Yamaha Wolverine X2 High Centered
Просмотров 2,4 тыс.4 года назад
This is in Sinker Creek outside of Silver City. There is a large tree that fell over the original trail which forced us to either turn around or navigate through the creek bed. Wasn't a problem for the KRX in the group, but it was a challenge for the Yamaha Wolverine X2. Big enough rock that it had all 4 tire off the ground at one point. Thanks for watching, enjoy the video.

Hello, Are you interested in testing our products? We would like to invite you to test the Soft Cab Enclosure Upper Doors for your KRX 1000 ( if your car year is 2020+
Great video keep it up
What PSI did you have your tires? Air those puppies down to just a few pounds
Looks like an awesome ride and awesome site
Good information, thanks! 👍 I just picked up a used 2020 with 49 miles on it back in September. From what I understand, Kawie designed that weak point into the driveshaft to protect the internals on the tranny so it would break before tearing anything else up. Not 100% sure though. You know how it is when you've "heard" something 😉
Kinda where I'm stuck at ! Mine is really loose right now and thinking of upgrading shaft and other parts associated with the drive shaft. But something has to be a weak link , to protect a major problem with transmission or front diff . Love my machine though
Definitely know it's my carrier bearing, so guess I'll be changing that out.
I would bet whatever machine was first breaking trail would be the one to get stuck. I would have liked to see the krz go up past where razor made it to. I always love to see which machine goes better. great video
This is the second video I've seen with a briken axle. Hope it's not an ongoing issue with the krx, as I'm hoping to purchase one around May next year
Driveline not the Axle
Awesome! I love my KRX, amazing machine. Where’d ya get your rear chase light?
what's wrong with using diff lock?
Hope things are going good! Love your videos, would love to see some more krx on 35"s ❤
Unfortunately Hoss passed away in late December.
@@McCurdyOutdoors im sorry for your loss, he seemed like a good man.
Have a new krx , just got back from sandhollow Utah, followed a guy in a krx it made every 8 trail double Sammie, chut, can't wait to goto the Owyhee
What tires were you running?
Those 35’s look great. I just got a blue krx about 10 days ago.
From off-roading Land Rovers, I'd suggest taking the stuff off the roof. You are raising the center of gravity (wait until you side hill), bowing the roof (especially in hot weather) and put your tires on the larger rocks when you encounter them . Also, one spotter/guide. Everyone else is quiet or the driver will get confused.
Super awesome video
How long of a trail is it and how long did it take to get through? Also I have a 4 seater, can that get through ok?
What state are you guys out of
We are looking located in Idaho.
Whats club name i am in the bosie area looking for a group to ride with if uts possible..

How have the krx’s been holding up for you guys they seam tuff but I don’t own one so I have no clue they seam very capable in the nasty trails.
I have a question for the KRX, when in deep snow did the front end bounce and feel like the front diff was going to explode or snap an axle? Also, did it seem like the rotation was not as smooth as the back, like it was missing splines.... Thx for the input...
Sounds like a problem with your front diff
@@SpeeeedyG That sux, any quick test I can do to figure it out?
@@thedudeify engage 4wd lock and drive it. It should be as smooth as 2wd. If it’s not there’s a problem. You can also remove the oil fill bolt on the diff and see if there are metal shavings in the fluid.
@@SpeeeedyG thx for the info, will try that👍 Update! look at 2:24 and 2:30 in the video and the front tire spin isn’t as smooth as the back, I thought it would be the same rotation speed? Seems to only spin when torque is built up on axle????
@@thedudeify front is limited slip. Rear is always locked. Unless you lock the front wheels with the rear via the switch, this is normal.
Great Video!!
Love that KRX nice tires
How deep.
Wow! I’ve had mine for a year now, I’ve been lucky. Haven’t broke a driveshaft or Axle yet. I switched to 35in RockZillas back in July. Was worried about breaking axles but been good so far.
These machines are beasts! I guess the stock driveshafts are the weak link. Thanks for watching! Happy holidays!
I think I started to go down that trail once. But since it was just me and the wife in one machine we didn't go very far on it.
Oooooof! Sub'd
I LIVE IN EMMETT ID AND OWN A 1000 TURBO WITH BOONDOCKER EXHAUST AN I LOVE IT
One of these days I need to go back and hit Carnage again. I have a history with that trail. For some reason every time I go to run it I end up breaking something.
Lol, its brutal for sure. One of my favorites for sure.
I'm loving the videos, I don't subscribe much but as a fellow Idaho boy I had to! Do you have your logo as a sticker? If so let me know I would sport one. Would love to ride with you guys someday. I have never done any riding in your area.
You should figure out a way to show a map with the trail highlighted. So viewers who don’t know the trails can go check them out
The unspoken rule is that you don't post online where these trails are. I found it really annoying when I was starting out too. A lot of people are afraid of the trails getting overrun by idiots who will abuse the trails, leave trash, or get themselves into trouble in unfamiliar areas, so the preferred way of learning about these trails is to get with people who can guide you for your first time. If you don't want to do that, I'll just say this. Go to Hemingway Butte and drive south on Reynolds Creek and do some exploring on the trails on either side of Reynolds Creek road. Lots of fun trails all over that area.
@@HomebrewHorsepower I know that trail personally. It’s good for the 2 door models, 4 door models are to long. I find the hardest part of our state is everyone has a different name for the same trail. Most of our community is responsible, in all honesty I haven’t came across a complete idiot yet. Idaho is a special place and I’m with you about not destroying our state. This summer was crazy with how many side by side trailers where parked everywhere and I still haven’t seen trash. I live in south nampa so this area is my local fun spot. It’s hard to find a group of people to ride with.
@@HomebrewHorsepower have you done that jeep trail off rabbit creek rd?
@@yeahok115sure There are a whole bunch of trails out there. I've been through most of that area pretty thoroughly. I used to live in Kuna, so this area has been one of my favorites for a long time. I think my favorite trail in the area is probably Sinker Creek. Pretty easy, but fun. Can easily bring nearly stock rigs along for the ride. Nice way to involve friends and family who don't regularly get out to stuff like this.
@@HomebrewHorsepower honestly that silver city area is probably the best place to trail ride UTV’s in Idaho.I’ve been to a bunch of places in Idaho and they are mostly just log roads. Which get boring fast. Sinker creek is a blast in spring when the creek is high. The Mormon crickets bring a entirely different aspect of fun with my wife.😂 she freaks out when they get near her
Differential lock is your friend in situations like this
So true! 👍
Thanks for keeping me on my toes Hoss.. I will miss U ... RIP...
Are those Rockzilla 35's on the KRX? It would be great if you guys could add a description of all the UTV's and the mods on your home page or in the description
Yep, 35s. Love them so far.
nice job in meat grinder that waterfall looks like it won but you guys make the upper section with ease
Thanks man!! The waterfall is brutal in a SXS. Almost impossible. But the rockgarden at the top is my favorite part. We'll get that waterfall someday!
Air down those tires way to much pressure your tires need a little more flex and you would have had so much more traction
Your content is so clean. I usually watch mudding but damn you boys crawl! Its near criminal you don't have more subs.
Thanks man! 👊
So what tires are doing the best? I see the roxxzillas what size and are they the sticky compound?
I'm pretty happy with the roxxzillas. They are the sticky compound and they are not holding up well to the abuse. The Carnivores are problebly the best so far. Just wish they came in a 35x15x10.
@@offroading2084 ur roxxzillas are getting chewed up huh?
Yeah, they are super soft. Awesome for the rocks and trails, but hard surfaces (gravel roads, snow/ice) really chew them up.
Snow rides are the best. Here up north in the pan handle, its just been getting hammered
Would love to get up there at some point. We had a solid couple of storms in Nov, but nothing since. Cheers, thanks for watching!
Oh I'm pretty sure we could have made it up to you bud lol ;) Good video keep em comin!

Nice video! Did you run the front diff locked in the snow?
Thanks man, yes ran the diff locked while cutting tracks.
Awesome video man!
Thanks man👊
Beautiful place to ride looks like! Awsome video!! KRK is an awsome machine
Thanks man! 👊
awesome video man.
Thanks man

Thanks for the videos. So how’d you break it? Do you have the video? Was it caused by the wheels spinning and then suddenly catching traction or was it a stationary break with no wheel spin?
It broke under pressure much like an axle would. Crested the top of an obstacle under full power. When the front came down it snapped. I'll try to find the video and post it.
