Yeah we need todo something quick to make this kind of illegal while there are still a few cars like this remaining. Because people are just morons that would throw to trash anything to get for example " the conversion prime " ( here in France ) . This evening I saw a Renault 4 from the sixties ( tin grille ) very nice paint patina original licence plates painted on the body directly, I think it s a L ( like luxury? Version ) , it has chrome door handles and chrome guard behind the door handles, and it's going to destruction for these stupid primes.

For someone with no knowledge of cars that rusty sill would of been enough to scrap it,it's a shame those lovely seats are going to get ruined now you've removed the sunroof.

I suspect this may have got junked due to problems with the ZF 4-speed auto box or, maybe, issues with the traditionally rubbish factory auto choke carburettor. I don't imagine the old usual cure Weber conversion kit is still available.

The thing on the dash with the metal pins is an old fob type immobiliser. Sad to say but back in 1999 my mate had a decent ‘85 mk1 BX 16TRS. An engine mount failed which made it vibrate under hard acceleration. He didn’t want to spend money fixing it but no one wanted it. We ended up driving it around east London scrappies and even they didn’t want it. Eventually he found a breaker who took the car. Such a shame for a running, driving car to be scrapped. It was quite rare even back then😢

If I didn't live and work in and around a stupid ULEZ zone I would have a citroen of that age any day! People slag citroen off.. But see in 20+ years time you see how many of the current models of any make still start up like that car did having been left for scrap! Brilliant!!!

It must cost you some money is storage with so many projects you have and to drive that back after 4 years being stood is crazy and dangerous and even worse looking like that you have a hoarding problem do any of the cars you have get back on the road one car for me is enough for me as mine is 20 year old ford focus even being very low mileage still keeps me bissy and I can do everything including welding when it needs it but not for a few years yet luckily

The big old yellow commer was originally green and last tax ran out on 1st August 1999

I have relatives who live on Jersey, is buying a car from Jersey classed as an import as Most of the cars will have come from the mainland. Mileage should be super low . Jersey is 14 miles in length by 6 miles acoss. Its possible to drive away round the island in about 40mins.

Probably one of the most flamboyant of the big Citroens, complicated and risky as hell, but so appealing in many ways as a left field choice.

Sorry but the C6 might have nice interior door panels, but man, that really is one of the worst looking cars, its ugly from every angle on the outside, 😂

So can you name a car manufacturer from this era, who gave a toss about rust? Why keep running them down, they were no worse than any other car company at the time. Japanese cars might have had solid reliable engines, but that didn't matter, they dissolved in front of your eyes.
