Screamin' Diesel Ltd is a family owned diesel performance and repair shop. We opened in 2013 and has been serving southern Ontario, Canada ever since. We do everything from brake jobs to full high horsepower builds.

In this video we have an 07 6.0powerstroke that has a no start when hot, we will run through the diagnostic procedure for this problem and show the fix for this particular truck.

Yeah, cold solders and higher resistance is just a much a possibility with solder man
Twisted together. Couple drops of solder. And tape or shrink tube
Blue dolphins with the waterproof gel inside. Theyre like little iron maidens. They got a bunch of little spikes inside. Twist em up put a dolphin on there and crimp. 12$ /1000
Ah some good old 14-2 works fine.
jokes on you, my whole engine loom and sound system is twisted together with tape going on 19 years
Been in business 10 years and still forgot to slip the shrink on before soldering 😂😂😂😂
That was just a piece I used for the video. The heat shrink was already on.
Lol dont use solder on automotive wiring. That is how clowns that like to waste time do things.
I was always told cars vibrate to much for soldered wire
I do use butt connectors but cover them with shrink tube. I do agree that the connection in the video is the best way to make connection.
What do you charge to do these modifications for a 2002, 7.3 ??
This was 8500 roughly. Customer already had the turbo on the truck for the fueling. Prices have probably changed though.

No the pump isn’t that smart lol.
On the 2008 jeep grand cherokee is the lower ball joint removable or it's a part of the control arm
great video was the pcm flash to have the obd2 port work? but i also heard some scanners work without the falsh with the modis scanner did it just work i have triton D10 and a zeus+ it dont comunicate with the pcm
The flashing was just tuning. My scanner would always communicate
I have a question about the ECM, so would this affect the emision test??
I would suggest against doing this when emissions testing is required. But that brings said if it’s good tuning and the a fuel is turned down it should be fine. A vehicle that old would probably just be a snap test.

9-12 depending on how things look and go in the truck. But this was a couple years ago so prices on parts may have changed.

What year and model truck is that? IDM looks easier to access than mine.

@@screamindieselltd thanks. I had to answer my real question the hard way. I have a '97 and I've seen at least 3 RUclipss saying I have to peel away the liner in the front left wheel well where it's deeply hidden. Well, after a horrible job of bending part of it back, I was looking into the engine compartment. The IDM, which I thought was the PCM, is right there like yours. Do you happen to know how tough it is to pull and diagnose the power fuse box right next to it? I find that the relay coil high side for the IDM is only reading 9V. My whole IDM issue may be that it's not getting basic power. The power pin on the IDM connector reads zero with the ignition on.

Buddy’s been using a gps. He’s older and the cost can’t be justified on the truck. It’s a 98 with a 12 valve in it. So it has some 24 valve parts and 12 valve parts. Components needed can not be sourced.
@@screamindieselltd I bought a gps speedo for $12 on Amazon . Plugs into cigarette outlet. Nice video
He can just listen I had to drive my manual isuzu like that to speedo or tach it's super easy once u know what to listen for

Sadly a poor solution for an automatic transmission.
How so? This is what we came up with working with the customer to get the truck back driving for him. Not ideal but with a truck that has electrical parts made of unatainium it works.
@screamindieselltd it no longer operates as a automatic transmission and could be rather dangerous with the wrong person behind the wheel, which depending on the state this shop might be liable for.. Is this the forum hill billy fix for 1st gen 2nd gen dodge cummins with eletrical trans woes? Sure. Is it a professional fix? No.
All other options were tried. It was either scrap the truck or this. And this is what the customer chose to do. Parts needed can not be sourced for the truck. I agree it’s not the best way but it’s what worked to at least get him driving again.
@screamindieselltd LOL, well, that's not true. Their's like a dozen companies that rebuild the pcms. Less than $200. A multitude on ebay alone .Most of the parts are still available. Lastly their are multiple standalone transmission controllers made specifically for this application that are damn near plug and play.
Has a new PCM in it and only half the issues were fixed. Needs a whole harness. Customer didn’t want to spend over a grand on a stand alone for it. It’s an early 98 that’s rough. He’s an older guy and just needs to make it out a couple times a month with a small trailer. I’m not saying there are no other ways to fix it. This is the way we came up with with the customer.
Tell us you drive a jeep, without telling us you drive a jeep.

@@screamindieselltdoh chit. Same dash as my old TJ, but mine was stick. However, my auto jeep XJ had the same problem. Wouldn't move in drive, had to shift up from first, till I rigged up the same switches. Hope my new cummins don't do this one day. Rock-on.

There are some folks out there that should not be in the business of tuning. Trucks deleted so tuning was nothing to do with us.

lol. Have you tried dans diesel performance? I know they do a lot of duramax stuff but they may be able to help. Or scheid diesel depending on where you are in Illinois.

Is it common to have to adjust these at 200,000? My truck has a slight ticking coming from the passenger side and it’s in tune with the rpm’s… my injectors are fine no white smoke or anything.
Yeah it is possible. They are not hydraulic lifters and so if the gap gets wider then you have to adjusted it manually
