Yeah doing everything in one run isn't easy, I was very cautious to ensure I didn't have to do that. There is always NG+ tho.

@@secretbunnyninja I beat it and I didn't even have to use my plan it killed itself super easy I gave it weakness to fire cast repel on 3 out of 4 of the party and when he did that fire attack he killed himself.

@@Mehmet-uj5fn follow the waypoint, and don’t take any of the side paths. It is not required to fight any of the 6 optional bosses on Tyrant Star.

You can recruit Azelstan on any route of the game, just make sure to have the recruitment guide up so you don't miss any steps. He also isn't needed for any of the CODA requirements, so if you don't want to pick him up that is your choice. Honestly generic Lich'es, using the Ogre Blade stat technique and the Shaman's are just busted if you feed them enough Mag damage stat items. The most important thing is that before you go into CODA# 1: Nybeth MUST show as dead in the Warren Report BEFORE you start CODA Episode #1. Otherwise you miss out on the Blackmoor fight on your return visit, and the best accessory in the game. So its a choice whether you want to deal with that or not. To get through CODA 4, and get its best ending: Canopus, Vyce, Gildas, & Mirdyn must be in your party, and their status of alive or dead in the Warren Report doesn't matter. However Catiua MUST show as alive in the Warren Report to unlock later Coda Episodes, hence the final playthorugh = princess ending. You must also recruit ALL recruitable Xenobians including Deneb prior to finishing CODA 4. If you want to be extra crazy you can even beat the CODA 4 map with just Deneb, Catuia, and Vyse to get some special dialogue and a chance at getting evil Lancelot's sword the Ambicion. the ogre blade technique I am referring to courtesy of a reddit user called akkristor: Ogre blade's bodyswap has two major uses: The first is that when you body swap into a target, you gain that target's level and stats except you retain your INT and MND. So a level 50 character can bodyswap into a level 3 foe (The lowest i can find by going to Tynemouth Hill in chapter 1 via WORLD), and become a level 3 with the INT/MND stats of a level 50. Once you hit level 50 again, your INT and MND have roughly doubled. The second use is that you retain all class abilities of the class you were in when you body swapped OUT. And you retain them permanently, even after changing classes again. So if you take a level 50 Terror Knight and body swap into a level 3 whatever, you still have all the abilities of a level 50 Terror Knight, even if you become a Warrior/Archer/Rune Knight/Knight/whatever. Since the Ogre Blade is a 2h sword, this can be used to collect the skills from the following classes: Warrior, Terror Knight, Dragoon, Juggernaut, Lich, Angel Knight. Lich and Angel Knight: If the person wielding the Ogre Blade transforms into a Lich or Angel Knight, they are still wielding the Ogre Blade. If they then perform a body swap, they retain those abilities. This can lead to making some uber-powerful Generics. Imagine if you will a Rune Fencer with Lich's Meditate IV, Extend II, Nature's Blessing, and Conserver MP, and over 900 INT and MND.

also this game is so long and crazy and has such a huge end game, you dont gotta do it all at once, all this wacky stuff makes it super replayable

So in speedrunning there is this thing called routing. Essentially it is a community working together to find ways to optimize the gameplay in order to reduce the time it takes to beat the game. Given that I am the supermod for this game, naturally I was the first person to submit a completed run for this game. Typically the first run of any given category is the worst run, as multiple heads working together are better than a singular runner. However a community cannot be built around a game until there are SRC mods in place, categories debated, a speedrunning discord established, and other like minded individuals coming together in said discord working as game testers to figure things out over time. As a speedrunner and moderator, and someone who isn't particularly fragile. When I post my first and worst times, I leave them up. It tells a story of how much progress has been made from an individual speedrunner's perspective, to an entire team of dedicated individuals testing things over and over again to get the time down. Most times are never posted, and that is a shame. So much of the history of a game / category is lost because Speedrun.com orphans older times when a player beats their old time. You're attempt at being clever, only reveals how little you know.

This game has serious flaws, which become more and more apparent with repetition. If you can't handle criticism about a product you didn't make I highly suggest you work on your resiliency.

im kind of half and half on the complaints about exp, i personally think archetype exp should have either stayed the same for regicide or even increased. while exp is decreased. i can see why it can be tedious, but you’re also meant to be under leveled to a degree. its especially necessary for this game if you’re doing all the side dungeons, i probably did extra grinding once in the game. it was enough to overlevel me in conjunction with doing all the extra quests, the coliseum, etc. So exp reduction is in fact, necessary here unless you skip all the quests dungeons. regicide probably over does it. sorry if they mentioned it, i kinda had this playing in the background and missed a ton parts of it apart from that, most of the other complaints were stupid af lmao. i personally feel like criticisms about a ng+ are kind of nothing statements in a game played once through by 99% of the people who play it. “replayability” is absolutely nothing burger of a complaint. if a base game is good, its good. the story is great. although i wish there were gay characters cuz a story of oppression only focusing on allegories for race and religion doesnt cover all the discrimination faced by the real world. also most of the women are treated fine, junah has her story and her being a slave/being treated as a doll. they dont really cover gender as a topic either. kind of disappointed on that front as well

Yeah this art is interesting in some of the main dungeons, but it falls off hard outside of the demo content. I was kind of like, why is this getting such good reviews, and my guess is that the people who posted such reviews did so without either A playing the game, or under some kind of agreement to put a positive spin on it. I am pretty much done with the entire RUclips economy with regard to reviews at this point. Its not a bad game, but its an Atlus game with no end-game, and its too derivative from its other properties. To call it a third pillar, like its somehow different, is just incorrect. ***Potential Spoilers*** The worst part about this game is all the interruptions from the fairy, and how attempting to give those interruptions "reasons" for occurring, directly conflicts with the narrative the game is giving you multiple times, thusly making the plot feel completely disjointed and bad. The complete bonehead move to have this like evil shadow senate, and then not use most of its members in any meaningful way, while having one of the main antagonists literally necromancy himself back to life was annoying. The "final" dungeon, you get to Lewis yet again, and the bitch just flies even higher into the sky. There were some parts that felt fresh with a party member and even an antagonist dying. I was honestly thrilled when Lewis seemed to die, but the magic protecting the candidates was pure plot armor at times. For instance Glodell dies from attacking us, but early in the game you can absolutely attack Fordens right hand dude who is obviously high up in the rankings, and nothing happens to you. Maybe because the Kings magic favors the magical ghost consciousness of the prince more than him? Who knows. The whole, you are just magic personified, and then you like merge with the prince, but then like, he doesn't change at all somehow back to retaining some of his original personality, perhaps because it was him all along felt so bad. Like this contest and all the actions are just to keep the established power, and its lineage the default. Just all around a disappointing dumpster fire, with samey dungeons, terrible balancing around levels (pretty much the same trash system from SMT V, which was fixed some in Vengeance, but not completely redeemed) mostly boring standard characters, a few definite good ideas, but at the end of the day this game is just part of Sega's influence over Atlus in the most negative way possible. I can't help but fear that "new" archetypes (Hello DDS 1 and 2), and an endgame will be baked into the penultimate edition. After seeing the absolute boring waifu good girl vs bad girl nonsense that SMT Vengeance added to its mix, I am thoroughly done with re-releases as well. These games just don't want to be canon, its an illusion of a choose your own adventure novel that ends the same way regardless while spewing arbitrary decisions at you, and an ideal utopian society, ala mirroring the MC and Lewis, and how that could be potentially good or bad actually depending on who wins. The only decent re-release Atlus had ever done was Persona 4 Golden. Frankly Sega with Persona and Yakuza and now Metaphor series are becoming boring games with small maps, with way too much talking and grinding in between that appears not to be checked against the plot, in order to give the illusion of a long game, that gaslights you into thinking there is lots of content, when there actually isn't. That being said, its still above average when compared to most. I love games, I have a huge collection of them, I have played RPGs since I was old enough to walk, but I have a strong feeling that Sega isn't going to learn its lesson if its customers don't learn how to control their wallets, especially if those customers take advice from any mainstream RUclipsrs. Japan, wake up. This game is really just another devolution into the Friendship Saves Earth trope, no matter how many game of thrones moments you tried to add. If you didn't hire George RR Martin, to give context and lore to these events, then they are meaningless spectacle. Also all the games about racism, where everyone is the same race, and just had horns or some shit, coming from a 99% ethnocentric society makes you look really dumb. So dumb, especially considering how you treat foreigners who want to move there. You can't teach the world to be better, when you aren't actively as a society trying to be better yourselves. Save your awful messaging regarding Utopia, and making Japan the actual Meta when More attacks us in a mostly pointless symbolic battle, whos point is to say, umm video games are good because they aren't reality so buy more Sega and Atlus properties, makes not only Japan itself, but also Atlus, Sega, and its customers, look like clowns that should take the games advice and find something better to do. What a joke.

@@secretbunnyninja It got good reviews because its a new JRPG franchise which is VERY well executed, even with its flaws.

I mean if you want to run this game the best location to learn how to do so is going to be this discord: discord.gg/pwe7yncyHF. They have a very extensive spreadsheet with most info you will need to know to do the run. Outside of just practicing it a few times, since the game is so linear, I honestly recommend the Merchant until you can get Tycoon. When you return to Grand Trad you can buy double damage / money abacuses for them, and in Tyrant's Star the black human enemy drops Triple Damage / Money Abacuses. If you want to do a vanilla run, just sell all your Mag to the mag exchanger on days when you get bonus gold so you don't run out of money. Outside of that being able to cook amber stew (double damage of next attack), and getting the finisher noodles (30 seconds of instakill on map) as well as the crit bible from finishing Gold Arena I, and this game has no challenge to offer you on any difficulty.

Not to my knowledge, but unless you spend an ass ton of time grinding out archetype exp (which eventually lowers significantly as it scales with your level) its best saved for NG+ in my opinion.

@ yeah, i did it 10 mins ago hahahaha and its better way, in first run u need to get the weapons to make easier this boss, is this or unlock all archetipes in all characters to get the final weapon (i did it, not recomended xd)

I have heard a few people say this, if resetting isn't helping I would personally just lower the difficulty. I know to some this is sacrilege, but if your time is more valuable than playing this game again, thats the best advice I got.

If you're using items or equipment that repels any elements it does that . This happened to me too but skills like magic guard don't prompt him to give himself like 50 turns

In the town with the opera house you have to find Loveless, and he will challenge you to a battle on your gauntlet rider. Once you defeat him he asks you to defeat Milo on his gauntlet ride, who then drops it.

*** Potential Spoilers *** This game has horrible balancing problems that are tied to your level, so if you are too far off you do about 50% damage of normal regardless of how pumped up your stats are. I felt like the whole game the characters talked too much, most of it repetition, the game is filled with choices that are arbitrary, the time system seemed to serve no actual purpose, there are too many party members so when you get the last one, you feel rushed. I didn't hate the game, its certainly better than average, but as a new IP I expected to be surprised more. The whole utopia vs corruption thing has been done before in media multiple times. The plot made zero sense around the time you get the MC's defining archetype. Multiple enemies come back too often, while they underused the senate. The music is repetitive, and its really not its own new thing, its just different art, with a slightly different setting but its fundamentally a Persona game with less of a time crunch, way too many repetitive enemy designs / color swaps, and samey beige dungeons, with the same two gimmicks (switches and crawl holes) some literally taken right from Etrian Odyssey. It feels like the back half of the game was rushed, and it felt even more like there wasn't an Endgame, and the few super bosses they did have, were just annoying gimmick puzzles, outside of electing not to kill the 6 optional bosses on Tyrant's Star so you can fight 8 Press Turn Louis with way too much health, which still didn't present much of a challenge. Sega has a very set formula, exploit the fanbase with an unfinished game, re-release it 2 years later, add plenty of day one DLC, while also underselling collectors editions so only scalpers and resellers get them. Flood the game with way too much dialogue in between scenes, and make multiple small maps with the hopes of gaslighting the player into thinking they played a full game. Yakuza is an even bigger culprit of this mess, but thats a story for a different day.

The switches automatically show up on the map when you get close to them, and they disappear off the map once you use them. If you are lost, make sure to walk around the map until all the clouds are gone.

lol I dunno I didn't even plan on running this, then all of a sudden my brain was like, you know you can do better loser, come on. Got in the zone, and just railed it out. Mostly I eliminated 90% of the menuing, didn't take any bathroom breaks this time, and ran it without consuming 5 krakken and cokes. I doubt I can get it sub 6hrs, but I will likely try again.
