Is This Tiny Recorder Any Good?? // Tascam Portacapture X6 review!
Hello! I was recently sent this Tascam Portacapture X6 to review (so it's sponsored) so here are my *honest* thoughts! This was actually a tricky product to review because there are so many uses/ features that I felt like my video would be too long if I used all of them.
Overall thoughts- Sounds great and pretty easy to use. The fact it has a LOT of features was both a pro and a con in my opinion. It will either be perfect for you or too complicated. I would love to hear comments from people who have used this for a while!

So I watched a couple of "too much guitar gear" videos, and most of them were informative about what to do, which effects to ditch (for example those you haven't used for over a year) etc. Here I quite didn't understand the connection between the literal meaning of the video with the actual content here, which is 80% of the video and is covering not "too much gear", but sponsored product, which is actually not about it. Wrong proportion, for me. Like your videos, just a little insight from my point of view. Cheers!

This is really helpful, thanks. I used to go see Jeff Buckley play solo in small clubs in NYC and sometimes he'd play with an electric which was great. Love to see and hear singer-songwriters go that way. I'm curious what your amp of choice is for this setup especially thinking about portability. I see a Vox in the background there. Is that the one you tend to use?

I use two loopers, one at the front and one at the end of my pedalboard. I’ll play a music part and loop it, then manipulate it with the effects pedals in real time and capture that with the second looper. And during the song I’ll go back and forth between the two loopers creating a multi part sound scape. just kidding.

Greetings from Hungary! I found your other looper video when I was looking up a few videos on the Ditto. Nice job explaining the various things to look out for... I second most of them. I've so far only ever played with one looper (the Digitech Jamman) and that one doesn't have quantizing functions. It definitely takes a bit of practice to get used to hitting the "1" correctly each time. Your demo here is excellent, nice playing! That's a beautiful finish on your guitar too.

Young college graduate from kinda the middle of nowhere trying to figure out if city living is worth it. I will say I’d never felt so at home while on vacation when I was there, everyone was driven just like me. Barely anyone ever moves away in my state so moving feels like a big step if I decide to but I feel stuck in the same circles. Ive made some great leeway in my local scene and I fear starting over but I think the diversity and enthusiasm there would be a welcome change. I only just found out my state is currently ranked the worst for 20 somethings to live in to rent lol it doesn’t look like it but it’s overcrowded here and jobs in general (not just music) don’t pay well unless you’re in certain fields (which I am not in). I just loved the beauty and spirit of Nashville, it’s similar to Austin in regards to great job growth but prettier bars in Nashville. My side incomes teaching private lessons and my day job in psychology have been incredibly helpful in investing more into my merch production. Going to continue my research on Nashville, I didn’t know about its external areas, thank you so much for this video!!! :)
