Cube Audio Jazzon v2, Audio Note Oto Line SE signature, Lampizator Atlantic 2 TRP, Ansuz Mainz8 C3
This is the first video with the Ansuz Mainz8 C3 power filter added. I must say the sound changed drastically with this filter, everything find their place, sound is smooth, clear, calm and grounded, blackground is amazing, better layering, loss of almost all the his in harshness. This will further improve when changing the still el-cheapo Rpi3 streamer with Digione hat and linear psu with something adequate. Source is Tidal. Cables are custom made with Vbs pure copper.

Elekit 8200r vs Yamamoto
Elekit 8200 really is an incredible gadget. I even didn't have the Lundahl transformers. Though I upgraded it with other parts which Hificollective has like a package on their website. And of course if you add some good nos 6l6g (like Fivre, Rca or National Union), the sound is gorgeous. Yamamoto is very clear, precise, more mature, more high endish... But, for the full range drivers, I believe it need s a good fuller sounding (active) preamp. It lacks bass a little, so I find more overall pleasing sound with Elekit, but of course in this situation with Coral open baffles. But this is just because of fuller sound, more bottom extended. Elekit didn't have such a clarity and space etc., but there are + in - everytime. Yamamoto is better, but it has to be perfectly implemented to show it's great potencial. Those 2W feel a lot more, but still are challenging.
Oke. I think the Elekit go good on my Audio Note AN/E. 98db@@gasperhabjanic2115
@@martinlens7592 I know Troels Gravessen measured AN speakers and they are more like 92db by average or something, it depends which impedance they measure. Still, Elekit would be ok, but put it on pentode mode, it's more grippy. I used triode first, then UL, but ended in pentode mode.
@gasperhabjanic2115 Nice to hear. The Audio Note AN/E. Are a HE version

I’ve noticed you went from Soul Supremes to the Jazzon… I’m eyeing either the Soul VI or Jazzon at the moment. Any comments going from the Zu sound to the Cube? From the vids, the Zu seems a little brighter on the top end(in a good way) Cheers
Hey. Yes, I've had 5 pairs of Zu, incl. Druiv IV and V, Omen 1 and 2, the last were Soul Supreme. The Cubes have more oomph, don't know if they go lower, but they are more full, they can shake the room. They also can go very high, but they are not so "hot" on top, which is ok, but I was thinking what would a supertweeter bring, like AMT for example, maybe it would relieve some high preasure to the main driver, because it can be a little shouty. But, if you have all perfectly done starting from the source (power), then they are not gonna be shouty :) I'm still looking sometimes at Zu Soul VI, but probably the Cubes are better. My friend has a Nenuphar and it's rocking...
Volume too low to appreciate. 😮
thanks for your comment. It was quite high when recording, probably my Iphone's guilt (no special mic used), but if you use headphones it's just ok...
What's the main differences in sound with puritan?
Marvellous combination.
In my opinion weak point are zu audio.
Hey, my comments won't show up. I am interested and would like photos!
I added my contact adress under desription..
What dac are you using that is pcm63 in nos? All my dacs are pcm63 but all are 8x oversampling. I can’t find any NOS
Hey. This dac was built with Abbas Audio modules (2 of them), because I don't know if any stock non-os pcm63 exist... I'm not using it anymore, so if you want it, I can send you some pictures etc. Abbas uses great materials, some nos aswell, allen bradley etc. I have a Lampizator now, but it's not night and day, actualy it's hard to value this pcm63, could easily say it's worth 5k, because there's no comparison. It's all about musicality, big sound, not so much about the details and the nuances, not typical highend sound, but probably you know what I'm talking about.. :)

It has been said that the synergy of the, same, family - is the, “ truest religion. ” However ; I must say that your, chosen, ensemble and decor are, quite, impressive. Thanks, for sharing. 🍺
Thanks man for this kind words which are of course true. It took quite some time and I'm stil not there, but this is the start of the first real enjoyment in listening and not just skipping the tracks.. Cheers
Great sound. What was your impression of the Holton One Zero One R3? It sounds good and looks like good value/sound quality? You ultimately changed to a different amp? Thanks!
Very nice! Thanks for sharing.
Did you like the druid?
Yes, they are very (!) good speakers.. but.. there is always a "but" :) My experience is that they need a big(er) room or in other words you need to listen to them from longer distance then other speakers. I listen to them from not more then 3m and it was not enough, because the drivers are quite high and I had a feeling that the sound is above me so I was raising the head all the time. But, beside that, they are super fast, agile, tight, more then Soul Supreme which I have now, more high-endish I would say.
Great live song, the zus really bring you there. Elekit is a beautiful match as well 👍
Elekit sounds good
Sweet
What's the name of that song also luv the set up

Hi, what is your opinion of the elekit 8200r with the Klipsch Heresys? Does the elekit have enough power for them and did it increase the soundstage? Im planning on building one and I have modded Klipsch Heresy II's . Supposedly my speakers sound thier best with tubes. I also own preamp tu 8500r that i currently use with an Akitika GT 102 amp kit. Anyway I'd appreciate your thoughts and opinions on the elekit.
you should try the original song by Bob Dylan, amazing song and album
what do you think of the 3wc-12? is this for you a loudspeaker superior to heresy?
Many would say it's superior, it's more linear, more complete, on the paper it's perfect speaker. I tried it with single ended tubes, A class Sugden and this Unison hybrid. I think they need some more power, though they are quite sensitive speakers. BUT, I prefer Heresy :) They are more fun, more open, live, pure, easier to drive with tubes (if this is your choice of amplfication). But don't look on the paper. But, this is of course me. I like full range, horns, hih sensitivity etc., I don't like conventional speakers. Most of them are boring..
I have the exact same setup for a short while. I found the Zu dirty weekend did not work with my 8200 with Mundoff and Lundhal upgrade. I returned the Zu. I used my 8200 with LS3/5a as near field and it is amazing.
Really? I have Mundorfs aswell, but not the Lundahl upgrade.. Is it worth it what do you think? Meanwhile I tried many NOS 6L6 tubes and I must say the NOS stuff is really extra magic. Try to get 6L6G with ST glass and grey coat and pair this with RCA clear tops 5814, this combination is the best... With other 6L6s the RCA clear tops are not the most winning combo, so I find RCA black plate triple mica much better, but with 6L6G (I have Fivre and National Union) it's the best.
@@gasperhabjanic2115 installing the Lundhal opt will refine the sound. I have been using 8600 as my main amp for a while now. 8200 is my desktop amp and I am looking for a small near field speaker for it. So I have stopped investing time and money on the tube for the 8200. Does your zu speaker have Claritycap ?
@@coolpkduck I built a 8600 aswell, but it's at my friend's for a long time so I didn't compare it well. Meanwhile I built a Yamamoto a08s (45 tube) and I think it's better in some ways then 300B, but it has only 2 watts obviously. I don't have ZUs anymore though I'm sure I'll buy DW6 some day. I owned 4 pairs (Omen 1, Druid IV, Omen DW, Druiv V). Yes, the DW had a Clarity Cap MR, I upgrade it by myself.
interesting
my hand shaked couple of seconds because of such a good sound
Why Video is Wobbly?
What stands are the speakers on? Does it help with boomy basS?
I didn't have so much trouble with boomy bass. These are rock-granite plates and I think it helped a little bit. I had them quite opened, you see there is about 3cm gap between the plates and the speakers. The bass was more opened and more "free" and sometimes a little bit boomy (at some frequencies), but if I closed the gap to just 1cm or less, the bass was more tight, and there was less of it. So it depends what you like and how much impact it has in the room they are placed.
ᵖʳᵒᵐᵒˢᵐ 😢
Nice! No replacement for displacement.
Your right size maters.
Hey how is the Elekit TU8200R do you still like it? Yo think there is anything that can compare in this price range? I did lots of reserach and it looks like this is great bang for the buck :) Did you ever try their TU8600R ? Is there anyway i could contact you as i have few more questions :) Thank you.
Hey. I like 8200R a lot! I doubt there's anything that can compare with it in this price range. I upgrade it with Takman resistors and Mundorf coupling caps and I bought quite some NOS 6l6 tubes, RCA black plate, Fivre 6l6g etc, Rca 807 and ecc82s aswell... Soon I'll upgrade the output trafos with Lundhals too. It's really a great amp. It doesn't have a special caracter, maybe it lacks some romantics.. Of course you should have some 93db+ speakers. I owned Druid V and it was great, now I have a Klipsch Heresy 3 and it's even better :) Regarding TU-8600R, I built it and it's a great amp aswell. I have a model with Lundhals trafos. It's more slow and romantic amp, it's hard actually to compare it with 8200R, because the tubes are totally different. Sure contact me: ghabjanic at gmail dot com
@@gasperhabjanic2115 Just sent you an email ;) Would also great if you could make video where you compare TU8200 and TU8600/TU8900
Never liked Zu speakers, but this one is amazing.
Sounds Good, didn't know they came in black. Really like how it matches your console. Nice. was thinking of getting them. Do you still have them and what are your thoughts? do you run a sub?
Hey. Actually they didn't come in black. I give those parts to a company who makes anodizations. It came out awesome. I still have them. I bought a Zu Druid V after that, but they need a bigger room, so I sold them (Druids). Omens are not so sensible to room positioning and they sound very good whatever the amplifier is. If you want I can sell them, because I'm buiding some Troels's speakers and I need space. Contact me ghabjanic@gmail.com
@@gasperhabjanic2115 Thanks for the offer. if i decide to go Zu I need to get the Black Ghost finish WAF.. Plus i like the 60 days return policy, what do i have to lose.. Again looking for something lively, high sensitivity, dynamic, good with Rock at an affordable price. Not a big fan of horns except for the Heritage line like the Forte's but they hit above my price point.
I gave it to a company which makes anodization, it came awesome..
How did you get black ring and tweeter guide?
It's just black anodized finish - you can special order it from them. Easy peasy. I almost did it with mine but it does add quite a bit of lead time to getting your speakers. The upper tier finishes and special order add time as they finish the plain vanilla orders first in batches.
This sh sh sound in vocals is as a result of nos dac or zu audio not having tweeter with crossover ?
I don't know exactly whan you mean. The sound of Amy is by default not the most polite, and the Zus do not add any of silkyness etc. They are very pure. Maybe the dac (AD1865) is a little bit "edgy" comparing to TDA1541 or PCM63. Keep also in mind that I recorded with Iphone 6's camera/mic and that we are on youtube.
Sounds great!
BTW, I also use the Elekit 8600 with the Lundahl transformer, that's a great pair. May I ask which Cap are you using in the 8200? I and moving the 8200 as a headphone 1st / computer 2nd amp.
OMG, I think this was my speaker for a month!!! And you know what, I was using the Elekit 8200R to push it too!!! No joke. I return it due to wife complain.
Thanks for sharing. How do you like it(elekit 8200) compare to your luxman I505u?
Elekit is very neutral, airy, fresh, I like it.. but it lacks some of that flow and drive. Luxman has that drive, but I find it somehow a little bit "foggy" and "boring" with ZU, which are very revealing speakers. After Luxman, I find one great amp, from both worlds, it's Pathos Inpol Remix mk1 (10W A class hybrid). Very, very good amp. Great timber, drive, maybe not so resolutive and holographic then full tube (Elekit), but stil top..
Gasper Habjanic Totally agree with you, anything in between the sound characteristics of the two would be the best.
dobro ti špila ;-)
hh tnx, how did you find me? :)
