Altair Belts/Ali Anas HD Winged Eagle Review
My boy Bishop told me to check your channel out. Beautiful belts
Always liked the idea of the big green belt. I wonder if one day WWE can somehow reimplement it into the WWE Championship.
Awesome job... because I'm want to get into belt collecting i need as much knowledge as I can possibly get. Thank you
Great video. Thanks for the shoutout. The names were engraved on the plates from the start btw. You can see them slightly as Bob Backlund points it out. ruclips.net/video/eQGAnF2YUbA/видео.htmlsi=WLkWVcFJfen91HcI
@BigGreenKing5582 You're right. I had only seen that clip once. I can see the engravings. Thanks again for your help on this one!
Thanks for that deep dive. If I order a Winged Eagle, gonna refer to this vid. You should consider being a belt consultant.
Supposedly Hogan brother in law has the original belt! Supposedly
Thank you for the research done on the Big Green! I own a replica of it. Mine has all the champions except Stasiak which is not how the belt was when it was retired. My replica also doesn't have red and green gems. Now I can work on replacing the gems. You're right, there were 2 blank sides. Sheik and Hogan were not on any side plates.
EDIT: I somehow failed to mention that the side plates are supposed to include the names AND the dates. Here are the dates for each title reign that are supposed to be on the side plates: [ ] Nature Boy Buddy Rogers April 1963 - May 17 1963 [ ] Bruno Sammartino May 17 1963 - January 18 1971 [ ] Ivan Koloff January 18 1971- February 8 1971 [ ] Pedro Morales February 8 1971- December 1 1973 [ ] Stan Stasiak December 1 1973 -December 10 1973 [ ] Bruno Sammartino December 10 1973 - April 30 1977 [ ] Superstar Billy Graham April 30 1977 - February 20 1978 [ ] Bob Backlund February 20 1978
When Big Green debuted all the side plates were blank 😂
@TheJonOrtiz Yeah, I noticed that too when it debuted on Roger's corner. It wasn't that way by the end of it. You can see Hogan with it at 2:04 and they have been filled in.
That’s not correct. When it debuted it did have the names on the side plates as Backlund says in this video. Hard to see but they are engraved on it. ruclips.net/video/eQGAnF2YUbA/видео.htmlsi=WLkWVcFJfen91HcI
Shout out to Vinny Carkido…The Big Green King!!!
YES!!!! The Big Green!!! One of my favorite belts. Mr. Cynical you’re on point my friend!!! Thank you.
You make good points but how can you say you are unbiased. I saw your channel and you have ordered several belts from arosha. Im sure those belts have many inaccuracies too. If the price point is to high for you just don't buy it. Simple.
@@Tupacisking306 I ordered those two belts from Arosha after making this video. I didn't own any Arosha belts at the time of filming this. It's unbiased because I used the book "Big Gold" as my reference. I simply used the photos within the book to point out what is inaccurate about either of the two belts. The only opinion I gave was that I wouldn't spend $4000 on the C4 because I didn't think it was worth that much for all the inaccuracies it has. The rest of what I said was purely factual, again going off of the book.
Awesome video man, thanks for all that research.
why is the belt barely in frame the entire time you are talking lol?
fantastic looking belt btw. I ordered one a month ago from a maker and am waiting on it now. This exact one.
Another great video! Your ic is awesome too!
Awesome video 😎
I'll still take the Shoprine for $300. It's the best overall big gold you can buy for an affordable price.
I forgot how good this belt look.
Should I give these new snap specs to Ali/Altair? Along with pictures/examples the leather cut being a little too tight? Or are you and the community going to?
@@BishopM1 feel free to share these specs with him. I share my videos on belt pages. Makers see the link and choose to watch it or not.
@@Mr.Cynical92thanks for pointing these details out man.
@@Mr.Cynical92do we know how many different winged eagles were used in total? And the WM14 one with 2x9 and 2x6 straps is for sure the same one that debuted on October 6th ‘97 RAW-Montreal?
@BishopM1 Last question first, yes according to HazardF5 and based on photos, the last version debuted on RAW on October 6th, 1997 in Kansas City. I have no clue how many Winged Eagles in total, my best guess is 14 different belts. There's also apparently a yellow version that never made it to TV because they made Warrior drop the belt before they could use it. Winged Eagle variants: Wrestlemania 14 Wrestlemania 12/13 Chipped Eagle Baby blue White V1 White V2 Lavender Black Warrior V2 Black warrior V2 Survivor Series 91 Wrestlemania 6 version Wrestlemania 5 version Macho man velcro version Wrestlemania 4
@@Mr.Cynical92 thanks. I’ve been looking for his history of WWF championship belts and other hours long videos. Were they deleted?
Eddie’s the first person to come to mind when I see this belt. I have his WWE Shop one. Favorite wrestler of all time. RIP
Nice looking IC. Also... You gave alot of history to the belt
An all time CLASSIC!! R.I.P. Reggie Parks
Do a Brahma Bull belt video next lol. @BishopM1 sent me over. Great vid
Mr. Cynical. Longtime subscriber. I just was wondering if you could tell me what the maybe 3 best belt makers are, strictly from a belt quality standpoint. And where does Pinfall and Ali rank in there? Please. Because I’m about to make a $1350 purchase and I wanted your opinion before I buy.
@BishopM1 The three best in terms of quality to me are in order: 1. ORM, best leather in Pakistan 2. Classic Shields 3rd is a three way tie from Arosha, Nawaz and Pinfall. The upgraded leather on my two Arosha belts are as good as Ali Anas. I do have a belt on order from Pinfall, but from everything I've seen, it looks like very good stuff. I've never owned a Nawaz belt, but I liked what I've seen. I'd avoid the hassle with Altair. Ali Anas makes good stuff, but you'll be pulling your hair out trying to get him to ship your belt.
@@Mr.Cynical92thank you so much man. Not trying to bother you, I just love your vids and trust your judgment. The gap between Ali Amas’s quality and the others you named isn’t light years apart is it? I’m about to purchase the belt in this video because I absolutely love it. My holy grail. Just wanna make sure the overall quality of the belt is comparable to the top dogs in the industry. I think the belt in this vid is a 9/10. I haven’t seen any at all that are just extraordinarily better. Sorry if I’m complicating things, I’ve just never paid anything over WWE Shop prices and when I do I want to make sure I’m making the right purchases, strictly based on overall belt quality. Unless you can video link to me a better Screwjob cut Winged Eagle to purchase? Hope I’m not bothering you man.
@BishopM1 No, not exactly lightyears apart. He makes nice belts when he wants to. When he's focused on making an awesome belt, he can deliver one. I'm completely happy with my WCW 91-94. This Winged Eagle is a little bit underwhelming to me. My ORM one blows it out of the water. Especially since mine from Ali came in looking the way it did. I had to polish it with a gold polishing cloth and sprayway glass cleaner to get it how it looks in the video. Ali offered to send me a new belt. I declined because we were getting close to that fan fest and I didn't want to hope the replacement belt came in on time. I'm done ordering from him, he can go be inconsistent to someone else. I hope your experience goes better than mine and my friend's did on the other Ali Anas Winged Eagle on my channel.
@@Mr.Cynical92thanks so much man. I really appreciate your advice. I’m sharing your channel with all my belt collector buddies. Your channel should have way more subscribers. Keep up the good work. One last question lol. Any major key differences between your ORM and Ali’s belts? Other than the buffer marks and having to shine it up?? And of course his customer service. And I don’t want the duel plated at all, I exclusively want what you appropriately dubbed the Screwjob cut lol.
@BishopM1 The current ORM leather is miles ahead of anything I've seen from Ali. Also his middle man, Vince, is pretty cool. The quality is better in my opinion. All those really deep swirls, aren't on my ORM belt. They are a lot less noticeable under the light. Thank you for sharing the channel. I'm hoping to cross that 1000 subscriber threshold this year.
Classic Shields Premium is the way to go.
@@foxhound9781 Classic Shields and Arosha Crumrines are comparable to one another. It just comes down to how much you want to spend and how long you want to wait for your belt.
Beautiful
Cool
"YEAH!!!"
@@sheeeeesh3628 These plates got me feeling like a Megastar. 🤣
Awesome ❤
You forgot the white dual plated version that hogan used for No Holds Barred
@@cottyhearn590 I didn't include it because it was never used in the WWF, only in the movie.
Fantastic Video, just wanted to let you know the sidebar actually fell off on the raw episode after Stone Cold stole the WE belt, the episode starts with DX in the ring and Chyna had the belt on her shoulders and for a sec you can actually see the side bar falling off and she looks down to see what it was and looks back up. The episode before where stone cold was in the ring with the belt they zoomed in and you can see where the belt tip is only attached at the top of the horizontal bars. As for the last WE belt where the female snaps are 2x6 when i was a teenager watching the shows back then i noticed it when dx would come out to do their promos i noticed when i noticed how the belt tip when the belt was folded up that the belt tip always over lapped with the last plate and i confirmed it on the episode that stone cold stole the belt as when he was walking away from the ring and he holds the belt up you see it but only for a few seconds.
I sound like a warrior promo after a few bourbons 🤣🤣
@StoneColdSteve-Stocks After a few bourbons, I'd probably end up sounding like Thunderbolt Patterson 🤣. "OLE, IF YOU MOVE!!!" ruclips.net/video/7Nm-2dLsIMk/видео.htmlsi=OACjSAHgmjdS4I4E
Tip of the cap to you for putting yourself through Warrior's promos to get the screen caps and details, much appreciated.
Fantastic video time and effort is appreciated. That ORM winged eagle is amazing!
Yes! Thankyou for another one!
Excellent work and details. Very informative video. I always wondered what all the versions were. You answered many questions for me. Thanks M.C!
Nice video again ,their one other Winged eagle look like its a brand new one its in a case in the middle of the ring with Vince ,Undertaker and Kane in summer 1998 segment .This maybe could the one they will cut to make the hardcore belt later !!!
Overall, who is the most reliable, reasonably priced, skilled best maker to get a dual plated wing eagle? I a very hesitant to buy something from someone in Pakistan but I assume if you use Pay Pal goods and services you are protected…. But really curious who’s the most Reliable and honest and dependable winged eagle maker.
@Nightrain76 That depends on 2 factors: budget and wait time. I think ORM makes the best one all around. The price for an HD one like mine is $1650 and the wait time is 6-8 months. If you're wanting standard definition, FCLUBVK is a good maker. That'll be roughly $325 shipped. He usually has those belts in stock. Just remember, he charges an extra $50 for a belt tip. Arosha and Pinfall are also good options. Arosha is going to be probably a 4-5 month wait time and probably about $600 for HD. Pinfall is partnered with Antonio Mendoza. They have a package deal where you can get HD plates on Mendoza's leather for about $750. Pinfall/Mendoza will probably be around a 4 month wait time if I'm remembering correctly. All of those makers that I mentioned are very reputable in my opinion. It just comes down to the budget and the wait time that you're ok with.
@ wow thanks for taking the time for that detailed response. Inreally appreciate it. I only have a Shoprine for now…..
Brother this was good, thanks for the hard work❤❤❤
Hey Man thanks I didn't know I spark the series! Awesome 😊
Mike Petullo as one of shell tooling WE . Only The leather but the plates are Millican now. It's on RUclips. Nice job bro👍
The belt in this video has been sold as of 1/17/25. Between the holiday and me being off work and having to deal with Unemployment, payment was delayed for a bit. Again, this belt has been sold.
This guy got all the goods
Where do i get that exact belt?
@@brad24231 Which one? There's 6 different versions I covered in this video.
I’d throw Rollins, Brock, and Cena in 2015 at number 3 in triple threat matches. Good Titles!
Does the leather strap hold the belt up well?
@@AhmedHassan-ze2ub I've noticed no issues with the leather, so I'd say it does.
Good video .I dont think everyone know the real size of the V4 plate other then Dan Lambert lol i dont think bootlegger can make you a real V4 you only gonna get a V2 size plate with V4 leather 🤷♂️
The belt chronicles your doing are great! Keep them coming!
@@CA49CS Thank you!
It's O.R.M not "orm"
@TheNathanMan-n7n Well there are no periods that separate the letters on their Instagram, Facebook or on their leather stamp on their belts. Plus everyone in the hobby calls them ORM. I have two belts from ORM. One just says ORM and the other say Orm Leather.
@Mr.Cynical92 thank you for informing me I wasn't aware of that
The text above the logo on the V2 strap tooling is “HAND MADE” and then under that “J-MAR”
@atseab if you have pictures of that, I'd love to see them and make a correction video. Kind of like what I did with the Red Logo Intercontinental.
