Yes that is normal. You are not wasting your time. Once you have completed your canvas, follow the instructions on how to wash your canvas when you're done. Make sure you use the water temperature they recommend. Sometimes you may have to soak it longer than it says. But I do have videos of the completions of my cross stitch if you are interested. Once the canvas is washed it would look like you did counted cross stitch. If you have any more questions don't hesitate to reach out to me. Oh Rachel! I just seen the news, you guys did get snow ❄️ crazy 🤪 ! We got hit with snow today also just a couple inches , but that is normal for us, tonight it’s going to be really cold 🥶-35. The best advice I can give you is stay home and cross stitch 😆
