He also produced Stranger Things and directed a couple of episodes, including the one with Running Up That Hill (that, alongside Mariah Carey's Fantasy in Free Guy and Madonna's Like a Prayer in D&W, shows that he has a thing for pop song montages). Joe Rogan interviewed him a week before the election. Everyone had already decided who they were voting for. Trump won because he's honest and can see exactly what is wrong with the country. Kamala lost because she couldn't answer one damn question.

Rogan was a very small part. I keep hearing people in denial pontificate on why he must’ve gotten elected. It must be he had more money. It must be Joe Rogan. It must be him working at McDonald’s. It must be him getting shot. That’s not what he got elected.

I think if Kamala had gone on JRE, it would have done more harm than good for her campaign.

Trump would've won regardless. Yes his appearance on Joe Rogans podcast got a lot of people to watch, but those were viewers from all over the world not just the United States. It maybe helped a little to win the popular vote, but popular vote doesn't mean you win an election.

Let's stop and think. In 2020 Trump got 74m votes, in 2024 Trump got about 75m votes. So Trump pulled the same high numbers as he did in 2020 (where Rogan didn't help him), but Harris only managed 70m votes, to Biden's ridiculously absurd 81m votes. Is it Rogan's fault that ~11m votes didn't show up for Harris?

Got to disagree, winning an election is about lining up support, people voting is just more support. Trump won because he lined up the support to win. And I'd say Elon Musk did much more for Trump than Joe. Buying Twitter and restoring balance to the force, SpaceX inspiring awe, pride in our country, and hope, and just a few millions. And just having such a guy step right up with you, like Elon did, had to have an effect on getting others to step up as well.

It's a bit early to tell what made the difference. Historians needs a good 10-20 years to sort it out. For what it's worth, here is my hot take. Images are powerful and heaven's forbid, that one should have never happened, neither to him nor to any other candidates for that matter, but that fist up in bold defiance after the failed assassination attempt, I am willing to bet that it's the image we will remember decades from now. Yes the very neutral and objective medias commented it like failed sports analysts and quickly tossed it under the rug of the news cycle. And yes, I'm willing to bet my house that if it happened to Kamala, they would not let it go up to this day, no less than they did with Jan 6. But I strongly believe (and I can be wrong) that this image stuck in many voter's mind. Much more inspiring than a word salad to avoid answering simple questions.

I don't think that it was ONLY Rogan that helped him out on. He was on a lot of my favorites! Theo Von and Tim Pool are some of my favorite examples. But of all the podcasts that Trump went on, I feel that Rogan probably had the biggest effect on November 6th. Americans are waking up to just how much the mainstream media controls so much of any and all narratives. COVID is when a great majority of people started realizing what is really behind the curtain, so to speak. I think it really hurt her by having a ridiculous list of demands to even give up 45 mins of her time. I mean shit, for the majority of the nation she was plucked from obscurity as the VP pick anyway. No one really knew her. And as a vice president, you dont really do much in the spotlight anyway. Republicans and democrats didnt like her as the VP pick. Biden said he picked her because she was a PoC and because she was a woman. And that was just a ploy as it is to show the young voters that he's "with the time's". But those are both awful reason to pick someone. It should have been the most qualified as the pick. He could have ran with Bernie Sanders, he could have ran with RFK. He could have chose AOC. But no, he chose Kamala and no one liked her. People in California hated her from her past career. And for various reasons the rest of the nation hated her. Then all of a sudden shes the nominee by default and is being propped up by the media while Trump is being called Hitler 🙄 And i remember in 2016 when i was at the offices of a magazine that my ex was the print editor for, seeing artwork that someone had in the hallway putting a hitler mustache on trump in a sort of andy worhol ripoff pop art design. And my immediate reaction to that is the same now when people call trump hitler. And that is complete and utter disgust. Check the body count. You don't just invoke hitler because you have fears of what a person might do.
