An interesting and beautiful section of the South Fork of the Payette River in Idaho. Super clear and cool water and lots of boily eddylines. We met a lot of nice folks and stopped at a hot spring near the end.

After three long days of driving on my way to Idaho I stopped for a scenic float on the Snake River in Wyoming. The Alpine Canyon was beautiful and the water crystal clear. I met some nice folks from North Carolina at the put in to bat with, then continued on my way to Boise for a week on the Payette.

MOREL MUSHROOMS IN AN OLD GRAVEYARD
Просмотров 393 месяца назад
April 30th, 2024, I found some nice yellow morels in an old graveyard. I found one here a few years ago but never saw another until this spring. Morels are a delicious edible wild mushroom but MUST be cooked thoroughly. Raw morels are toxic! Also make sure to know the Gyromitra or "false morel" which looks somewhat similar is poisonous. Music is from my Folk-Legacy recording "Music From The Mou...
Bears in a tree at a Private School
Просмотров 3533 месяца назад
A mother bear with two yearling cubs raided a dumpster at a private school where I work as a Safety and Security Officer. I was assigned the task of watching them and keeping people away from the area. A bear biologist from the state of CT recommended I "haze" them to make them less comfortable there. About an hour later they came down and went right for the dumpster again. One more blast of th...

Thank you! -Dave-
Amazing! What a beautiful run!
Such a beautiful river. My favourite.
That looked a bit scary for a moment 😮
Fun🎉
Crazy!
Slightly...
Maybe a little...

That hole was a beast. Kudos on the rescue…not much eddy to work with there
Great run and gorgeous scenery ❤
Great playing folks. 👍
Nicely played ladies and gentlemen. 👍
Thanks John. It was a fun concert!
Nice set.
I love this! Miss our river days.
Damn, these characters showed up on my YT feed again! Stirring versions of those tunes, though!
Arrrggghhh!
We had so much fun playing at Falcon Ridge!
Hmmm....these characters just came up on my feed!
LOL
What level was this at?
Looks like a fun river run!
Especially apt background music for this one.
Pretty nice run guys!
Oh jeez, no thanks. I prefer yaking on my easy chill calm lake.
nice roll up before the flume!!!! i did that upside down in my half slice. crazy times.
My first run of the gorge in a few years. Going back soon I hope, and will muster the courage to run my half slice for the river play...
Nice run! Bank full!
It was a fun ;level for sure. I ran it once at 1,000 cfs... that was pretty exciting!
@@davidpaton2698 Bet you had very few eddy possibilities with a flow like that!
Wood ear.
A beautiful tribute to a beautiful boy. I think of him every day, Dave.
A beautiful tribute the music is so wonderful
this is beautiful, thanks for sharing dave <3
Stunningly gorgeous and sad at the same time
Beautiful piece for beautiful peace!
Beautiful and heart wrenching. Your angel ❤
David, This is a lovely song, I am glad I got to meet Kaelan and spend sometime with him when he was a boy... Kirby
♥💔
Thanks to all our friends and relatives who helped us get through the loss of Kaelan. The entire community stepped up and kept us going. Also to my fine musical friends who volunteered their time and talent to make this recording.
That was a fun dance! There were quite a few first timers on the dance floor and Chloe had them all doing great in no time!
I love my new 26" landing net with a 48" handle. I caught a bigger trout the day after Christmas, 27 inches, eight pounds, and it barely fit in my little net and its head broke a hole in it. There are much bigger browns in this lake which at 106 feet is the deepest natural lake in Connecticut. Last year a guy caught one that was 19 pounds! The bass, pickerel and crappies are also prone to being way big. Stay tuned for more fishing videos this Spring.
It is a jelly fungus (I think), but not an amber jelly roll.
Kayak is a Pyranha Ripper 2, Medium. It is fast, super easy to roll, and is a wave surfing machine!
I chose to paddle my Pyranha Scorch for the comfort and extra carrying capacity for snacks, water and some extra gear in case someone got chilled. Next time I will run my Ripper 2 for the surf waves! Awesome boat, great pals, and a gorgeous day in the Adirondack Park.
I swear I got flipped and tossed out in the same hole as your buddy did! Funny- you make all the big stuff, then a little thing takes you out! Good vid.
Thanks! Yep you never know when the river gods are going to extract a toll...
He’s saying hello 🎉 😂 beautiful animal!
Brave boater! Even better .usic!!!😊
Hey Josh, great to hear from you! This is our "home course" and not scary at all at this level... just fun. Higher water is another story for sure. Lots of sessions, gigs, whitewater and wild mushrooms this summer. Life is good!
Wood ear, not amber jelly
