    If the car cigarette lighter cable that came with your power station has an orange end then it's xt160i...and the unit has an orange receptacle then you need an orange XT160i solar cable to connect the solar panel. The yellow end cable is an xt160...

    I have few sily questions. I have Ecoflow Delta 2 1. How much power will I get from a 650W, 20V panel with an xt60i connector under ideal conditions? 2. Same with the XT60 connector. 3. How much energy can I get from ten of these panels wired in parallel at half solar power? Thank You

    • @007alztruli
      @007alztruli Месяц назад

      I have seen your comment in the Comments for several videos now. The maximum voltage, amps and watts the Delta 2 can take from solar panels is 60V, 15A & 500W respectively. Under ideal conditions your solar pane might produce 570 - 600W which is already too high for the Delta 2, so I'm not sure why you want to connect 10 of them together. I'm not an expert in these things but I think if the voltage of your solar panel is 20V, the current will be about 32A which is too high for the Delta 2. I understand if the current coming from the solar panels is a little higher than 15A, the Delta 2 will limit the current it is receiving to 15A but I don't know if over 30A might not be too high for it to do that.

    I'm a newbie - looking at the ecoflow delta 2. Ecoflow panels are v expensive. Renology seem to have a good reputation and are cheaper. I'd wondered at getting 2 of the 200 w. When I asked Ecoflow about compatibility they said in a very poor response to a potential customer "we wouldn't recommend it, get one of ours". Bit no basis offered for WHY - so the conclusion is simply profits. OTOH I don't want to buy these and find they aren't compatible. I get that I need some adapter cables. But you are using a similar set up - can you offer guidance?

    • @AndrewsAction
      @AndrewsAction 7 месяцев назад

      Hi Binra3788, I tested this out myself because of all the conflict on facebook groups. These Renogy panels work the same as the Ecoflow panels but the portable Renogy panels that I bought are built with metal and are a little more bulky and heavy then the foldable Ecoflow panels. At the end of the day i would prefer to have the Ecoflow panels with the xt60i cable as recommended for the delta 2 but I was able to buy the Renogys on sale. I didn't want to pass up the deal. Saving around 400-500$ goes a long way with these builds. So conclusion if you want to save money and get the same power output buy the Renogy panels, if you want to have an easier time with set up and less bulk/weight buy the Ecoflow panels.

    • @binra3788
      @binra3788 7 месяцев назад

      @@AndrewsAction Thankyou. Initially I was thinking a first step in home backup rather than a mobile solution - so fixed panels on my shed and maybe even keep the Delta2 in the shed. (I haven't had any power outs where I live of consequence but so much converges to indicate a need for resilience in uncertain times). My primary concern is of damage arising from incompatibility outside my expertise - or simply incompatible in terms of not working (adequately). I have a camper (in a long process of getting a recon engine) so if that comes through ok, the mobile thing might be worth its own panel. On the net is seems there are always contrary views and lots of 'click-me content that varies hugely in quality. But as I read you, the issue is price, convenience & mobile practicality rather than 'danger' to equipment. I think if I get the 2 x 200 to connect in parallel as safer in terms of voltage. I did learn a bit of electrical theory back in the day, but without practice it didn't integrate to confidence!

      @@andrewmiller4035 Yea Im not really sure why some people get so quick to say the xt60 cables wont work as good. On the deltas, a XT60 conector will get recognized as car charger and so limit the input amps to 8 amps on 12v or 24v (some big rigs use 24v batteries). So, if you pannel cannot put out more than 8A,the xt60i will make no difference. What is the third pin on the xt60i? It is tied to negative (I think via a resistor), this simply server the purpose of telling the unit it can pull more than 8A. Again, this will only make sense if your panels can put more than 8A out, for instance repeat this test with panels in parallel (double amps by keeping the voltage) and see how you are capped at 8A with XT60 and capped at the unit input rating (I guess it is 15 in the delta 2 and bigger on the delta pro).
