    I added water in tiny increments until the dough was a SOUP and it cracked the whole time. They all looked like the bad example tortilla 😞 I don’t understand

    Great video. Gracias! I started to make tortillas yesterday. I use Maseca corn flour and I thought I had enough water but I didn't as they all look like the dry one at 8:20 of your video. It is interesting too that the Maseca bag has slightly different instructions. I like yours better though. Going to try for batch #3 today. Deseame suerte.

    use a cast iron pan. takes a few more minutes to heat up but retains heat well.

    If you want super soft fluffy tortillas do what I do and use bread flour. I have never been able to make halfway decent tortillas until I started using bread flour.

    What you were doing wrong was following youtubers instead of enjoying what you were doing. I bet those tortillas still tasted better than anything one can buy from the shop, puff or no puff. At any rate if the water fizzles in any of those materials it means the surface is not hot enough. Now to the rest of the video...thank you for your efforts.
