It seems to show for sure that they finally got rid of a few of the more well-known unused items/badges from the GameCube release, like the Koopa Curse, Trade Off, all the Mega-rank badge moves, and of course, the badge-that-is-not-really-a-debug-badge-but-a-successor-to-the-equally-unused-Right-On!-badge-from-Paper-Mario-64 "Debug" badge. Still a shame some of the other unused badges didn't get refined and added as new rewards for optional quests, like the way Mario RPG had new equipment earned in the postgame.

I wonder what happens if you have the bowser powerups but say are in the rogueport square, so you go to the east side of Rogueport, would it crash or keep the items or cancel them

3:27 not trying to be mean but if you use a randomizer mod the debug badge is something you can get so in the ttyd GameCube the debug badge icon is a gif of the a button being clicked it power bounces 9999 times if you use the power bounce auto superguards and I forgot what else but there you go just some background knowledge on the thousand year door but this is for GameCube idk about the switch remake

The fact that a lot of these story items like the crystal stars, the gear upgrades, and the curses have fully functions item pick-ups makes me very hopeful for a randomizer for this game someday. It removes a lot of the leg work in having to create new things.

The functionality of Triple Dip is actually in the game, and "accessible" through normal gameplay; you have to equip two Double Dips for it. Same applies for equipping two Double Dip P badges.

Those key items are good for a randomizer

Yo great vid and i look forward to this mod, but i had a question i wanted to look into modding this game with a plan for a randomizer unless someone has beat me to it, but my question is where to start, the problem for me is that google or brave doesnt help and gives me a switch modding tutorial lol

I think the reason Hammer and Boot upgrades cannot revert may have something to do with developers not allowing story progress to revert.

The star at 7:58 is... very strange because it IS an item you normally get actually. You get it from the chest after beating Gloomtail and use it in the palace tower. Weird how this... extra variant of it exists. I guess the pedestal spawns this one and you're normally not meant to pick it up or something? that's really weird.

Aw, I was hoping to see what happens if you use the Red Whacka Bump and the audience projectiles in battle since they seemed to be battle exclusive items from the menu. I take it they also just don't show up at all?
