I’m surprised you can add Corys with pea puffers. I actually have a tank with Corys kuhliis and a BN pleco and hoping to add maybe 3 or 4 female pea puffers to it. Amano shrimp are awesome by the way. They’re always eating and it’s hilarious to see them take a big chunk of food and run away with it

it would have to be a full grown bristle nose or common plegó , anything smaller doesn't have the skin , and would get stressed by the fish

In my peacock for tank and I have 30 of them and 75 I have two small plecos some white clouds a couple Cory cats in a couple Hillsdale watches tanks heavily planted they all get along perfect spin up and running that way for 4 years

The male to female ratio isn't much of an issue considering all pea puffers begin as female, and once they establish their territory one becomes more dominant and becomes a male. So I really don't understand why people stress this one so much with this species. Unless you're buying them as adults, which is pretty rare to find in a pet store anyway

Well, my pea puffer fish killed all of my corydoras in a few weeks.

Thank you for this Video. I have had my fish for two month's or so now. They have only had frozen blood worm's. I got the live daphnia and realised I didn't know how much or how long I should add them for. As I only have 4 puffers, I won't add the whole bag. Thanks again. Liked ad subscribed 👍

I have three pea puffers, and they're all super aggressive. They have eaten everything I have introduced from chinese algae eaters to shrimp.

If you have skinny puffers wasting away, but still eating.. Also, try Fritz Expel P. For different parasites. Has helped my Green Spotted, Figure 8, and the Fahakas.. Whenever they we're too skinny to eat, they died so far.. You will know within 24 hours, if Expel P is the right one for your parasite issue... Then complete the treatment.

R pea puffer slow grower the ones i have are fry size which make them difficult to feed

My 4 pea puffers don't seem interested in eating snails. They prefer bloodworms live blackworms. Is that normal? Also, can I keep the snail bucket outside?

Listen guy, I am not telling you how to run your show, but I have raised Peas for about 25 years now and you are going to need a lot more plants in that tank if your going to house that many peas in there. If your going to house more than two peas your going to need a tank filled with plants not just a few hear and there. They need large leaf plants like Java ferns, Crypto, Amazon swords, jungle val. If you don't plan on getting somemore plants in there soon, you want have but one or two left in about a week.

Mine pea puffer is new but is floating around and hardly eating any ideas on what I can do to help? My tank has been set up before getting the fish for about 2 weeks

Haha I got like 10-15 Khuli Loaches they're adorable!! But annoying, it's my trouble children bc yep they have went into the filter more than 5 times in a month when I first got them 😂😤

Thx for this info. I keep in mind that they're not recommended with other community fish tho. But I been researching alot of other fish that could be a good option.

Great video! thank you I have two snail tanks. one with only pond snails (i have to clean quite regularly because of the eggs, no heater but our house is around 19celcius so they lay eggs a lot) I am also currently building a third. I have decided to plant some live plants in the substrate, I am dry seeding tonight! I think because I don't want to disturb my planted tank too much I will keep the pond snails out of the new planted tank. but my goal is to have fish, shrimp, nerite snail and brine shrimp in the planted tank. Hi there I recently fell in love with this adorable fish . Although I originally wanted different kinds of community fish I like them enough to only keep one in my community tank . However I was disappointed when I learned that they are not a beginner fish :( . I want one so bad though . I already own two parrots so realistically I can’t afford to spend to much money and time . Is there a way I can save money and time . Buy letting their food sources live and breed in the tank . I was thinking getting snails in their to breed as a food source, using frozen bloodworm cubes, and feeding him earthworms from my backyard(if it is safe ) . Advice is very appreciated I don’t know much .

Isha it’s probably one of the best available to us in the UK but there is a flaw with their instructions which is widely recognised in fish keeping communities. You need at least three days contact time for it to be completely effective this is where you went wrong not your fault you just did what it tells you to on the bottom which is wrong

Hi I don't know if you still read the comments but I just got a dwarf puffer and for the past two days I was wondering why it doesn't seem to want to eat the frozen bloodworms? My puffer is accompanied by 3 SAE's aswell but they don't seem to be getting in the way at all...
