With the 2 fat quarter left overs you can make a fabric bin/basket. Me and My Sister has a great pattern for this in their book It Takes Two. If you don’t have the book, there is a tutorial for it on the Fat Quarter Shop channel when they visited a few years ago. It is easy to make.

Just add a pop of colour with the grey and black items if you feel it’s not quite the right colour for you, either a necklace or scarf xx

My fabric finally arrived but too late to get made up 😢. I'll make it a Christmas gift now with a matching NCW by Emmeline bags. I love pf's bias binding and always add some to the order 😊

EandM’s sock pattern changed my life…well it did give me a go to scrap buster for all those scrummy knit leftovers. For people with neuropathy or who dislike seams in socks, I just make the socks with wrong sides together. Turn them out and the seams are exposed and the inside is quite smooth.

Your Lotto dress is beautiful, Clare! The fabrics you showed are fabulous, too. I’m afraid I go overboard with gonks this time of year. 😂 This year I even ordered a gonk advent calendar for my oldest son and his wife. Supposedly there are handmade, 12” gonks for each day. We’ll see how that goes over. Their house and yard are covered with them; I think his wife is a bit tired of them. Haha.

I am interested in the lip balm holder and plan to make a few of those, thank you. I have an Easy Hobo bag cut out and ready to sew for one gift, and a trio of pouches and a diary cover cut out for two more. I will be making personalised gift tags and Christmas ornaments, as well as pretty lace envelopes for the vouchers that the teenagers in my life have requested for this Christmas, on my embroidery machine.

Morning Clare, I have been a subscriber for ages but only just started commenting so aplogies for not doing so before. Thank you for the inspiration, I shall be making the tea towels, purse, lip balm holders ( great for putting in crackers) the book covers as well... oh my I thought I was done 😂 for Crhristmas. Also I have had my eye on the fabric your jumper is made of for dressing gowns and so my mind is now made up for 2 of those. I've just managed to sew up the nicks bodice, fudged the neckline the pictures on the instructions weren't very clear to me but it looks OK and is a wearable toile 😊
