Hiking Waterfalls, Pyramids, and Fixing My Van - Clearwater BC Vanlife
This video is a continuation of my ultimate summer adventure vanlife road trip, and it takes place in Clearwater, British Columbia, Canada. I was in clearwater to meet a couple friends, and to camp, do tourist stuff, and go paddling with them, but also I had to fix my van. If you watched my last episode, you know that I discovered that I had a rear shock that was just dangling from the upper mount, and that there was no stores in Blue River where I was. Clearwater was the closest real town, and I had to meet my friends there anyways, so it worked out well. I went to Auto Parts Plus/Aspen Auto Parts and got a replacement lower shock bolt for $7.20. It went in pretty easily with the help of...

This video is a continuation of my ultimate summer vanlife trip, and it focuses on my stay in the small town of Blue River, British Columbia. I got off a 4 day canoe trip at murtle lake the day before, and I went to Blue River to catch my breath and live the vanlife. Murtle Lake videos can be seen here: Part 1 - ruclips.net/video/DREHjjjsKig/видео.htmlsi=8BubQNNkJUxlNbxo Part 2 - ruclips.net/vi...
Things Go South On The North Arm Of Murtle Lake - Solo Canoeing

This episode is a continuation of my solo canoe trip on murtle lake. Murtle Lake is in Wells Gray Provincial Park, and it's the largest paddle only access lake in North America. Maybe even the world. In episode one, which can be seen here: ruclips.net/video/DREHjjjsKig/видео.htmlsi=gRpCB-w1tJ4ySiOV I paddled on the west arm of murtle lake for 2 days, and it was absolutely stunning. I had perfec...
Canoeing On North America's Largest Paddle Only Lake - Murtle Lake
Просмотров 510Месяц назад
In this episode, I take my big summer vanlife roadtrip to Murtle Lake to go canoeing. Murtle Lake is in Wells Gray Provincial Park, and it's the biggest paddle only lake in North America. It's also a big time bucket list canoe trip for BC paddlers, one that I have always wanted today. It all starts with a 2.5 kilometer paddle to the lake, well lagoon, which you then paddle on to get to the lake...
Riding Train Trestles And Lakeside Vanlife - Finally Getting Somewhere
Просмотров 333Месяц назад
Welcome to episode two of my ultimate summer vanlife road trip. After a bit of a slow start, I'm finally starting to get somewhere. Starting this episode I ride my bike on the famous train trestles of Myra Canyon. These old wooden trestles were originally part of the historic Kettle Valley Railway, and now they are a recreational hot spot in Kelowna BC. I talk about some of the history, includi...

This episode is the first video of my two month adventure vanlife vacation, and I wanted to start it by giving back to everyone who has supported me on this channel. So I'm giving away a Firemaple Orange Lantern. This is not a sponsor, I just liked the product and bought one for myself. I actually bought an extra one to get free shipping, so I'm giving that one away. All you need to do is comme...
Everything I Packed For A 6 Day Canoe Trip - Bowron Lakes
Просмотров 381Месяц назад
In this video, I talk about literally everything I packed for a 6 day 116 kilometer canoe trip. I recently solo canoed the Bowron Lake chain, here in BC. This is a pretty famous canoe circuit here, and it's an 116 kilometer canoe circuit with portages. I have at least a few videos on my channel about that experience, definitely check them out. This video is what I took specifically for the Bowr...
Finishing BC's Best Canoe Trip In A Heat Wave - Bowron Lakes Part 2
Просмотров 8702 месяца назад
This episode is a continuation of my 5 day canoe trip that I started last week. This one picks up where I left off at McLeary Lake, where I had previously left my stove behind. Lucky for me, the group that I met as we all rand the Chute had found it, and brought it down the last part of the Isaac River and over the portage to me. With that luck out of the way, I regrouped over a Peak Refuel bre...
116 Kilometer Solo Canoeing In BC's Paddling Paradise - The Bowron Lakes
Просмотров 3,6 тыс.2 месяца назад
In this episode, I start my journey on the Bowron Lakes. This 116 kilometer canoe circuit, is located in the Caribou mountains of British Columbia. This circuit is world famous. It's incredibly beautiful, remote, but still accessible , and the chain of lakes makes a perfect trapezoid(or something), almost like it was designed as a destination for canoeing and kayaking. I do have a video of my t...

Great first live stream! Glad you had a great trip. You should do more live streams. Keep truckn. 👊
LOL I need to cut my lawn, it looks pretty close to this bad hahaha
I went to Saskatchewan once with my brother to try and talk him out of buying a 10 grand house, I was actually quite disappointed that it wasn't flatter, it was down near the big muddy badlands, so lots of rolling hills but all small towns with small populations and lots boarded up abandoned farms, we also swung through the town corner gas was filmed at, that was kind of neat
Keep it up! Get a job walking dogs and live stream that!
Pps.. this bro... made my day.
Yes 🎉 thanks for the shout-out, buddy! Awesome answers. Keep up with healthy choices and live hard ,play hard, laugh harder & sleep easy and repeat ! I'm looking forward to your next live gig. And random shooting 🎥 🎞 📺 🚙💨
Thanks man. I think it was one of the best questions I got asked, and you're probably my most active follower, so I had to mention you!
@SARGEinc I appreciate it, and I appreciate you, buddy! And thank you.💯💪🏽☕️
Probably what I said French river. Also look into Algonquin park and Killarney provincial park.
I will definitely look up the French river. Algonquin and Kilarney are definitely on my list already. I want to canoe in Ontario, I feel like it's the canoeing capital of Canada
overslept! I missed you live. You're doing great live.
enjoyed following you on your trips
You had me at weed. 😂😂😂
Trim the bush , So your trunk looks bigger . . . Just gotta keep going.
I definitely gotta keep it short then😂
LOL I feel you on this one
It's a jungle. Can you do my yard next.
No. I'm still catching up on stuff here. And even worse, my parents are coming to stay here for 4 days and plunge our lives into chaos...
It is better to eat what eat plants. Until we grow four stomachs I'm stickin with meat...keep on enjoying the trip,
Crazy waterfall, I don't know if I've ever seen one you could go behind like that, certainly not that big.
LOL rock on!
TAKE THAT Revelstoke!!
Do it at a husky. You'll never have a problem.
COMEDY
😂
She was singing an old Loverboy tune... Mike Reno AKA Mike Renowski of Loverboy is from Penticton, BC. Just a little fun fact...lol
The band was called "The EH! Team" and they did a bunch of covers of old canadian classic rock songs. Maybe just classic canadian songs, I remember them doing Shania Twain and Alanis Morissette songs too. It was a good vibe, I definitely love hearing some of those old canadian classics.
Awesome video as usual! That jingling noise while walking was low-key driving me nuts tho lol 😂
That's my bear bell! Hopefully if it annoys you it annoys the bears!
"right tool for the job" lol as you hammer away at the bolt with a spud wrench. Im all for it, I think pretty much everything makes a good hammer
Hammers are used for nails, you gotta use wrenches on bolts😂
@@SARGEinc ah yes, now you are speaking some kinda sense, haha
Great scenery and great video
Thanks again John!
Fucking Canada! Why does it have to be so beautiful?
Very cool! I've been up the #97 to Williams Lake and the #5 to Kamloops, but not further than that. Looks like it was indeed an awesome adventure!
You should definitely check out Wells Gray one day. It's definitely worth going up and down the clearwater lake road and seeing all the waterfalls on the way.
RV stands for Recreational Vehicle, considering how vague that term is you have a better argument than most to stay there, but technically any vehicle fits that bill.
I am definitely using my van to recreate! It even has an RV fan, so I Don know what I was worried about!
Don’t Go Chasing Waterfalls. Or do. That’s cool too.
Never take life advise from 90's songs, that's how I like to live my life😂
I couldn't help but slap on some Creedence Clearwater when I went through that place. that's also pretty cool how you can get the almost drone style shots with the 360!
The insta 360 is awesome. I barely know how to use it at it's still awesome😂
These showers look straight out of a prison - which is another way to get a free shower.
😂😂😂 Beggers can't be choosers, but these aren't even as bad as some of the showers I've used on this trip.
Is there even a rule about only campers being allowed to use the facilities? The showers I've come across in the US charge you a few quarters to use.
I don't actually know, there are no signs, but I feel like it was implied. Maybe there were rules posted at the entrance, but that's the beauty of the side door entrance😂. The showers were free, but I've definitely come across some coin operated showers at other campsites/parks. I have no problem paying for a shower if I need to, but it's nice to take advantage of a good deal when you can!
Brilliant!! 👏 😂
SARGE Probably paid CANADA 🇨🇦 $ 750,000.00 in LIFETIME taxes I think you can have 1 shower It's OK .
😂😂😂 100% I also bought my national parks pass and probably spent $500 on camping in national parks on this trip. They aren't sweating that shower, lol.
This what not to do. Gives a bad name to van dwellers
I think it's wild to stereotype a group of people because of a comedic video that a random guy posted on the internet. If you think it makes me look bad, sure, but I could of done this same thing in any vehicle. Even a Jeep! Ain't nobody getting hurt over a free shower.
This something a JEEP lover would say. As a Toyota guy myself, I say it’s ok to use the camp site government funded bathroom. You are a Canadian citizen, and they take every cent front you that they can..
It's not that deep bro. I've done this a few times (not a van dweller, just had no access to shower while camping). If you're respectful and clean then who cares?
You’re gay
@@ksimpp It's a true victimless crime!
Just about to do mine and def not looking fwd to it. I'm going w/ the OEM GM mounts for the RWD even though I have the Safari AWD. Will be adding 3/16" spacers too.
Good luck!
This video wasn't glamorous but it was shocking. 😁😁😀😄🔩
Lol. Was it shocking, or was it not shocking at all?
One of my favourite places too! Hope to head back and paddle there ;)
Nice little town !
Cemetery for sure lol. That's the most peaceful spot to sleep!
All the other campers should be quiet at least...
I'd have stayed where you did too, by the tracks too noisy and the cemetery would seem kind of lack of respect to me I dunno
I'd definitely feel pretty awkward if someone showed up early in the morning to visit their grandma, and I was just chilling in my van watching Instagram videos...
@@SARGEinc lol ya for sure
Ahh, yes blue river. I really enjoyed my stay there. There is in fact a grocery store there but locals refer to it as the food museum as things have been on the shelf so long. There’s a pretty solid campground there, too. It was only $20 a night for the basic setup and wow, what a view!
Dang I had no idea. The convince store I bought my bags of chips was pretty shitty too, so I have to believe that the grocery store had to be better. I thought it was crazy because there were some balling looking houses on the lake, I think they belong to the helicopter place there. I think they do some pretty balling heli skiing out of there. They definitely seemed out of place, but interesting non the less.
@@SARGEinc its a super popular place for hunters and skiing, there's also a fancy seasonal lodge right on the river. You'd never know this just driving by!
I love all your videos. I’ll even just listen while driving. I did the Bowron with a couple of my boys like a month after you.
That's awesome, I hope you had a good trip!
Nice spot and interesting video
Thanks John!
Good to know that you had a good paddle the lake has a mind of its own we will go again for our third time hopefully for a week so we can complete the North arm 😊😊
Good luck! Does that mean on the other 2 times you weren't able yo complete the north arm?
Pretty spectacular adventure for sure! Indeed, with that sound, one really wouldn't think those were actually loons. Sure are long days of paddling, but one gets in a rhythm and it really is enjoyable. Pretty epic location!!
Thanks. I definitely don't know my birds that well, so they might not be loons. I'm pretty sure they weren't ducks, so loons was my best guess😂
Wow, the north arm is epic, I think you've convince me I'm gonna have to do this next year. Loons are awesome, their call they make is really cool, nice trip, it's alright you didn't get all the way up gives you good reason to do it again, cheers
Agreed, it's nice to have a reason to go back. I'd like to go back when those 3 campsites were actually open. It would make things easier for sure. Also would be nice to try one or two of the hikes out there one day too.
