The Fast show - Black!
I found this video hard to find (got this off myspace video!), so I thought I'd upload it.
This content is obviously not mine and is owned by the BBC.

I don't understand why for so many years no one posted all of Johnny's adventures in one video from the beginning to the end
😂😂😂😂😂😂this would trigger so many people in 2024😂
What’s for tea tonight mother? Shadows and lies… on toast? 😂😂😂😂
It's hard to forget the legacy and value in the history of British culture, of this genius artist. More profound than Colonel Kurtz, it's very hard not to laugh at this.
It’s on my YT feed yet again… and of course I had to watch it and still find as funny as ever. Did Charlie smd Arabella ad-lib this as it has that feel.
youtube's white background is rather bright i'll just put the dark mode on... it's almost......
Three Men, Two Men, One Man and his Dog WENT to mow a meadow 😂
Absolutely the best one line my eyes are pies and yours are lies genius
I don't know how anyone can keep a straight face around that actor. Don't know his name, but he's bloody hilarious 😂
I think Arabella is just brilliant in this when she's trying to distract him from the word black
Just like your average daily mail or GB news reader, but with the word 'dinghies' instead.
There's something hilarious about people losing their s%#t 😆😆
painters using the colour //////// always a good sign.
Know how you feel Johnny
I used to laugh at this but never fully understood it. Until a few years later I started to suffer from depression. Not something I get much now I have found a cure....Grandchildren. Now I find it even funnier than before. The fast show was brilliant.
But ...his hat is black 😂
What Trotsky did in exile I guess.
How many pictures Johnny made??
😂😂
Loved this era of my life! ❤
My daughter and I used to love this. We'd completely bamboozle my sister by saying "Black, black! It's all black!" Then I'd say "My eyes are pies! And yours are lies!" And my daughter would do lobster hands and say "Into the chasm of clams". And my sister was like "what are you two even on about?" Ah, the mother and daughter bond. I miss it.
Why oh why do I find this character/sketch so damned funny? Depressive Johnny and his companion out on a field trip painting and the inevitable regressive manic episode...😲😆😅🤣😂
This was one of the better sketches they did, ridiculously funny! Had me in tears!🤣😂🤣😂
She keeps his madness alive and thriving. She is controlling, enabling him. " time to go home Johnny"....🤣🤣
They're here..they're here..🤣🤣
They're here, they're here, they've landed on the pier..... Definitely happening daily on our coasts now and it's very black
Mad as Swiss cheese.
Inspired by the rolling stones "paint it black"
I watched an interview with Charlie Higson. He told that Arabella Weir never knew what was about to happen, her job was to keep straight face.
of course, it would probably be censored for being 'racist' in cancel culture 2022! Guess what race I am.........?
The best part was when he said black
Bloody brilliant! 😂😂😂
''my eyes are pies and yours are all lies'' and ''chasm of clams'' interestingly enough are in some poems of aliester crowley. Great stuff!
Chasm.... of clams? 🤣
I wonder if Mr Higson was ad-libbing Johnny's demented ramblings? Absolute genius.
I think I met them somewhere in the cotswolds. Mad as a box of frogs
OH my god - this is still just as funny now, amazing show
at least johnny has his mental issues out in the open. he's probably really happy at the end of each fit
Always waiting for the trigger, and the way she always tries to steer him away! 🤣🤣🤣
Their hair, they're here, landed on the peer.
We crawl on our knees to our doom!
A. Was this character inspired by a real life person? B. How did he exit his episodes of psychosis?
A. Not really, no. The idea was a bland middle-of-the-road hobbyist having the heart and soul of a tortured genius like Van Gogh. B. One sketch has Arabella Weir's character preparing a large syringe to sedate him, so probably that.
I'm sure I saw a daytime art/painting show on TV in this era where one of the hosts would focus in on the dark/black spaces just a *little* too much. Wish I could remember what it was.
BLACK !!!!!!!!!! . . . . 😆😆😆😆😆😆
My mother went to an adult education centre and there was a painter called Johnny, he looked like him and he sounded like him but he did not act like him when he thought about the colour black.
I have no vagina.
You feed me pins….. PINS….
BLACKETY BLACK ...GOD THE BBC WOULD HAVE A FIELD DAY ...CANT IMAGINE TERRY WOGAN STINKING OF BISTO??? THOUGH..🤗🧐✋
Bet he's not a fan of Sir Anish Kapoor
Isn't his hat black
"They put me in the cellar and feed me pins" was one of Johnny's best ever lines.
I'm trying to find that one....
