I would say that Apple is pretty nefarious. From either working with Foxcon to produce iPhone with slave labour to lower costs or forcing customers to pay full price for old devices. The iPhone SE is a two year device that is still selling for full retail price when it was released. From time to time Apple does that for other products. The Macbook Air M1 stayed at $999 when the M2 was released but the newer M2 increased the price to $1,200 to justifiy keeping the M1 at full price. Not to mention Apple is so stingy on base hardware configurations. The base iPhone barely got a bump in based storage from 64GB to 128GB in 2021. Apple is always late to bumping up specs compared to the rest of the industry. The base RAM on Macbooks have been 8GB since 2012 I believe. Only with rumors of the upcoming M4 mac will we get 16GB for Apple Intelligence. On a side note no other manufactures force their customer to pay $30 more for an unlocked phone.

Congratulations Logan. You managed to keep me watching for an hour; which is a great credit to you. I normally last no longer than 10 minutes. So well done. I am also very interested in web design and marketing and visuals affecting the buying process. So Here’s a couple of thoughts: Apple have not changed the “scribble” advertising front graphic. Only the colour. So even though this new “iPad 7” device is a significant move up to Apple Intelligence, it doesn’t get a complete makeover. The multicoloured layered text is very reminiscent of Instagram. The Italic “creativity” is an image but if you select the text higher and lower (above and below) you will get the word that is written as an image. Apple are great copywriters. And they love alliteration such as personal, private powerful. With your camera comment, it was more to do with the PiP because the video that’s showing as an example also has a person in the bottom left-hand corner talking. I believe the third dot in the lens camera section is the microphones. Maybe they have kept the camera in portrait mode (same as the iPhone) because of social media preference. And best of all, this new iPad 7 is actually cheaper (at least in Australia) than the previous 6th generation. Amazing. Finally, I’ve noticed that all Apple staff use the iPad Mini in store to check you in for an appointment. 🙂

Nice review. Just yesterday, I bought the iPad Mini from an Apple store in Sydney. I had heard rumours from of a new iPad mini on its way and asked about it - but was told that they hadn't heard anything - which is the usual Apple staff response. So this morning, I get an email from the very up-to-date site "Mac Daily News" and saw this. OMG I'm so lucky I can now return the iPad mini I bought and get the refreshed version that will do for for many years 🍀🍀🍀🍀
