When this came out in mid 60s it was quite controversial and there were songs written as rebuttal At the time I thought it was a great addition to the canon of Western Civilization. Now I think it is an interesting period piece and a worthy footnote to a turbulent time. Your rendition and revised lyrics are excellent and thank you for sharing

I love your voice and your words and your emotion. I've listened to Barry sing his words 100s of times. It was my anthem back in the 60s. I lived in LA and wondered if I would have enough time to tell my mom I loved her before the atomic bomb annihilated everything. I didn't believe in Viet Nam, but the army got me anyway. Now, with climate change we're doing it all over again. I even wrote my own song "Eve of climate change is the new eve of destruction." I wish I had your voice and emotion.
