Same thing i wonder all the time and yup my duramax had to be drained like this 3 months ago when the plastic 90 elbow cracked and pissed coolant everywhere
Does the snap ring on the input shaft cause the truck to go on neutral if it breaks?
Yes I believe it will. The shaft will pull back into the case.

Hey Andrew, where do you send your injectors out for cleaning? Is there anywhere in the Niagara area I can send them to?
Industry diesel and turbo services in Oakville can do them.

@screamindieselltd I called them and Taylor deisel, it's actually cheaper to just get new injectors. I also asked about a p7100 rebuild. They want 2900 to 4000 depending on what it needs. Crazy
I got no oil coming out of the discharge nozzle on 5 of my injectors. Could the IDM be the issue or what could be the problem? Ipr is 13.76%. ICP 671. Buzz test wont clear out as i try to swap connections with injectors to see if it is the injectors or something else. All injectors ohmed at basically 3.0 ohms at the valve cover. Have not ohmed the wiring harness but it and all connections look great. Valve cover gaskets only have 4,000 ish miles on them. Just did a motor swap and the truck shakes at higher speeds/load.

If youre doing all the same mods, except for the regulated return/fuel bowl delete, you do not have to take the fuel bowl out to get to the HPOP. With an extension it is not very hard to get to the 2 bolts holding it in.
What are the symptoms of valves being out of spec?
I just replaced bank 1 sensor and now it shows communication loss
OEM part or aftermarket?

I am going to try an old sensor that I kept and see if that one loses communication
@@screamindieselltd I tried to clear the code and it wouldn’t clear
OEM is always the way to go with stuff like that. Aftermarket parts have been garbage for the past 3-4 years. Old sensor may have got damaged taking it out or something like that and not be working anymore as well.

Just subscribed. I used to drive an 03 with a 7.3 that had the same tuner. Things was nice. I just purchased a 00 with a 7.3 and it has a different brand tuner. Thought about purchasing one of these to use instead.

Yes you are because you can’t get the 2 bolts at the bottom of the headlight assembly with the front bumper in place honestly.
The diode, that you use to fix this after you recalibrated. The TPS, what is the part number of that diode?

Hey man, just put a new lpop in a truck, started ran great but the relief valve is sticking in the bore, i can physically move it in and out by hand, feels smooth but keeps sticking, any ideas other than putting a timing cover on it?
The injector thread size is 12 mm or 14 mm x 1.5 and use a 3/4 pipe nipple and a washer
Good informative video. Thank you. I’ve got a friends 97 power stroke with a hard starting and rough running when cold. I’ve narrowed down to no injector operation on cylinders 2 & 4. Once it runs and reaches operating temp it runs fine the rest of the day. Cools down over night and it’s the same symptoms. Lots of corrosion in the bulk connection and the connector at the IDM. Clean them and same problem. Continuity testing shows no wiring problems and will ohms test the injector now that I know how but I’m pretty sure IDM is bad.
Is there something you put in the tps to calibrate it what is the multi meter making contact with exactly?

First step is to find a parts truck to do the swap. Depending on the year of suv you need to get the same generation of pickup. This swap was super easy.
since you lost your oem Exhaust break, Did you upgrated to the BD Diesel Exhaust break?
Did not lose factory brake. The turbo is a direct bolt up with a pre-calibrated holset actuator already installed.
@@screamindieselltd Interesting! can get mine to work after replacing my turbo with a bd diesel without exhaust actuator in it. But did buy the one that connects to exhaust pipe.
That spring also sometimes gets stretched out and needs to be replaced, check it

What’s ur take on LDS 45 now today with all the hate , reviews on these lb7 forums . Best prices around with 45 -65 overs . Is it a scam To get ya ? Or they legit . They said they were the number one go to place for them cuz they sold s&s but they make there own on now so wanted to hear your take?
I’ve never used them. I have suppliers for all my parts I get. But usually if they are cheap there is a reason.

No. There’s only 3 wires connected. Power, toggle for the OD solenoid and TCC solenoid
@@screamindieselltd yeah i just figured that out, for some reason only one of my switches work on my shifter, when i’m in drive (3rd) i press and it kinda like launches it harder but by the time i get too 65 my rpm’s are sitting at 2500, and it doesn’t seem like my trans is overheating since my temps are staying normal so i thought maybe my TC only locks up and it’s just not shifting into OD, would you know how to fix that?

Just out of curiosity, how did you get the pan past the bell housing? I have a 2009 F550 with the 6.4 (1 piece pan) and the turbo has about 3/4" until it will hit the cowl. The pan sits above the bottom of the bell housing about 4".

Twisted together. Couple drops of solder. And tape or shrink tube
Blue dolphins with the waterproof gel inside. Theyre like little iron maidens. They got a bunch of little spikes inside. Twist em up put a dolphin on there and crimp. 12$ /1000
Ah some good old 14-2 works fine.
jokes on you, my whole engine loom and sound system is twisted together with tape going on 19 years

That was just a piece I used for the video. The heat shrink was already on.

I was always told cars vibrate to much for soldered wire
I do use butt connectors but cover them with shrink tube. I do agree that the connection in the video is the best way to make connection.
What do you charge to do these modifications for a 2002, 7.3 ??
This was 8500 roughly. Customer already had the turbo on the truck for the fueling. Prices have probably changed though.

great video was the pcm flash to have the obd2 port work? but i also heard some scanners work without the falsh with the modis scanner did it just work i have triton D10 and a zeus+ it dont comunicate with the pcm
The flashing was just tuning. My scanner would always communicate
I have a question about the ECM, so would this affect the emision test??
I would suggest against doing this when emissions testing is required. But that brings said if it’s good tuning and the a fuel is turned down it should be fine. A vehicle that old would probably just be a snap test.
