MGC manufacturing requirements affect detail drawings
Просмотров 4052 года назад
In this video some background is given as to how some components can be manufactured. We also discuss how the manufacturing processes effects the part geometry and we also mention secondary manufacturing processes that can be used to achieve the final desired part features. We also discuss sectional views including a web feature and how to most appropriately draw this feature in a detail drawing.

Love your explanations.
🤩
awesome explanation!
Thank you Mom
You blessed my left ear
LOL
helpful information. Thank you
Buen video gracias!
Bolts and nuts are only useful if you can get to both sides of the materials you are joining. Bolts are similar to machine screws.
Thank you Riaan
Jissie Riaan het mooi hande
Haha, dankie! die stem is ook bietjie anders in hierdie video.
Good teacher
can you please name the textbook that you are using?
Good day, It is only available in hard copy, in South Africa. We use it for our course that we present at the University of Pretoria. Here is a link: www.wizebooks.co.za/get/9781119923329-custom-graphical-communications
is that lesson from second class of mechanical engineering college?
This class is for first year, first term engineering students at the University of Pretoria, South Africa
thank you sir .. I'm Iraqi citizen and my language in English is weak .I hope you can understand My writing....I had been taken engineering drawing before thirty years in baghdad university college of engineering and my drawing sheets were losted since 1992 when I was graduated and I remember that we were study in second year of college that kind of engineering drawing
@@عليعلي-ط9ج8ظ I understand it perfectly, it is good enough :) Wow, that is quite a while ago. It is good to see that you still have interest in that field. Have a blessed day. Kind regards from South Africa
from the bottom view are we not supposed to see the top horizontal part with the semi arc
The bottom view is a partial bottom view because we use it to only show the bottom plane. The arc in the top is shown in a separate partial view. This is the simplest way to show the features.
Sir do you still check your comment section even after 4 years?
Is it necessary to indicate hidden detail for the circles when the other views explain them clearly?
The hidden detail in this example is used to show that the vertical holes go all the way through, which is not visible by looking at the other views. The horisontal hidden detail line shown in the right view is just for clarity
You contradict yourself.
This is great! Thank you
thank you for your service 😔🫡 (i have an engineering test)
Engineering assembling drawing is and was always my favorite, and has been useful for me in my journey in the Automotive Engineering assembling and disassembling of parts. Of which I attribute to the knowledge learnt from this class
Thank you for the kind comment, it is appreciated. Kind regards R Meeser :)

for the first sectioning you didnt line out the behind circle…
Second from Ghana 🇬🇭
its nice but if give add voice 🥰
How are you sir?there's no lectures of drawing engineering?why ?
Thank you very much.
i love your video
Ma'am , there's no problem with the drawing of part 1. It's perfectly drawn in First Angle projection from the left-hand side.
Thank you sir:)
Can you give lessons of engineering drawing for the second class of mechanical engineering?
Very good ..the lecture is very useful

Mam first comment from Nepal 🇳🇵🇳🇵
This is amazing ma!!
Hello sir peace upon you .iwish you are all right. Sir there's no videos about the Mrs who teaching drawing assembly because she explained on difficult assembly drawing. Please sir can you offer more videos belonged to that mrs 🙏
Good day, Thank you for the comment. She does not work with us directly anymore, and all the videos that she made have been uploaded already. Kind regards
@@riaanmeeser4755 ok sir can you tell me where did she works now?which channel she works with it ?or any address belonged to her work?I'm mechanical engineer and I had been lost my drawing sheets so I don't remember my drawings which I plotted in the college. University of baghdad and I needed it so much in my work in maintenance of pumps in workshops of the company. Your lectures are very useful sir it had been returned my memory in engineering drawing but that mrs had been explained ditticult assembly drawings .please sir can you also communicate with her and tell her our respect and our greetings to her 🙏 💜 ❤. Thank you sir for your forgiveness to wasting your time God bless you 😊
The videos posted here were mainly as additional material for our students who are primarily taught in class by ourselves at the University of Pretoria, South Africa, so that is why the examples here are somewhat limited. We also can not post a video for all of our assignments as that would mean that we can not use those for assessment purposes in future. The person who made these videos is still with our university, but has moved to a different department, so she is no longer able to make these types of videos. I will send her your compliments when I see her again :) Kindest regards
@@riaanmeeser4755 thank you very much sir and I thank God to give the opportunity to talk with you sir .please sir don't forget to tell my greetings to our genius Mrs professor..
sir can you please do the 2016 one its almost the same but different somewhere and lm failing to draw it
Are there another drawings sir ?your channel is very useful
This the first time I see that magnificent performance
Good day ms. Can send more please
Thank you mrs.
Your lessons are very useful honestly. Can you sent more please miss
Very good explanation
tried the swept boss more then 7 times and it still has errors
It might be due to the cross section sketch being open or not a flat sketch, or it can be due to the profile intersecting itself. It can also happen if the profile and the path lie in the same plane, in which case no volume will be created when sweeping, causing an error. Use more basic sketches for profile and path, and make sure they are not in the same plane and see if it helps.
You didn't send more drawing assembly. Please can you send more?
Good
Very good
Are you teaching in college miss?
These lectures were presented to first year engineering students at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. Dr. Smith, who did these videos, has moved to a different department
