As a black american man and gay man, I really appreciate and love you tinx. I was hoping this would be a better and more inclusive time for minorities and marginalized groups including the LGBTQ, BIPOC and women in america but there unfortunately is still a lot of progress to be made but with trump and republicans taking over, there's a lot to be worried about and I'm extremely disappointed in America. And you're so right homophobia and transphobia are VERY pravalent in America especially in Republicans, conservatives, religious fundamentalists and oldsr generations generally. I just turned 23 on the 6th and i don't know how to feel, this is scary and being gay is not at all easy, and with my intersecting identities of being both black and gay in America, it can be very uniquely challenging wirh that as well. My family is mostly homophobic and it hurts bad and that caller was something else for sure 😢😢

One could make the argument that there are fewer gay people in the population overall to match with. Straight people have better odds of matching than we do. And as a gay man, I personally get along better with women. 😂

they think itss easy when your own parents say to you they can "fix you" and that you have mental problems? Do they struggle severely with social anxiety amplified by paranoia of bigotry on the daily and judgement by random people? First delulu caller needs to talk with more than one gay person. Bc 1) most gay men grow up woth WOMEN as friends bc they CANNOT relate to their fellow heteros. 2) most gay men (or boys) dont have the LUXURY to befriend other gay people bc it's SOCIALLY and MORALLY unacceptable in the heteronormative majority. 3) this all stems from FEAR. We struggle to be ourselves, bc we're not accepted, so not only do we develop our character and personalities much later due to this fact. This is also compounded with building healthy relationships bc we were not allowed to. 4) u can wrote a whole ass dissertation on this topic but this just came off the top of my head. 5) as for the concerns of women's rights. He needs to ask himself why it CONCERNS him and understand the pros and cons of having bodily autonomy and that abortion is an umbrella term. So its not JUST about terminating a pregnancy. Its about things rhat happen out of a woman's control and the procedures that have to be done to save EITHER life. 6) the guy also needs to understand that he's simplifying abortion to just an unwanted pregnancy. Which are not occuring at rampant rates. And any healthcare service that is removed from a community just exacerbates health issues and leads to ADDITIONAL problems.

Being gay is not easy at all. And loving someone of the same sex? Sir, gay men aren't even dating each other like that. But that is a conversation for another time.

Friendship is not the same as a romantic relationship wtf, if all humans were just naturally pansexual and not homophobic he'd have a point but that's not reality, and of course that completely overlooks the legalities of marriage and parental rights, etc. Some people just rely on anecdotal evidence and reasoning and overlook everything else that should rank above, especially in politics, where law matters.

I don't think a lot voters on the right understand its not like women want rampant abortions for wild crazy sex its to be able to choose in case, or if god forbid rape/incest, or medical reasons. The other issue like with Texas, is, whenever politicians are going on their crazy ban it all spill and you got an AG agreeing, it really puts a fear into medical professionals because what if a family member finds out you had an abortion and now tries to go after the dr or practice. SO they may want to help but because the law is strict or murky a lot of DRs are not going to want to perform one in fear of loosing their license or worse case being sent to prison on a life sentence/death sentence because Ive seen the right float that around as a punishment. The thing that irritates me is they claim religion and all this as reasoning but I find it super odd that they cherry pick which sins they want to be strict on, but will always say all sins are equal to god when they wanna chastise someone. SO it just this weird sense of them wanting control over not only their lives but others and they are using religion to scapegoat why they want to be horrible people. Dollar for donuts if your super religious its usually because youre trying to fill yourself with this undying devotion blindly because youre to afraid to have abstract thoughts because abstract thoughts scare you like what happens when you die etc, and it would mean youd have to face allllllll the horrible things youve done or wanted to do and say "yea im a shitty person" this is why I believe all religions in mass are just bad for the planet because they do way more harm than good. I love how he emphasizes "easier to connect with the same sex" then jumping to the conclusion that makes easier yet fails to actually process that the gay person has to go through multiple steps just to even be with another gay person far as facing discrimination from others, their own families, meeting another gay person, and other reasons I can't immediately think of also just because you're gay doesn't mean you know everyone else who is, your pool is so much smaller. It can actually suck how compatible men are with each other because there are so many friendships that gay men have had with straight men where they develop a crush but could never dare to express that because it can make things awkward or the person coming out could get a visceral response so that "perk" actually has a huge downside or it could be a situation where you find out your crush is closeted which complicates things further.

When people ask if women’s rights were “removed” when he was in office, remember he appointed the Supreme Court justices that ruled to overturn Roe. Remember that he was found liable for rape in a civil trial. He consistently took every opportunity he could to disparage and harass any woman he didn’t find agreeable and he always resorted to name calling and misogyny. He slowly chipped away at our rights. Ask for anyone to point to a moment in history in which rights were eroded overnight. That’s never how it happens. It’s a slow dissent. Chipping away until one day you realize that everything you worked so tirelessly to build, has finally collapsed and there’s no shelter. No protections.

Being gay is easy?! Most if not all gay men/women still deal with homophobia EVERYDAY! Just last week I went into my neighborhood bar placed an order of wings and there was guy sitting there with a beer on hand. He asks the bartender when did it become a F@G bar and baby when my wings came out I couldn’t resist in throwing them at him!!

I haven’t even finished his take yet on gay/trans people but the argument that people make towards the LGBTQ+ community or any community for that matter where you accepting and embracing yourself as being a choice in what your identity is is so misconstrued which is ridiculous to me. I had nothing to relate to because none of my guy friends were into the hobbies, shows, music, etc. I was nor did we have the same romantic experiences. I related more to women who were the opposite sex. This idea is so flawed.
