      @@davidellis9358 thanks for watching. Yes very happy to get probably the most challenging track we have done to date but was so worth it. Life has still been a little slow here not much bike riding while I still recover from being unwell. The flip side is I’ve had time to get these videos done for the channel and start planning some local trips so we are looking forward to getting back out on the trails again soon. 🤙

    Hi rewatching as I think I've missed bits. Great fun. Id be interested to know what tyres you're using and comment on their sealed road behavior. Thanks.

    • @reganrides
      @reganrides 7 дней назад

      @@stoneybd we are using Continental TKC 80 on the front which I think is a great tyre amazing off-road and still very predictable on road with not to much road noise, the rear is Motoz Tractionator adventure this my go to rear tyre I consistently get 10k km out of these and again a great off-road tyre some say they are terrible on wet sealed roads but I never push the limits in the wet so have never had any problems with it. They do become a little noisy as they wear. Tyres are a hard thing to get right as there is always a compromise for us we would rather have better off road use and just ride a little slower and not push the limits on road. Hope this helps thanks again for watching. 😁

    I grew up in Central Otago and as a kid all I wanted was a motorbike to go and explore all the awesome tracks there, but my mum was one of those worrying types, wouldn't let me have one because she thought I'd immediately die. So, I did what I could on my BMX and later my mountain bike, but there's only so far you can go on a mountain bike in a day and still be back in time for tea. Now, all these years later I'm about to purchase my very first motorbike and I can't wait to get back to Central and ride all of the tracks I wanted to ride as a kid. I couldn't quite catch it, which bike are you guys riding?

    • @reganrides
      @reganrides 5 месяцев назад

      Hey @Dannyboy974 we have managed to get a few nights on the new pads after initially having to much air in them the first night where we rolled around on top of them we reduced the air and had a very comfortable sleep the next night. Big thing we like is they are not noisy like our old Sea 2 summit pads and being able to button them together means they don’t slide around underneath you. All in all a great product the biggest down side is the foot pump and we have recently brought a flex tail tiny pump to blow them up as the built in pump is painfully slow. Should be able to give to a good review after we return from our next NZ trip which starts at the end of the week. Yes we are taking our camp gear this trip. @@stoneybd we are using Sena 30K units which we find are great they work on the mesh network which connects and has great sound. As to how well you can hear the other person really comes down to your helmet and speaker placement. We love the Sena as it lets us chat about what’s happening as we ride along or if you’d not in the mood you can each listen to your own music or simply just turn it off it’s your choice. This is the Kriega US-20 Tailpack. Great bit of gear fully waterproof and works very well as a pillion backrest. kriega.com.au/product/us-20-tailpack/

      Great to hear you are enjoying our series. Go and checkout Adventure guide www.adventureguide.co.nz/ The site has had a big revamp and they are now called Adventure tokens. Great concept and can take you to places you might not normally go. Thanks for watching. 😁😁
