this is me testing multi-track streams in nsmbu, i used nsmb2 streams because it has 3 tracks just like most nsmbu bgms (main track, yoshi bongos and baby yoshi) sneak peak of a tool i have been cooking, right now it can only play sounds but i plan to add editing soon

This video was unlisted for quite some time so decided to make it public so I was making this custom boss, I had some moves planned for it but i probably never finish it cuz 1: i lost the code for it (though it wasn't much so if i really want to i can easily do it again) 2: those attacks I planned wouldn't work if u needed to make it fall of the stage so... btw this was a bit old so some stuff ...

possibly a debug scene for faster testing ye i just made that, learned how to get controller input and made it load a level, i just made it render the boot layout cuz i was trying to edit the text in the code but i didnt figured out yet

in nsmbu there is only 4 colors. nybble 12 of yoshi index a string list which are the loadable colors. but the problem is that this is the string list - [Yoshi_TexGreen, Yoshi_TexGreen, Yoshi_TexGreen, Yoshi_TexGreen] so that means that independent of the value in nybble 12 it will only load Yoshi_TexGreen, so what i did was edit this string list to - [Yoshi_TexGreen, Yoshi_TexLightBlue, Yoshi_...

Warning: kinda dumb well ye... i added a delay nybble to thwomp if the "automatically fall" nybble is enabled but it only falls one time so i added a delay to it fall automatically

Make the pitch of the pitch of the sound effect match the chords of the song. It's why beep block skyway feels integrated so naturally. Also the volume balance of music and sound effects needs to be adjusted.
unfortunately it wouldn't be as easy because it would need another type of synchronization all together
@@stupidmodder Can't you make differently pitched sound effects for each part of the song and then cycle between them?

@@stupidmodder is there no way to access the current place/sample the music player is in on the sound effect playing code? Which language is used for modding this game?
@@photonic083yes there is, tho don't think there's a centralized function for playing sfx, so it would take lots of time to patch everywhere it needs to. And the game is programmed in c++ so that's what we use

hey i know this is a very old video but can you tell me how to actually get the tilesets? because ive had a very hard time trying to figure out how to work koopuzzle and koopatlas because the newer teams tutorial is no help at all
