I really loved today's message. It made me think...Prayer, like many other things (love, grief, marriage, parenting, divorce, friendship) is incredibly personal and deeply intimate. For me and my prayers I do best with doodling, journaling and writing things down in a notebook I started back around COVID. The notebook has starts and stops along the way and so I can see where I was regularly connected; was SUPER connected and then lost connection....in other words--I can see my journey. If anyone else looked at my journal I am pretty sure that they would not understand it...but they aren't supposed to as it is mine!

I feel closer to God when I go outside at night and look around the stars.

What a lovely reminder of how my mother leaned on the 91st Psalm to get through serious illness and any hard times. And I love it that there’s a Psalm for any emotion.

Great point. Doubt is always a troubling fact of being an intellectual Christian. Your words were, as always, comforting.

Epiktas would like to thank Knobs for all the adventures we shared together. Our entire friendship existed inside an online game, with the exception of the few hours we shared at Thugthedum's wedding, at which I finally met the man behind the mage, and the man spoken so fondly of by his friends and family. I had heard mention of Brooklyn, and I have seen pictures of them together, and her words brought me to tears. I really didn't want to watch this video, because I didn't really feel like I knew Rob well enough to peer into your personal lives, but I did because Kyle is a good friend of mine... now I'm incredibly glad I did, because not only did I learn a lot about him, my remote and online gut instinct of his character and his love for his family were reinforced by all of you. I will never forget the time you and I jumped off of high mountains, spirit-ran all the way to a zone that hadn't implemented flying yet, popped, and flew around the zone on flying mounts, watching local chat light up in disbelief. That was you. Robert the Unpossible. Best wishes to all of you, and rest in peace Robert.

Lent does carry a sense of negativity and I can certainly appreciate the repositioning offered here today. For me the tiniest pieces of light I see pushing through is: -when I was running late to the office and got stuck behind two school bus stops at an apt complex. I saw kids with their parents, friends, grands...a community...not in a hurry and sending one another off for their day in a meaningful way. -its my work. I fight so hard for what I do to be prioritized and seen....I got asked for metrics I cannot provide, but the light was someone actually asked me for something -its my teens pushing back and fighting me as teens on schedules, or activities or actions just to later catch them doing something or considering something either I or their Father encouraged them to do. -its is finding one thing in a sermon that u connect to later in the week at the weirdest times...
