Yeah it really is beautiful. The board when you first see it can blow your mind. But when you’ve played the game the board actually makes sense and is very easy to use. The player turns are very straightforward. But the complexity is all around just what paths you choose to trigger the icons that will work the best for what you are planning to do. It’s a great puzzle of a worker action game 🤗 perhaps we will get to play it one day 👍😎

I've not had another play through yet to have a feel for that - but it does have something like 13 endings - so there is re-playability built into it. I really enjoyed playing it and would definitely replay it a few times - but as you say with something like this there will be a point where you have gotten all you want out of the game. Well worth a look though 👍

I don’t play many computer games so I’m not sure. But I sure do love a GMT Game 🥰👍😎 Yes hopefully one day you will get to play one and enjoy. The COIN games are awesome and can be played solo if that’s a thing you are into 👍

@@Roman666999 our understanding is that it scores in the same way whether it’s in your hand or play area. The benefit of playing it is you protect the card from being stolen by those mean sharks, but you lose the benefit of the duo’s effect. You can choose to keep the duo and starfish in your hand, but watch out they don’t become shark dinner. Hope that helps 🤗

Century Spice Road is a brilliant clever little game. We love that one :) And Charioteer really is a superb racing game - we are really enjoying that!! I was surprised when I realised we had 149 games beginning with C - we have games everywhere - literally running rapidly out of room as we live in a small old mining terraced house. I hope you get to play Camel Up and Clank and Cthulhu Death May Die - all wonderful games!!! Are you going to Essen this year??

@@thefunwithboxes Yes I will go to Essen. It will be my second time there. Most probably I'll be working at a small booth again demoing the game Dutch Resistance: Orange Shall Overcome. A great pick up & deliver/danger management game about the Dutch resistance during WW II. But (I hope) I have much time to meet people.

Hi. I have Cartaventura games but had not played them - but just played part way through one now to answer your question 🙂 They are similar as in they are a 'choose your own adventure" games - but work quite differently. In Cartaventura you are laying out a map of cards onto a table and having to do a lot of card manipulation and reading - where Washed Ashore is played completely in your hand using its clever system of flipping and rotating cards. The only cards you put on a table are the item cards you discover. But apart from that you are drawing cards into your hand and manipulating in your hand making this a very portable gaming experience. If you enjoy Cartaventura I'm sure you would enjoy this too. I’d have to say The Lost World by Arthur Conan Doyle But my goodness there could be quite a few more to list!!! Bram Stokers Dracula, Robinson Crueso, Great Expectations, anything by Edger Allan Poe, H P Lovecraft …… just soooo many 🤗🤗👍

It really is amazing the variety of themes covered in modern day board gaming - always interesting to see what they will come out with next.

I must admit I do like a push your luck game and have only recently discovered Can't Stop!! And I literally can't stop!! 🤣 So I'm like you - I push my luck too far - which Lisa finds hilarious. I'm so glad you like the stop motion parts - they are my favourite things now - they take a lot of time to do - but I hope it's worth it in the end. I started them because I did not want people to see my hand tremors when I was opening boxes - but now I'm shooting a lot of how to play videos so its inevitable that my hands will be seen. But I'm still keeping the stop motion parts!! Yay!! 😃 Soooo chuffed you like them 😊
