I remember when I lived In Rome for almost 2 yrs ,passing the Castel Sant Angelo in the evening when a ,ocal friend pointed out that the group of females were trans prostitutes.They used to " work there" I was young and naive then, and couldn't understand wwhat they were .Had never heard of them in the uk at that time
I have always lived in Rome and have never seen prostitutes in Castel Sant'Angelo. Surely there are but in more external areas than the historic centre.
@RomaAeternaWalks They were there ,but I'm talking 1969 when 5here were many hippies passing through less tourists .young americans avoiding the vietnam war ,and even a cult group ,dressed completely in black with large german shepherd dogs ,living near piazza navona. A completely different scene than now, but an interesting one
It is so atmospheric at this time .I am q night owl, so can stay awake .see all the amazing sights lit up , then sleep

Roma una città bellissima , strade pulite in centro ma le strade della periferia abbandonate sporche piena di immondizia non si può passare nemmeno nei marciapiedi 😮😮
