I am happy to finally hear a 'I don't need a big bedroom, I'm just to going to sleep in it' and ''I don't need a huge kitchen, I'm dining out anyways'. That's always annoying me while watching this show: why would you need a huge bedroom, kitchen or storage room in a holiday home? Right, you really don't.

What a sweetie that buyer was, and I think she chose the right one, it was perfect for her!

Didn't particularly like this couple....they were both very arrogant.... Surprised that the seller accepted and offer 25 grand below what she was asking....she was willing to come down by so much, whereas the buyers were only willing to go up 7.5 grand from their initial offer...the place was new to the market and was lovely and yet they didn't even want to meet in the middle...the seller gave a more than fair counter offer (she should have counerofferef 310 grand, not 305) and that still wasn't good enough for the buyers and they still wanted her to knock off 2.5 grand....like i said, very arrogant couple and condescending too

All of those properties shown were perfect holiday properties but it can be so difficult to choose when what you really want is another home away from home. Head and heart really do get confused and easy to understand why when you can see what's on offer for your money and the quality of lifestyle is just so good over there. Think they got a little swept away with it all. Personally I don't think they should increase their budget and buy a bigger space because from personal experience, family and friends would really only able to visit once a year per group. Most of the time you are on your own in your property.

Sadly what APITS never tells their home buyers is the tax they will have to pay on top of the agreed price!! it can be anything from 7% to 15% .

Oh what a shame it fell through? Glad they did find another home though. That last house was so adorable, and would’ve been perfect if it had grass area for the dogs. I loved the kitchen!

that apartment was a good buy - those views and the space inside were great.

Pool house seemed great, less work to do - flatter land too - but it's not my money lol.

The "round-ish" house is a nightmare imo, people will come and go, and when you just want to relax out back by the pool, there will always be people taking advantage of your private seating, etc.

I got tired of hearing their faking parrots. Birds don’t need a house. Crazy humans.

While i am happy for them going with that property that they previously lost and didn't want to loose again, i prefer the 3rd one. For me it had a better layout in the living and dining spaces, beautiful bedroom with ensuite and a good outdoor space. Hopefully it wouldn't cost much to renovate the downstairs but it will be worth it.

All very well buying a property, but, what about the annual or monthly levies? Electricity/ water costs...is never mentioned. Staying on a golf course or on an urbanization with pool, property maintenance, eg, garden services, cleaning, security, ....costs. 🤔🙄

Surely buyers check places on line. They must then have a definite idea of what they want and the price, and where situated, eg, near airport . Every detail down to kitchen size, etc. Their own house is easy enough to measure. All info sent into channel.There shouldn't be mistakes.

Why are people acting so judgmental towards the couple...they are decent people...they just didn't like any of the property...I also didn't like any in terms of price and location...they can always increase their budget and buy later.

These properties were all beautiful and I was quite torn about which one to choose from. The 3rd one with all the outdoor space and beautiful garden? The 4th with the beautiful bathrooms and kitchen? The 5th with the most space indoors and more value for money? It makes sense to go with the 5th. I do not like the current layout but that can be changed.

They should have takwn the Penthouse property.......Value will increase and ...

What a great choice they made! I know the area well. This property is so charming and at most 30 min. to the historical port city of Cartagena and beaches of Mazzaron, and the nearest beach is only about 15 min. away. Great rental potentional and also a superb place to live permanently. I’m actually a bit envious, but I’m happy for this lovely couple!

Unfortunately I think a lot of people can’t vision past the sellers interior design and furniture! Sometimes I cringe when I look at the furniture that the sellers have chosen. In fact most of them!

A nice couple, and great to see their genuine and honest reactions to the properties. It's interesting that on Place in the Sun programmes, clients are asked their budget, then that 'wriggle room' extra. Of course they are always pushed to the top end, so may as well just say that as their top budget!
