This is great. This reminds me, @MooshuMusic and @hiddenboy007 are working on a mod for Sonic 3 AIR that makes every music track sound like ones from Pocket Adventure. I just felt like it was worth mentioning because I think like you should help them with the project, as this is already shows you can do a great job with the Neo Geo sound chip.

I think the only issue in this cover is the overbearing snare being used as much and as loudly as the original. It's definitely part of what makes the sonic 4 music as grading as it is to me.
