I have a Silverado with a sliding rear defroster window. I'm going to have to mount my rear camera to the drivers of the window and in between the second and third defroster line. Will this matter much? I realize the field of view will be altered.

I have a 2024 hyundai hybrid plug-in. I was reading that some OBD 2 cables are not compatible with hybrid/electric vehicles. Would this obd 2 cable work? Would running down the battery be a concern? Any suggestions?

This is a old video so i dont know if i will get a reply i cant call the number as im in Australia nor can i find anything to help but im having problems with the cloud. I have the gps and the f200 the shop installed my camera. I can connect to the link app but not the cloud app. It doesn't show my speed on the clips 😢

So it won’t work in parking mode even if my cigarette lighter stays on when the car is shut off??

Hi my son in law installed my thinkware f200 pro . But the front cam only working the rear is not working.what do you think went wrong about the installation?

If one chooses not to hard wire it for parking mode and go the easier route ,does one have the optiom of removing it at night due to high crime areas ? Is there a mount for it on Amazon or something .

So the radar recognizes bigger objects like cars. There will be a lot of cars coming through if you park on a public street. I don't see how the radar module, in this instance, would be any different than normal motion detection.

Thinkware's own branded OBD2 power cable is not compatible with vehicles with Auto Start / Stop

I researched and found that the OBD2 plug that you are showing is not compatible with vehicles with the auto start/stop feature. Just a heads up!

For the permanent hardwire install, rather than tap into the wiring harness wouldn't it be just as easy or easier to go into the fuse box with fuse taps?

At 5:40 when you start to strip wire so you can connect to it..... wouldn't using a instant-tap connector be easier?

Thanks for the info. Do I need to set the dash cam to parking/energy savings every time I park? Or I can set a default and forget about it.

Turn off vpv, install dash cam link, push wifi button on camera, start dash cam link, enter password, should connect. Make sure internet connection to camera is on and connects automatically, also yoir wifi internet connection to NOT connect automaticall. If still does not work, unistall dash cam link and reinstall. Make sure wifi button is presse before you start application. I spent hours and days installing this lousy software on my Samsung S20 ultimate. Dont give up, it will work. If you dont buy your camera from an authorized dealer, whoever that is, thinkers will NOT stand behind there warranty. Good luck. Thinkware FA200 hardwired with rear camera.

Why doesn't the touchscreen work-I suspect It's because I removed the original 332 GB card that came with it and use a higher 256 GB- Could that be why?

Wouldn't it make more sense to do the following INSTEAD: [BEFORE attaching anything to windows] 1. Attach rear camera to cable and attach cable to dashcam 2. Connect the 12v to 12v power to temporarily power up the dashcam 3. Connect dashcam to WIFI and view the VIDEO ON THE CELLPHONE. 4. THEN using the CELLPHONE, align the rear camera so it SHOWS ON THE SCREEN THAT IT'S CORRECTLY LINED UP and STICK camera to rear windshield 5. THEN again viewing thru CELLPHONE VIEWER, align the dashcam so its aligned correctly on the front windshield. 6. THEN you can follow the rest of the steps (hiding rear cable), and hiding front cable OR converting to hardwired setup. To me this seems more smarter because you cannot tell where the camera is showing just by eyeing it on the windshield. If you attached everything and stuck on, if you discovered it was off center, or slightly not-aligned, you would have to pull it off and reattach it.... It's better to use a viewer to actually SEE what exactly the camera will be filming.

If the radar was mounted in the front and the car was hit from the rear, will all cameras turn on and record? 99% of the time when park, front of the car go in first and the rear was exposed. In the video, the rear backup first and the front of the car was exposed.

Forgot to mention can use external battery pack? My use case is just the front+cabin I really need parking mode so I can phone zombie wherever I go (my ride's this rare). Is the Thinkware almost wireless like this, the external battery pack powers it jus by being in the 12 volt socket and medium distance trips?

Is that the connector that is a Y with one male and two female ends?
