Won't grinding sal damage the blades? Please let me know?
I haven’t had any issues with damage, and I grind my herb salt in a food processor. I have been using making this recipe for years with the same food processsor and no problem.
@createmygarden Thank you❤
I use 1 cup of herbs to 1 cup of salt and put them in my dehydrator to dry. 95 degrees for 24 hours. I’m new to this. I do not have a garden, we live in the Arizona desert. I have watched quite a few videos. So many different measurments of herbs to salt. The 1 cup to 1 cup seemed easy. I used Redmond salt.
Just make sure that there is more salt because it acts as a preservation. If you don't have the enough salt the herbs will go bad. Putting them in your dehydrator is a great idea!
Great job Alicia! so amazing!
Thanks so much!
Garlic is amazing! I love it so much
Love it in everything. Well, maybe not ice cream?!
@@createmygarden that would be grim! But I get they have it in some posh restaurant up London
There's a restaurant in San Francisco (The Stinking Rose) that puts garlic in everything. And lots of it.
@@createmygarden that sounds like my sort of place... what about icecream. I have heard of a smoke salmon icecream
Soft neck garlic grows in zone 5b #SeColorado
Good to know! Thanks for the info!
Wonderful. Thanks for sharing!
Hey, all! Sorry the music was too much for you. I'll definitely keep that in mind as I'm making these. Appreciate the great feedback!
Please restrict music to your intro / outro - too loud vs your voice and very distracting. Watched on mute :-/
While i really do appreciate your video i must say that the background music was to loud and intrusive. I couldn't watch the entire video because the music was irritating and not necessary. Thanks for trying. Will you do another video without the music ? Please ❤
great info, thank you for sharing your knowledge! One request -- Could you do versions of the video without the background music?
Thanks for sharing! I have adopted teens too! Glad the videos are helping you towards that homesteading- growing your own food goal. The video I released today- I think you will find really useful.
Im a zennial, aka a 96 millennial. (Last year for millennials) my wife jokes im in a combo villain and gardening era. Villain era according to our adopted teenagers. 😂😂 Im tired of struggling and just want to have a homestead so we can have food. I just found your videos and they are awesome. Im learning a lot more. Thank you!
Thanks !
I love doing this! Make sure to put the seeds through a "cold" snap for a few weeks before you plant, and your blossoms and blooms will be so much better and bigger!
Love that suggestion! thanks for sharing.
I just have a very small growing space since I live in a triplex style apartment. I have a patio and a small area in front of my unit where I have a couple small beds and a few boxes. I have a storage tub on my patio that a beautiful dill grew in this season. A few days ago I removed the flower/seed head and sprinkled seeds in a few random places. I appreciate anything that grows that I can eat, but my little garden has basically turned into a refuge for insects, toads, lizards, etc. I feel like they need it more than I do in this timeline where there is a war on nonhuman lifeforms. ..
You are an amazing human. I love that you are so willing to share with the little things in your garden. I hope one day, you will get things to eat and the little things too! Thanks for sharing!
@@createmygarden thanks so much. My greatest wish is to one day create an oasis of life for all creatures small and large. Plants, animals, just all the beings.
@@trevaenglish1542what a beautiful plan!
When you make real tomato soup add some dill seed 🪅 its amazing 🪅 it even adds zip to canned soup🙂
That sounds amazing! I need to try!
In my country there's no such thing called 'offering us woodchips'. You either have the money to buy soil and mulch and woodchips or you're pretty much screwed. We bought a house with that kind of dead land and we're trying to ressurrect it with what we've got: dry leaves, food leftovers, manure, etc etc etc. Basically, we have turned our garden into a ginormous compost bin. And It's gonna take years. I'm glad to know that your country already has these kind of services❤ Good luck to your great work.
Thanks for sharing. I love that you understand the importance of building up your soil. I wish this service was available for you too. It helps the local arborists and people who need ways to naturally build up soil. Thanks for being here.
I have rosemary growing along my fence - and yes, it sure does smell great when you touch the leaves. It is really great with prime rib too : D
I need to try that! Thanks for the suggestion!
You should try mints and citruses as well. Mint is my number one calming comfort go to
Wonderful suggestion! I totally agree. Thanks for sharing.
Great for pickling!
So true! And delicious!
Cool vid
Thanks!
this is so cool love the video! ❤
Thank you so much!!😊
That’s so interesting, what other plants do you let go to seed?
Dill, lettuce, spinach, kale, chard are just a few! These are easy and dry out on their own in the sun. I also love to save all types of bean plants for the next year.
Plus, you can use the seeds for cooking Indian dishes!
So true! Love how many uses seeds provide. Thanks for sharing.
If anyone knows cilantro, we don't need more of it.
I wish that I could grow cilantro in the summer heat to go with all my tomatoes for salsa!
Growing any plant brings you closer to connecting to our source of energy, the sun.❤❤❤
Grow bags are a wonderful choice! I have all my blueberries in grow bags!
Love it!
Thanks!! I wanted to share my favorite help for storing tools.
I love the accessibility to my tools and they are protected from the elements!
This is an old idea, that works.😊
I love things that work!
Nice tour! You had a lot to share, but we couldn't always see things in the video. When you would say "See . . ." the person holding the camera needed to move off of you and onto the garden itself. I've been following your emails for the year, but unfortunately I've not been able to garden myself. I am hoping that next year will bring less interruptions in getting my garden set up. I have been enjoying the information you have been sharing in the emails and hope to review them during the winter to get ready for next year. Where did you get the hemp that you are using as mulch? I subscribed to you RUclips Channel
Thanks for the feedback! We're still figuring out how to do this 😁. I got the hemp straw at Tractor Supply. I can't wait to hear more from you. Thanks for being here and a part of this journey
Great tips! Thanks for sharing 🙌
You're so welcome! So appreciate you being here.
Video shoild be called 5 things in my amazon shop jeeez every tip was just a plug 😢
This is cool! 😎 New subbie here!
Awesome! Thank you!
🙌 thanks! So glad you're liking everything. What are you planning to grow this season?
Pumpkins, summer squash, tomatoes, and eggplant are a must in my garden
@@createmygarden awe do a lot of eggplant and tomatoes in ours as well! For the pumpkins, grow one every other Garden Grid square to give them space. Looking forward to seeing them!
What a great video! I really appreciated how you showed the practicality of companion planting - in action! ❤ Thank you! Where do you live? I am in Alabama and we are hitting 90-plus degrees already. But I am not deterred. 😅
Thanks for the kind comment! I'm in Northern CA and it is heating up for sure here too!
Love this Alicia. So helpful! I've finally got my boxes ready. Now I just need marigolds.
I'm so excited for you and I'm here to help you ever step of the way
For 99 usd???? Are you kidding. Im using Bamboo or a wooden Stick. Its free and did work for the last 2024 years. Wtf..
That is a much better option for you. I’m showing the options. I would love to see how you use the bamboo.
Tôi rất thích cách bạn trồng dâu Tây 🍓,trồng trên tháp quả dâu Tây rất sạch sẽ không nhiễm ấu trùng giun 🪱.
Cảm ơn. Tôi rất vui vì bạn thích video này Thank you. I'm so glad you enjoyed the video
Bạn làm rất tốt ,cảm ơn bạn đã chia sẻ cách làm đất trồng cây với mọi người .
Shoot if I waited till it was over 65, the getting season would be six weeks long.
So hard! It means that you are able to grow cool season crops for most of the year. If you use a container for your warm or hot season crops and pull it close to the house and add plant cloth, you could extend the season.
Why not just plant marigolds they return every year
you must live in a climate that the marigolds can survive the winter. where i live, marigolds die in the cold and are annuals.
I just started 3 yrs ago...keep going.
love the encouragement!
What wrong with miracle grow?
synthetic materials do not replenish the soil but deplete it.
Plz provide me detail information what is use for and what is that.???
I use red pepper flakes to put around plants that are being eaten by little critters, like squirrels and skunks. Those types of critters do not like the smell or the taste of pepper. If they don’t like the smell, then they will stay away from that area and move to a different part of the yard.
OK thanks we don't have squirrel at here and I don't know pepper flakes too😂
This garden more well seasoned than most European food
🤡
lol!!😂 so true! If I had to eat this many hot pepper flakes in my food, I wouldn’t be able to finish my meal
...I just used it last week... it works, cats outside, that walk about, all fine
I’m so glad it worked for you with cats! Thanks for sharing.
How do you prepare them after harvesting
I add them to a hot frying pan with avocado oil and keep stirring until they almost blister. Then I add salt and eat! So yummy.
Is this for four footed pests?
This works well for critters like skunks and other animals like that. I haven't tested it with dogs or cats. For cats I have a couple of tricks including using old cat food aluminum cans filled with water. The cats didn't want to hang out in the areas where they might have food. Hope this helps!
