Holiday Snowstorm Hits Home Tiki Bar!
Просмотров 2,9 тыс.3 года назад
We've had our first snow flurries of the season in Atlanta and so I put together this new snow storm scene for the Monkey Room! The chilly experience includes an interactive snowstorm blowing through the porthole, automated lights, wind, and an interruption of the music by the strong north winds.
Fully Automated Volcano in my Home Tiki Bar!

Instagram: Craft_Tiki Guests of the Monkey Room home tiki bar tremble at the sudden eruption of a volcano! The volcano can erupt randomly or at a press of a button from an iPhone widget. The graphics and rendering were created using C and Unreal Engine 4. The audio supports Apple Airplay and is mixed in real-time with AHK scripts. I wrote an API for the Philips Hue system and UE4, which allows ...

Follow craft_tiki on Instagram to see more from the Monkey Room home tiki bar! I had one requirement when starting out building a home tiki room - it must have a rain storm. While it’s not quite the same as actually being in the room, here’s a video of it in action. The storm can come randomly or at a press of a button from an iPhone widget. As I was watching this video, after the lights went out in the video the lights in my house flickered (there is a real storm outside here) and it startled me haha. Great ambiance!

Very Inspiring ! I love that. As a programmer and a Tiki fan, I'm trying to do the same kind of thing for my Tiki Backyard. Have already written commands to synchronize my govee strip (through their api), but I'm very curious about how you spread aromatics, went to the magic Candle website and didn't found anything. Any suggestion about the gear you use ? thanks

I found out a way to do this without having any knowledge of programming, etc., etc. The video loop can be created by using a Sprite mp4 controller, which has the default video running on a continuous loop. When triggered, the looped video is replaced by a second video which can be the volcano, thunderstorm, snowstorm scene, etc. The second video is triggered by a Light-o-Rama miniDirector. This device is the master trigger that triggers the Sprite video and plays the sound .mp3 from a show program that you create that synchronizes to lights and other effects through use of the Light-o-Rama 16 channel controller. The show program is created by using the Light-o-Rama included software, which is similar in look to an Excel file, where it is easy to create, just time consuming based upon the length of the audio file and number of channels you want to use. This probably sounds complicated, but it would actually be very straight forward to set up. I already have the 16 channel controllers from previous Christmas Displays, I would just need the Sprite and miniDirector to incorporate the video aspect. I will definitely be doing this when I move to a different house and set up the TikiBar. Craft Tiki has created the ultimate Tiki Bar effect. I could envision having a volcano wall with lights and ultrasonic fogger hooked up to the controller to simulate real lava flowing. Could make a special box with a fan and ignitor hooked up to matches that would ignite from a controller to give that real sulfur smell. Oh, the possibilities are crazy.
