@8888transportpix Yep, I was thinking the same. I've videoed Tronox mineral sands with 110 /112 wagons in length. Another 10 wagons, attached would be too long for the 1800m crossing loops. Thanks.

@@westernaustraliatrainscene5689 Yes, even an extra 10-12 wagons weekly is adding a fair bit of tonnage, without need for a second full service.

@vsvnrg3263 You answered the question, in your second part of your comment. The Tronox mineral sands train, still arrives every Friday evening, into Kwinana as scheduled. But as extra bonus, for local railfans last few trips. Has arrived the next day, Saturday in daylight. Due to delays with line closures , with bushfires etc. I will post up a Tronox loaded mineral sands train, on one of those Saturdays. It had 110 wagons in the consist. So yeah with 10 wagons added to an TGE Intermodal, it helps to get more loading of mineral sands across from Broken Hill.

@ACDZ123 Yeah that's what I was thinking four tracks linking up to two. Was a bit of mismatch of track geometry, when the Thornlie spur was just single track off the Armadale Line. Pre shudown.

@aurelius2277 Yeah, sometimes the consists of the Kal Fteighters can be of a decent size. Though these trains are known as mixed freights. They mainly just haul freight for the mining sector. From Kwinana, AGR Australian Gold Reagents supply to the Gold industry, solution and solid sodium cyanide. For the extraction of gold from the rock ore Cockburn Cement, from it's Munster Cement works at Sondcem siding, supply lime, used for the processing of gold. Distillate fuel from either BP siding in Kewdale. Or the fuel siding at Kwinana, is for use by the mine sites in the Goldfields for power to their generator plants. And other customer use. Lynas Rare Earth Processing Facility in Kalgoorlie processes the rare Earth concentrate. That is from their Mt. Weld mine site near Leonora. The product is railed in sea containers via the Kalgoorlie Freighter to be hauled again by rail to NQRT. An Aurizon working. Shipped from Fremantle to Rare Earths Malaysia plant for further processing. An USA plant is also being set up for this off shore processing. Hope this helps. Not sure of other chemical products that are also carried on these In the Swan Valley, just south of Millendon Junction, there is also one of those axle counters checkpoints. It may be similar like you mentioned?.

@Sandgroper100 Thanks for your comment. That is the long term plan, working towards that project. So all lines, will handle 6 car sets, both B & C series. I do wonder, if the A series continue for some time in the future? As at times for special events, there'd be enough rail cars to handle the crowds. And still have enough rail cars to operate the full Transperth rail system. It'll take some years to complete! I recently read a report that besides Meltham station, two other stations that serve the Ellenbrook Line out of Perth, will be extended to six car platforms. So then, 6 car B & C series railcars would be able to operate to Ellenbrook. I'd imagine, the period of no A series in service. Three car B series be the norm for Fremantle and Midland Lines. Until all stations have extended platorms. I'm not aware as yet, of the other stations on the southern section of the Armadale Line. If they are being extended to six car length platforms during the Armadale Line Metronet shutdown works?

@@allychat8496 Well that was the story some months ago, last year 2024. That the Indian Pacific was to be bypassing East Perth Terminal in 2025. The answer to that, is to see which tracks the Indian Pacific uses through Midland Saturday 4th January 2025. Bearing in mind that the Prospector arrives at East Perth Terminal 1.45pm on Saturdays. It needs to clear out of the platform before the new arrival time of the IP at 2.45pm.

Hey Ally, Saturday arrivals and departures are at East Perth Terminal for 2025. As seen today 4th January . The Prospector from Kalgoorlie arrived into the dock platform. Good news all round.

@aurelius2277 Hi Aurelius, thank you. I'm hoping someone can give you answers re your queries. When the Indian Pacific departed Esst Perth Terminal on Saturday 4th January 2025. It took only about 8 minutes to exit onto the down suburban line. Only held one waiting railcar set at East Perth suburban station. Details in the next Indian Pacific video. People are commenting on how the Ellenbrook Line trains after arriving at Perth Station. That the trains run empty to Daglish to use the turnback siding to return to Perth to pick up passengers. That apparently is creating out of sequence gap patterns between the Fremantle and Airport train services. Like it would be better, if the empty not in service Ellenbrook trains on the Perth - Daglish section. Carry passengers.
