Acrylic swipe with silicone / black, gold & blue / MY NEW FAVOURITE
In this video, watch this beautiful acrylic swipe with silicone in beautiful gold, black, blue and white come to life! I painted two swipe paintings--one with a white background (with black cell activator) one with a black background with white cell activator). Let me know which one you liked best!
Though it's not a detailed tutorial, I do some voice-over to give you a window into my process. This is absolutely my latest favourite!! I love that I was able to conserve more negative space, as I feel like that gives a nicer composition--gives they eye more resting space.

LOTS OF CELLS in this split cup pour painting / making acrylic skins
Просмотров 3162 месяца назад
I got lots of cells in this split cup POUR PAINTING!! Usually, I make skins to use in jewelry or cards. In the end, I didn't want to cut this one up quite so drastically, so I made it into a four-painting 'quad' set with each painting 8X8". I will often use a new canvas with the plastic still on for my skins. Just helps keep the pour very stable, and I'm able to tilt, etc. After it dries, I use...
OPEN CUP Acrylic pour painting demo --make skins for cards or jewelry
Просмотров 5653 месяца назад
In this acrylic pour painting demo, I make skins to use in jewelry or cards. I find it easier to sell cards or pendants sometimes than larger pour paintings. Cutting the skins into smaller 'miniature' paintings actually helps feature the amazing details more effectively as well. I will often use a new canvas with the plastic still on for my skins. Just helps keep the pour very stable, and I'm a...

Valentines day PAINTING inspiration / TIME-LAPSE heart-theme forests
Great color combination - I love the black background!
When u say 1/3 white paint for your pillow do you mean acrylic white paint or a can of house paint? I know there other Floetrol added.as well of course! Thanks cuz I was wondering
I haven’t used house paint. I know some pour painters do. I mostly use flow acrylic by artist loft as it’s economical and seems to work fine.
Outstanding! I’m so tired and exhausted with chasing the bloom technique which includes the expensive paint and it seems never ending and frustrating. I’d Ike to return to a much more simpler and less expensive way to do my paint pours. I find I lose my Joy and want to have fun at it once again. God Bless You
Hi, watching from Sweden! What I love about paintings like these is that it reminds me so much of childhood, where your imagination could run wild. I remember looking at patterns in the wooden sealing and starting to see faces and figures in patterns. Now it’s the same with these paintings, I look and I see so many things in them. I can just get lost looking at them. Its kind of meditative (is that even a word?) I haven’t yet tried to do a painting like this, but I plan to tomorrow. Just still gathering inspiration and knowledge to get started. Also, my favourite colors are also teal and purple, in that order, and I love them together 😊
That is so true about it being meditative! I have a whole playlist with pours to watch for relaxation and meditation, but it wasn't very popular, lol. I can get very giddy... like a child when I watch the colours dance. No matter the outcome, it is just plain fun to do! Let me know how things go!
WOW! That is amazing! Such fabulous colours and those juicy cells are fantastic! Thank you for sharing this lovely video! New subscriber here, have a fabulous day! 🩷
You're welcome. And thanks for coming and spending time with me on here!! Love those juicy cells!
Hi Lisa, I’m new to acrylic pour so just learning. I have tried doing a pour with one third paint, two thirds Owatrol Floetrol and a couple of drops of silicone but not one cell. I have done different dilutions with water because it seemed to be a thick consistency, can you help please, don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I used a torch to see if that would help but it didn’t. Thanks for your great videos.
I have never used Owatrol so I'm not sure if it acts differently than my american Floetrol. If there's one thing I have learned it's that this is as much about chemistry as it is about art, lol! I just had to keep trying. I do know one key for me was when I made a cell activator out of either black or metalic (a bit more watery than your other colours), skim it over the surface lightly with a palette knife, and presto! That gives me really cool cell and lacing effects. But all you can do is keep trying different things.
Loved the pour. Are you noy going by art Sherpa any more? I would like to see more winter pictures on glass and 3d
Haha I look like her, but we’re different people, lol. She’s awesome!!
Fantastic!!🤩
I really loved what you did here! I'm wondering if you do any pour art classes at the rec hall. I'm in the Bluffs too.
No, but I can host up to 3 people in my studio. 😁
Let me know if you like having 2 similar paintings that get hung together (we call it a diptych if you want to get technical, lol!). What colour combination would you like to see me try?
Beautiful!
Thanks, Karen!
Let me know in the comments what colour scheme or what technique you would like me to try next!!
Looks like some of your best work so far to me!
Awe thanks so much!
Please. Tell me the secret to have so many cell
There are many elements to cells. For me, I have found silicone of some kind is absolutely necessary for bigger, better cells, though I do get some smaller ones just by using american floetrol mixed into the paints. Everyone seems to do it differently, lol. The downside with silicone is that you have to wash the painting with Dove soap and water once it's dry and cured or it won't accept varnish. Feel free to ask me other questions! Sorry I took so long to respond!
Why are you trying to look like cinnamon Cooney?
Haha I’ve had purple hair for years. It’s either that or white, and I’m a colourful person. Stopped doing brown a long time ago and now it just doesn’t seem to suit me. Look crappy in blonde and worse in red, so my hair dresser suggested purple several years ago and it stuck! Love Cinnamon-she rocks the pinks and purples too!!
Awesome video, thank you... I must say that I personally prefer listening to music than listening to dialogue... 😀👍
I prefer editing them too, lol! But historically, the ones where I blather on have always gotten more views. I will continue to try to put up some of each!! Thanks for being here!!
Thumbs-up host, beautiful work❤
Thanks a million!
Amazing 😍💖👏💕
I'm glad you like it
@@LisaGolemArt 🌹🌹🤗❤
I was very OCD with this one getting the music and the visuals to match. That's fun for me, but time consuming. Let me know if you think it improves your viewing experience, or if it's just a big waste of my time, lol!!!
Love the colours
Thanks, Lisa. Not my typical, lol! But really glittery too!!
A new adventure with every pour!
You betcha!!
Not a fan of the music playing..thanks for the share on the painting
This was one of my earlier videos. Before I had learned many things, lol. Hopefully the newer ones are better... either music or talking now, never both. And I now get my music on epidemic sound site which I subscribe to, so I think you would enjoy the newer videos. Thanks for watching!
Beautiful!
Thanks!
Wow wow wow - I am soooooo gonna try this!! Love the skin idea too!!! ❤️🙌
Thanks! I want to do it more too so I get better at the process. Who doesn’t love a beach too!!
Cell activator! 😂 I believe that's the word you were looking for. Another way to create beautiful cells without using silicon is by using Australian floetrol and Amsterdam paint roughly 3 to one. I love watching you though! You're a gem! ❤ Keep up the good work!
Haha, you are so right. That is what happens when you are over 60 I guess... the brain just sometimes doesn't work! I know about Australian floetrol, but just can't afford to buy it here in Canada. Someday when I'm rich and famous maybe. I just go through so much of the stuff!! It would be an interesting experiment to try using just Amsterdam paint with the American floetrol and see if that makes a difference at all though! For me, the silicone is just an easy solution to get cells how I want them and where I want them. Thanks for being here and for your kind comment!!
@@LisaGolemArt I should have watched the video until the end before commenting to be honest, because then I could have told you just how BEAUTIFUL the end results were! I was taken back! You KILLED it! The hummingbird with the horn....oh my gosh....and the top matched the bottom so well! It was very inspiring. I really do love watching you and your work is beautiful! Thank you for sharing it with us! ♥️ You have a new fan here!!
@@Eatsleepart Wow, thanks! It's part of a series I did for a local exhibition. I've just recently been trying to incorporate pours into larger works and it's really fun, but really challenging too. :) Thanks for being here! Glad to meet you!
@@Eatsleepart I noticed you don't have videos on your channel yet. Where can I see your work?

Wow so interesting!
Thanks for being here! Yes, pouring is quite fascinating... so many different ways to do it!!
Such a cool technique! I love the final product 😍

Just wanted to say a heartfelt thanks to those of you that indulged my creative musical journey --and especially if you watched this to the end and engaged with the meaning behind the works. Yeah but I want to know what that purple is that you have on your background I want to know what that sparkly purple is That's why people tell us the paint colors
Well done!
Love the colors. I’m in Mississippi and have been pouring paints for five years! I really enjoy doing this. ❤
Welcome to my wee channel! Great to meet a fellow pour addict! It's so much fun, isn't it?
🌹
Did you put silicone in each color or how do you get all those cells?
I put silicone in the darker 3 colours and stirred gently. I find in all the colours is too much.
So many colors too!
Yes, the abstract painting I'm working on is the theme of spring and new life... so I wanted all the colours in this one! The challenge was not ending up with any muddy colours!
Hello Lisa ❤. So great to see you again 😀. Thank you for this awesome pour presentation. Fantastic the wag the colours blend like that. Super well done 👏✔. I hope everything is going well in Your Life 🌹💕🙏🥰. Mark Bensette Aux Bois 🇨🇦.
