If you have to remove the CV10 check valve to clean it, why not just replace the dirty check valve with a new one. Same work required. Replacements are about $7.00 on line. I keep two extras on hand to replace them when the get clogged up. Trying to clean a dirty check valve is no guarantee it will work like new again. A new check valve will give you a TEN SECOND drain time for the tank. Any drain time over 20 seconds is too long and means the check valve needs cleaned or replaced. Also, dirty check valves can make funny noises to. A cleaned or new check valve will make the funny noise go away. The factory told me to never use bleach to clean out your tank components. Bleach will destroy the pump and motor components. Good luck!

does that ball have to stay in there? i use it to pump out the water that drains from my table that i have plants on so when the plants begin to have run off sometimes soil will collect in the outlet of the table that goes into the condensate pump and it keeps clogging. what do you recommend i do?

Do those flanges on that check valve rotate at all? Meaning could I have one side pointed on way and the other perpendicular? I'm trying to change the orientation of a circulator pump without having to cut things apart. Second question, could the check valve portion be removed to make it full flow with no check?

Where’s the capacitor for the fan motor?

I live in Ypsilanti. Our condo unit have Magic Paks. I notice most new replacement hwc unit are National Comfort Units. Most AC Techs highly recommend these as replacement. They say it's better built. I'm a DIYer and can do certain thing on these units. Minor stuff. But replacing a blow motor without access to the set screw is still a major problem. An oblong hole in the back of the housing would help. A rubber snap in piece to cover the hole also would be helpful

Too bad they changed the check valve on the VCMX-20ULST so it's a solid molded piece now

Can you please explain how you reinstalled the indoor motor blower plate? It’s jutting out preventing the chassis from going back in. You mentioned it at the very end, but it would help to see it be explained, thanks!

check valve broke, maybe a thread and a half from top. I can screw it in without rubber gasket, with gasket can't get one thread to catch. is there an adapter for broken check valve. was thinking on super glue. Thank You
