What is the world without the ethereal power of music?
Mario power-up sound but you got it on sale from Temu
You should take this as a lesson not to cheap out and buy things from Temu because now you're stuck with a copy of "Crackhead Mike Pals Drag Racing 3eπ" and you can't return it. Anyway, who else saw the casual Mario Kart 9 leak in the Nintendo Switch 2 trailer?
This is the last piece of the "9 Terrible Pieces for Piano" saga. We did it. It's finally over. I'm so glad that I won't have to willingly listen to these pieces again. I can now finally start posting music that I genuinely care about. Although, I actually kind of liked this one simply because it took the shortest amount of time to edit.

This isn't one of those clickbait titles. What you read is exactly what you get. This is the eighth terrible piece from the "9 Terrible Pieces for Piano" set which means that I'm only one piece away from posting music that isn't straight-up garbage-an urge that has only become stronger.

This is the only relatively normal-sounding piece of music from the "9 Terrible Pieces for Piano." It is pretty straightforward, but I don't find it to be particularly exciting; however, it provides some nice contrast from the chaos that surrounds it which makes it stand out in interesting way.
A five-voice mess - 9 Terrible Pieces for Piano

If you were expecting some genuinely good part writing, you will be heavily disappointed. The voices converge and meld to create a lackluster, macabre soundscape that will likely be forgotten. This is the sixth terribly written piece for piano.

This is the pinnacle of the "9 Terrible Pieces for Piano" saga. What you get in this piece is terrible, unlike anything you've heard before. Looks like "Mozart" got a little kooky at ye old schenken with the Schwechater bier again and got a rush of inspiration to compose his highly anticipated "Piano Sonata No.19." If you're wondering where the other movements are, he forgot to compose them because he was too drunk and tired to compose them; the first movement was all he could bear to write. Gorechíèr - Serenade for Oboe and Piano
I’m really liking for the complete 9 terrible pieces collection!
That last chord was spice but it fit so well
@Roundly_Cloud Every piece needs a spicy chord ;---)
was recommended this video, am definitely cursed, my algorithm was right to bring me here though- think you just summarised my brain in musical form lol
This sounds like if you developed my improv whistling/singing I do at various random parts of the day hahaha, it's actually kinda nice
@@lpamnz You must get into some very involved improv because I definitely do too!
@@GorechierComposer noo it's very random and that kinda improv for me never really goes anywhere, it's just a way to get out some of the music that's in me every waking moment. This piece sounds like if you made that random improv go somewhere
@ Well I basically improvised on ‘paper’ so that would definitely explain it.
This could fit in a lot of different situations, either harmoniously or for a bit of a jarring, contrasting effect. I like it a lot actually.

Someone forgot to tune their oboe with the piano I think... Otherwise very nice composition, the structure seems pretty solid and we can really feel the emotion you want to transmit. Tritones from the starts to finish is crazy work
@@LionelFerrerLuis-jp9ly They’re the most consonant interval in western music theory. What do you mean?
Bro used up all 12 notes of the piano
@@LionelFerrerLuis-jp9ly I actually used 14 notes. There were a few Z’s and R’s in there-don’t know if you could hear them.
I know that you technically didn't put any effort into this composition, but I still love how you displaced the rhythm between the two clefs in the abrupt, forte section. I'm not fawning or anything, but the rhythmic displacement between the two chords does make them sound like echoing bells. There is also some traces of counterpoint in your piano sections, even though the melody itself is much more scattered and grows less tonal as the piece progresses. I wouldn't call this a "terrible" piece; it's more like sketches of compositional techniques.
@@Stable_CsF I thought the same about the forte section. It’s a really interesting harmony as well. I’ll definitely be using that more consciously in another piece.
in the beginning, usage of the 5-1 relationship in the right hand and diatonic notes asserts the Ab major tonality very well. Later in the piece your 2nd species-esque counterpoint doesn't sound harsh because most of your melodic motion is stepwise which usually guarantees that a consonance exists somewhere within every beat, and even where there isn't, it sounds like incomplete neighbors or passing tones. The sense of independent voices is also assisted by your usage of contrary and oblique motion and rarely incorporating parallel intervals. Lastly the contrasting dynamic and repeated chords in the coda makes the piece climax and more memorable.
@@Jwellsuhhuh Wow, I didn’t even think this piece was worth analyzing. This probably describes my disengaged thought process pretty well though. I’m starting to realize even when their is a conscious ‘lack of expression’ when composing, their is still ultimately something being expressed because it inevitably engages the subconscious-music will forever be full of mystery.

WOW!!! I've first seen this channel from the Wacky pieces list, and this is 1st serious composition from you I've sat down and listened to. I am still stunned by the sheer beauty of this piece! One thing which I'm curious about, will it sound good on a French Horn too ? like I can see that some notes might look too high, but if I remember correctly, Ravel's G Maj. Concerto also has a Horn melody that high. What do you think ?
@@thewaltzingpiano It could possibly work on the french horn, but you would need a professional player to execute it properly because the melody consistently sits in the high register of the french horn and demands a certain sensitivity that would require a lot of finesse to achieve without damaging the overall character, let alone the intonation difficulties that would arise. The trumpet would be a better, and less strenuous, fit overall.
