What's Next for the Podcast // The Nutup Show #15
If you want to go above and beyond you could offer both the business owners / interesting people without an online presence + the ones that do have a certain presence to give 5 short form clips or more (clipped from the podcast you will be doing with them) that they can distribute on their channels. Would be a great offer to convince people. Then back this up with the great quality / lightning you have in your recording studio. Let me know if that makes sense.
That's a good idea, can never hurt to give them as much value from the experience as possible, thanks!
@@odum 100%! Looking forward to the first episodes!
Excited for you! Looking forward to getting a listen.
Thanks so much Kev, much appreciated!
Happy New Year!
Happy New Year to you as well, all the best in 2025!
Hey Odum , I really enjoyed your latest video! Your content has a lot of potential, and I specialize in helping creators grow their RUclips channels through proven strategies that have worked for my clients. If you're ever interested in taking your channel to the next level, I'd love to discuss how I can assist you with everything from planning to execution. Let me know if you'd like to connect!
Glad you liked the video! I'm not interested in this right now but keep up the good work!
Hi sir, great video, keep creating. Would you like to use video editor and creative thumbnail designer? I can help you with that and would like to show my prev works and discuss more. Let me know if you are interested.
Thanks for watching! Not looking for any help right now, but keep working on growing your skills.
@odum Thanks for the reply. I will.
I think that its ok for this to be A template for A type of business. The next template can be for an accountant, or construction company, etc. As someone who has used templates in the past, the actual content on a template is less important to me than if i can envision my specific content laid out in a similar manner as the template.
That's good information Kev, thanks. Creating a template for a specific industry (even without content) will be easier for me to design around than a generic "for everyone" template.
Keep the main thing the main thing!
Keep moving forward!
25:45 Webflow is currently in a challenging position with two options: 1. Build everything internally and turn them into addons, which risks their new Apps Marketplace (for example, if they add cookie consent features, it could push out companies like Finsweet). 2. Develop just enough to allow the Marketplace to expand, then potentially acquire these extensions later, particularly for their AI capabilities. It's logical to assume they might eventually buy out Relume, given their activity in that area.
I would think #2 makes the most sense. Allow people to develop on top of your platform, gain more market share, and then buy out companies and integrate into your core product.
Yeah they got huge push back on the templates stuff (slow processes internal) - huge move. Might consider making templates again
100%, I'm going to keep an eye on what they do to see if it'll be worthwhile, seems promising so far.
Nice video as always !
Thank you!
Looking forward to the next livestream! take care
Good luck!
Hello
Hello!
been following you for a while...How much you made bro till now?
Thanks for following, total revenue since starting is just under $150,000.
Thanks for sharing your design journey.
You're welcome, thanks for watching!
Hey, I have been polite by not mentioning your chubby cheeks! lol
lol, I appreciate that Gavin, but an honest fat joke every now and then would be just fine!
what's the best way to reach out to you man, personally.
You can always reach me by email at odum@piixel.ca
I use webflow and ROR, why you dont create your UI component into webflow export the code, copy & paste into your project ?
After using Webflow daily for over a year since this video that definitely would be something I would do, of course since then we've changed course a few times and have built a completely different application! Great to hear of someone else who is a fan of both ROR and Webflow :)
Great to be back, Mr. Everyday! Wow, you're going live so consistently. How are you progressing with your goals in this challenge?
It is a slow progress at this stage, but I'm dedicated to keep going while making progress everyday, thanks for for checking in
He sir
Hello!
I like the direct messaging and appealing to emotions - but design wise I want you to show me you can tell a story through the experience of the site! I support you either way 😊
I 200% agree with you. I do have some ideas, however, I'm torn between how much time to invest in this vs. Piixel Pieces at this stage of the game. I do appreciate the support, thank you!
You are cute
Damn, I really wanted to be here for this one.
I appreciate that! I'll be talking more about this tomorrow too. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
@@odum I just sent you an email btw. I'll try to catch the episode tomorrow.
That science niche sure sounds tempting right about now :)
It might just be... Growing this might take longer than I have time for without any new source of revenue coming in.
You could create a first RUclips video on "how to create a blog with webflow step by step". With that video you cover the basics of a website; -Installation (if installed) -Setting -Header -hero -dynamic content -CTAs -Frameworks -Footer -Html -css -Maybe some Js It is a simple recommendation.
Great idea! I love the idea of mixing in the how-to style of explaining Webflow but incorporating aspects of design and development.
Errors I see on the page (although no one asked me): 1: It doesn't tell me a story that hooks me into it; 2: It doesn't tell me what problem the product solves for me; 3: It doesn't help me decide to buy; 4: You don't have enough CTAs to guide me; 5: It does not have social proof that reaffirms its quality; 6: You don't give me an example of ease of use. That's my opinion, I think you should remake it from scratch, working on its purpose.
Thank you for this list Roland, it is very helpful. While I agree with most of your points and there are things many things I need to do to improve the page, I don't believe starting from scratch is the right course of action. There is a good foundation here, but we need to do a better job and telling our story (value).
The answer is simple, work on small projects of 1700 to 2300 dollars that keep the lights on and the children fed and in parallel work 8 hours a day at piixel pices for 1 and a half years; If it doesn't work, you learn and if it works, there's your answer. But give time to time.
I think you hit the nail on the head there - it is going to take time. No matter which direction I choose I need to make sure to give myself enough time to make it work... or learn what doesn't!
Automated computer bots go everywhere, looking for people to scam.
Yeah, it's too bad there is so much of that out there.
Wow, this series is insane! A hug from Brazil!
Thanks so much!
Am starting a similar journey and i already love the way you are sharing your journey and looking forward to watch all the videos
I wish you all the success in the world on your journey and do let me know how it's going!
Freemium FTW! :)
I had a feeling you'd like today's topic, thanks for the nudge in the right direction!
You could use the Windows powertoys run program to do quick math and searches like Mac spotlight search program for quicker calculation etc. I've configured mine wigh Alt+Spacebar. Saves me a lot of time for calculation while working.
Great episode as always. Quick question, probably mentioned in e previous episode but I must have missed it. This is CF 2.0 right? Not 2.1. If so, why?
Thanks! Yes, using client first principles, but if there are specific things that I haven't included from version 2.1 it is because I haven't gotten myself up to date with the changes since 2.0.
NOTE: In Webflow native components cannot be cut and pasted so the components I created for the pricing tiers will not paste cross project.
This is actually EP 255 (you have 2 labeled 254)
Good catch, thanks!
Good going!!
Thanks Gavin! Can't tell you how much I appreciate your support!
Is it a coincidence ..i was thinking about starting an online business and your video showed up ..maybe its a sign from God..
It just so happens that today is the absolute best day for you to start a business! Wishing you all the best and keep me updated on your progress!
I vote for orange!
Orange is so hard to work with, I do have it now as an accent which I updated last night, but that might change if we go away with blue.
I remember your pizza components looked delicious with good cheezeflow.
Oh man, pizza on Friday had triple cheezeflow, delicious indeed!

Where can I find out when you'll be live-streaming?
I believe if you're subscribed and notified (that bell icon) you will receive a notification when I go live. I do go live everyday Monday through Friday, usually early afternoon Eastern time.
subscribed immediately! Keep it up :)
Welcome aboard!!
500 video -> 271 subs, have u been punished by RUclips bro?
No, I'm just doing a bad job at marketing my channel!
it's crazy how this type of content don't get any recommendation but hateful or negative content will :( keep up brother!
Thanks Andy, much appreciated!
Delayed comment - Finsweet tables was "recently" released and is pretty f'in sweet.
I just checked it out and it looks awesome! I don't know why it isn't native in Webflow, crazy!
“HEY ANDREA, THE MEATLOAF!” 😂😂😂
lol, classic!
Holy hell Odum, episode 191 and i just found your channel. I'll have a lot of catching up to do. The content seems really align with my goal to build a company similar to yours. Can't wait to watch through your stuff. Keep it up!!!
Welcome aboard Sam, great to have you here and be sure to keep me posted on how your company is going!
Well, at least the cost of the tax software is tax-deductible.
lol, that is a plus!
Watched! just came from episode 182 where you reffered me to this episode. man i love how consistant and focus you are. i'm with you in this journey.
Welcome aboard, happy to have you here!
Which is best? Framer or webflow?
For me, Webflow. For you - depends on your skillset and needs. If you like code and/or to dig into things deeper you may prefer Webflow, but if you just want to design a great site and want an easier to use interface then Framer is likely better.
