www.skateworldkilleen.com SKATEWORLD is the new rink in Killeen, Texas. Just outside the main gate of Fort Hood, It is the only rink in the world known to have a working police car in the middle of the skating floor. We have worked very hard to provide a safe place for the children of Central Texas to come and have a great time. We also have great birthday parties, so come out and see a beautif...
I was stationed at Daenner Kaserne 1983-1985 and took the large segemented MANN Bus to K-town every chance i could, especially to see the wood carvers during the holiday season.
Sounds like your wife is going to make you regret this video 😂
They just turned down that building
Oh yeah!!!
Many thanks!
the Pfaff-Factory is closed and most torn down, sad
3x das Video angesehen, immer wieder was entdeckt wie ehemalige Geschäfte, die alten Stadtbusse usw. Love the 80‘s 😊
Thanks for sharing, Dennis. This video always gives me the feals. K-town in the 80s was THE BEST! I remember when that McDonalds started selling chicken nuggets. Lol
Amazing to see this. I live on Vogelweh now in 2024. It’s Crazy seeing the Armstrong Club in the same spot 40yrs ago
На 12.00 минуте играет советское "я танцевать хочу, я танцевать хочу до самого утра" инструментальная версия. 😮
Man, I was waiting for Linda to slap the dude behind the camera! He was very mean to her the entire time 😒
Watching this today from Vogelweh housing in 2024. What a precious moment in time captured in video.
Agreed!
Amazing, thank you so much from ktown 2024, many regards
Great video, but what a 🍆
trés bons souvenirs service militaire 88/90 KAISERSLAUTERN ❤❤, (FRANCE)
Hatte noch net gelebt aber sehr interessant
K-town has degraded badly since 2015. Dirty and not safe. It needs a revival.
Does anyone remember the Stadt Athen Greek restaurant in ktown back in the 80s?
Amazing. I lived there in K-Town from 82-86. We didn’t live in the base housing though. I loved it, this is just the way I remembered it. Thank you for sharing. 😊
Thank you for sharing this video. I lived in downtown Kaiserslautern near the Mainzer Tor as a single Airman from January 1984 until I moved into base housing on Ramstein in 1988 after marrying a local German Girl. So, this video really brought back some great memories. Thanks again for sharing. Its just as I remember it.
ZOO HOFFMAN! The best pet shop ever!
What a time capsule and high valuable footage! I'm impressed as a local citizen, born a long time after the date of this footage, how things have changed from time to time. Thank you for this piece of history of my hometown!
We lived in bldg 1104 from 1981-1985 . I was a firefighter at the Vogelweh fire dept
Thank you for posting . I lived in vogelweh as well as working at the vogelweh Fire Department 1981-1985 .
Rude comments about your wife's driving skills should be privat !
That mcdonalds closed a few years ago for some reason
Dankeschön!!!!
A place I thought I’d never see again in my life 😩😩😩🙏
Omg that’s when I lived there! My dad was named Stg Greg Fisher - We lived at 2722 vogelweh dr! Right there where the two guards sat around the block from that officers club... have no clue how I remember that from 1984!😋 I went to Kaiserslautern Elementary. And I use to love going to the McDonalds in town! They use to have green apple soda and green milkshakes. Fget what flavor but the states never carried those flavors. Man I remember the soft pretzels 🥨 and the brochen with jelly and butter. Miss this place soooo much🙉 wow omg I just heard u say Vogelweh!!! Omg That was my street! This was soooooo dam amazing to see! Speechless!!!!!!! NASTALGIA THANK YOUUUU😩😩🙏🙏😋💕✨
Interesting, was with the 533MP Co. 65-66 and barracks were at the end of Vogelweg at that time, but patrolled Landstule and Ramstein area. Had a fantastic time in and around K-town along with traveling all around Europe for 1 1/2 years. Just a fact, the 65 Mustang was for sale at the PX for $1999.
Were you at Kapaun Barracks or Polaski?
Anyone remember Tilly's Taco's?
Was stationed there in ROB and lived in Vogelwey from 1982-1990. Kept looking to see if I was on this film...lol.
Hey all. Some utterly awesome and deeply sentimental commentary here. Was in D-Land 3 years (80-83) and this vid of K-town brought back a barrel of joyous memories, for me, too. Duty station (North Point) suuuuucked, but all else was good. Anyone else remembering you'd better study hard, to pass the German DL exam? LOL. Life without a POV license in the hinterlands, could get dull quick! Special thanks to the poster of this marvelous video. Peace to all.
Thx very much for sharing... I was seven in 1984....Kaiserslautern looks totally different today at many places...
Dude, you’re a bit of a dick to your wife.
My goodness such a long drive for a McDonald’s! Lol
Wow wow wow, did that bring me back to my childhood. Was born in Rockenhausen, but grew up in Sippersfeld, Kaiserslautern was the town we did all our shopping at. I spend plenty of summer vacations in that town with relatives. Thank you so much for this video.
I left in 1984, loved it there. I worked at the officer’s club in high school.
Holy shit. We found the very first Vlog! This guy was decades ahead of his time.
Wow, so many changes, MacD is no longer in the inner city. Some streets are gone, the hospital is bigger now, the old theater gone, Karstadt gone, now bigger gotten a mall ... And so on ... Oh my ... Pfaff was still operating, good old days, there was still hope, now they were bought a few times, a lot smaller, no longer in the city. Thanks for sharing and "walking" down memories' lane.
If you had taken a left when you first drove onto Vogelweh, you would have passed 1122, where I lived 1976-1984.
Kaiserslautern, die Stadt der Pfaff !!!
What a nice timetravel! Best audio - and the Vogelweh is the Volkswagen (VW)?
Thanks for posting this.
Als "alter Lautrer" einfach super anzusehen!!! TomTom
I was stationed in Kaiserslautern from 1981-1985. I enjoy watching this video. Brought back many memories.
I was there 83 to 86. Remember the brochien man( blue van) and that hill we would go with sleds when it snowed. Honecken Castle...Frau Lenienbach( german teacher) and yes AFN...ITS 10OCLOCK...DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR CHILDREN ARE...great memories!! Thanks for sharing
Das ist gut.
Good song with a story about rock and roll in Kaiserslautern: ruclips.net/video/_Oqs6kV8OJY/видео.html
