings even with the mercenary group.

@@demontiming3234 not being the main villain makes you a side villain lol. Also being a side villain isnt a bad thing, sometimes the side villain is better than the main and in diegos case thats true.

@@frogz8317 ehhh idk about that one bro. We all have our opinions tho I guess. Diego’s known as the “secondary antagonist” for a reason. He’s different than just being a side villain. Stories have his type of character sometimes. An antagonist is meant to oppose the main character in some facet, some stories have multiple people who oppose different aspects of the protagonist. This is the case with Diego and Valentine

What!? Cowboy with a- a gun?!? This screams "hasnt read manga" and is only going out for his abilities. Especially considering youre talking about alternate diego and not the main one we follow throughout the whole part.

speaking of time and guns fucking loved Mandom all part 7 are just shoot outs and that one was by far the best

Also alternate Diego with the world is much more cocky and egotistical, closer to the part 3 dio hence why he died to Lucy.

Main world Diego never awakened his actual Stand The World through the Devil's Palm, so he was able to gain control of Dr. Ferdinand's Scary Monsters through the corpse's eye granting a miracle. Alternate Universe Diego had his actual Stand The World, so he had no need to gain another one.

Jodhpurs (type of horse riding pants) used to just look like that. It's very funny.

I think Diego with the world wouldve been a bit broken, I think with the world he woudlve beaten valentine 100% with how great he utilized a dinosaur ability, he would’ve been able to use the world and stop time even better than the original dio

TLDR: let the broken stuff be at the end of the part so we can let the new stuff shine like imagine if Wonder of U showed up in the beginning or if Weather Report knew the capability of his stand. Doesnt change that fact that its 10x cooler. Sorry after seeing the 10th time manipulating stand, an ability that is a viral sickness that turns you into a dinosaur is the coolest thing ever. The sounds creatures we got when combine with Sandman's stand. Turning any organic matter no matter how small into dinosaur. And to randomly turn your horse into a freaking utaraptor to avoid guns shots. While Dio's time stop is a terrifying ability, we get to see how much of a counter Tusk is to it and its why its fun they switch his stand. Scary Monsters tho will always be the highlight of SBR and literally the first stand that starts all of the peak we see. I would of hated if he had the world the entire time for the sheer fact its why I hate part 4. Dont get me wrong I like Kira but Jotaro completely out shined Josuke and him using time stop every single moment he can felt too broken like there were zero stakes. Why they practically nerf him by being completely clueless in the finale chapters so we can have a Kira v Josuke. Meanwhile part 6 fixes that by almost killing him in the beginning and we get to see Jolyne shine throughout the entire part. To me that form hasnt stopped Ive always said each part get better and better. Personally 8 is my favorite and the list goes down in order why Im hype to see where 9 goes.

@@frogz8317 3 is the best besides yes Araki puts great show but true prises goes to David production and Araki was never really great at writting itself Thats not what Jojo is about Jojo is like those old action animes that are relaxing but full of rule of motherf@#$%! Cool

@ Jotaro's got such a boring power man. It's just punchy + precision + time stop eventually. Koichi got some SICK ass powers for sure, but I dislike it simply because of the act system. Imo I dislike all stands that evolve like that. Echoes more than tusk, because Echoes doesn't even retain it's previous abilities upon "leveling up"! Joseph's cool, I'll give you that. Love how simple his hermit purple is, yet how utilized it is. I will say, joseph in part 2 had a boring powerset, but he's probably my favorite character personality wise! Dio is so massively overrated imo. It's just a slightly better version of jotaro. It was sick many years ago when I first got into jojo, but SOOOO many other cooler abilities have entered the series since then. Johnny is the same as Koichi. Really cool ideas, but unfortunately it's split up in acts.

Dororo (the manga) was the original, and JoJo is what was referencing it.
