@joaorodrigues-dy9rm I'm with you bud. I just gave my honest first impressions of the car out of box. I build WL from scratch as racers. Possibly the only person on RUclips that can use them on track and clay to actually compete. This honestly wasn't a knock on Wl or Rlaarlo it was a direct jab at the price gouging. It came out at $150 then shot up to $300 out of know where. So to keep these affordable for the same starter enthusiasts, I said what no one else will because I pay for my own cars. After this video was made the dropped the price but now includ a crap controller. I did make a follow up video of this same car with correct upgrades, like esc , pinion and slipper adjustments. Definitely made a big difference and I even say it's my best driving WL that I had at the moment, just needed some tuning. So my argument here was price per value. These are not $300 cars and they have corrected the price due to this video. Now they are $160-$200 where they should be. Do you agree?

@@ixclusiverc yeah your the first youtuber who says anything negative about rlaarlo and i do apreciate that you give an honest opinion, because has a buyer it sucks wasting money on something that is going to break easily. I think rlaarlo is in some way mix in with wl toys, it produces more expensive cars made out of "carbon fiber" and have supposedly better customer service. But i really like wl toys, they are very good and fun for the money, other brands will happily charge you 300/400 dollars more for their products, they may be better, but not 4x better, its just greedy. I actually liked your video because its the only one being imparcial, but then again you are comparing it with your thousands rc cars😅, i think🙂✌️

@PowerPedal0000 52v battery should work, but I haven't tried it yet. 52v 20ah 40amps would be the size you would want to run. Controllers are tricky because most of them are specific to certain lcd screens and throttles. Bac855 would be a good choice if you want to keep it hidden in the stock box. To be honest stock with all the settings turned up are completely fine. Ride it first Dnm burner is a common shock, but you will need bushings to keep it snug. Front shock there are only 2 options that I found same manufacturer, just different names and one is longer. Get the shorter one. Ebay or express Don't rush it because you will make mistakes like I did. Good luck with your build.

@corybradley1126 this is where I'm at with power.... I fried my screen the first time I ordered my lights. I reordered another screen and controller just in case. The controller sent is slightly different in programming and wires. Take off is smooth with no stutter but at 20mph stutters ,with a quick release then throttle get up to 33mph. The older controller has slight cog on take off but feels a little better with torque range and doesn't stutter at 20mph or anywhere besides take off. On that original I took it apart to shunt mod. I started the process but haven't installed it yet Or I keep the newr controller and go 52v. I'm stuck on which way to go on this. If I go 52v will I loose all my lighting? What are your thoughts on my situation?

@roadstar499 your absolutely correct. I just ran it out of the box to see what the hype was at the time. I did make several changes and suggest the same for your WL. Stock esc are designed for a beginner in mind. It has a long dead spot in the trigger and a delay in acceleration. Changing this will give you full control. Transmitter does not have a dual rate, so Changing terrain makes it difficult to avoid spinning. The Dumbo TX this car came with is actually very nice. Tires are very important for grip and the wltoys tire are awesome but if you can remove them and install on a rim with a +5 or +6 offset on the 1/12, you will like it much better.

@roadstar499 everything is dual rate adjusted. I definitely try to set end points to save the servo if available on tx/rx setup. On carpet, you don't have time to be worried. Everything is really quick actions/ reactions. Definitely feel a rush when hitting constant lap after lap. How small are the planes you fly?

500 to 1000 mm wing span..some even smaller..mostly hand toss delta wings..only thing that has improved is my repair skills,flying is actually worse lol.i needed a break from it..i built built my first rc 10 buggy almost 40 years ago..rc has really gotten advanced.

@roadstar499 yes I would say they drive close when set up correctly. The sway bars are the same for the lc and wl cars but lc comes with 3 bar hardness. Tires definitely made the most noticeable difference in control.

@roadstar499 I have a maxed out A959 for my track. It ok but not as good as this new version. I feel like the a959 was only made for street flat driving with a buggy body. I did have to change all the linkages and no servo saver to get it to run straight. Gears strip way to easily on this car(steel) On the 184016 I managed to fit a 144001 servo saver by shaving the servo mount just enough to squeeze the spring style saver in. Took a little work, but definitely possible.

Yes your track is pretty hard core and cars need to be very durable to handle it long term...Great job!

@madsrcbuggy not going to lie I was expecting so much more when I got there, but it was fun. My understanding is they are going to change it soon. I definitely prefer carpet over clay . I wish I had more room for a bigger track. 😂

@@freemanwu3018 a reason I couldn't is because all my jumps were and are still falling apart from all the outdoor conditions. I had to rebuild a lot just to get this to work. Worth it but a pain

@jeremybeck517 The only way to put on BMX grips is need to change to a thumb throttle. This is a full twist, so dirt bike grips would be the best option.

@nestoramadoranonuevo7466 I'm 250lbs & live next to dirt bike trails on a mountain and street hills everywhere. My average speed is 20mph uphill. No pedaling.

@maxthunder2 ill definitely try no sway bars next time. Is there a wing you would recommend or just any 1/10 buggy wing? On the slicks, what should I be looking for touring slicks? Do you run your cars low or medium ride height?

@@ixclusiverc any 10th scale race buggy wing should be fine. Try to get the wing as close to the shock Tower as you can I without affecting the shock movement. the touring car tires the 32 shore rating. Contact makes good tires. The lower the shore rating the softer the tire. The higher the shore rating is the harder the tire is. For the right height yeah probably medium.

@edwardyoung5703 Throne handlebars by 2 wheel gang 4pc bars and box 53mm forward stem. There is a rise limit because of the brake lines. What I had to do was cut the zip tie and run that line above the crank bb spindle. Only need to remove the pedal. No bars above 6" will work.

@brandonwynn9801 is there a form tire you like specifically? Never tried foams before I'll pick some up.

Contact, BSR, Exceed all make good foams. They're found on ebay, Amazon, amain, horizon... they will stick to the ground. Oh and glad you're back on the tube. I still enjoy my wltoys among my bigger name brand trucks

@Brianelectrify there was no comparison mentioned, although It is the same bike as the ghostcat f1. I'm showing crank length, signal speed conversion, BMX bars, hi/low beam headlight, inverted mirrors, and rear spring upgrade. All things that could help a taller rider with comfort and safety. 48v 1500w is not low torque. Can a super 73 go 20+ uphill or 34mph on flat ground?

@felixvalvaneda2285 🙌 I'm very interested to hear about your upgrades. If you go 52v, what controller are you thinking about? Sabvoton are medium size and needs to be bolted under the seat. I was also considering the bac855 as that one is small enough to fit into the stock crotroller compartment. I did get an extra controller from akez to possibly try to shunt mod the stock one. What are your thoughts, my man?

@madsrcbuggy that wall sucks, I like the triple, but the rest of the track is too simple. I was able to make 5 more videos from this one trip. I'll post one day. Some are really bad because I left all the tires I use for carpet.... bad idea.

@madsrcbuggy mine was originally brushedI 2445 5600 kv motor is a direct swap with pinion size. That's what this was originally. Now that I changed it to slipper and 2845, I don't really care for it as much. I think I might go back to non slipper again. Oh, I literally cut out 3 minutes on not being able to get out of the corner, doing donuts over and over 🤣 definitely challenging to drive

@jhsumatt so the stock plastic shocks with that spring worked great for me. This new set up with metal stock lcracing shocks are way to stiff. That's a good idea i'll change the springs out back to the softer ones.

@maxthunder2 the emb-t had clay tires with wd40. The emb1 has some balding stock tires with wd40. I have another video that I'll release tomorrow running a car with carpet tires. That car was a nightmare to drive. Are bald tires just as good as slicks? I honestly don't know too much about clay.

@@ixclusiverc WD-40 and simple green are good Tire sauce so that's already a good step. Bald tires are good that's one way to make Slicks. You take clay track tires sand them down until they're bald and then they're good to go. Now you can do this with your RTR or any tires for that matter they just have to be slicks. I know there's other stuff people did but that's what I basically did. But if you don't want to do all that try to find some on road touring car tires and try that. That size tire works with these LC racing cars. Now I never tried doing that because I'm nowhere near a clay track anymore. But I figure it's worth a shot. I also have to mention that when you do this to your tire if you decide to make a slick it has a very short life span. You can feel it when it starts to not work so be sure to make a bunch.

That's hydro dip from the factory. I have seen a wrapped case looks good but I'm sure it's hard to do. If you do probably want to do a template cut first, anything non stick . Make some mistakes, then try the carbon.
