I changed mine to an 11-28 but the freewheel wasn’t smooth through the crank, when pedalling.

I actually deliberately set my ebike up for ghost pedalling so I can be lazy!

Does this work with converting a single speed ebike? I have the tomofree z1 with a 14x2.125 wheel and 1000w hub motor and was looking at this kit. Any ideas on how i can change it to a 7 speed?

And seriously, all these e-bikes come with non-cleated, non-caged pedals. Exactly who spins with clipless pedals? No one.

Most e-bikes hit a 100 RPM spinning range (ie. clown pedaling) on level 2 (out of 5) of pedal assist, - they are clearly not designed by people who actually ride bikes. My guess is the designers simply use the bicycle as a moped after level 3 pedal assist.

I just put on a 11 - 28 t freewhel an 60t crankset an changed out my 20 × 4 fat tires to 20× 3 street tires an bike handles so much better increased my speed an better battery life
